Using arrows to hunt GS is kinda wtf xD They had really bad loot, so you did actually almost always lose money hunting GS back then before they added all the addon items and creature products but still. I did some math, and hes getting roughly 30k exp/h which is pretty bad even for back then. With bolts and similar skills you could easily get 40-45k exp/h on GS and level 100s with really good skills could get up to 50-60k exp/h in poh by also killing orcs and other stuff in between giant spiders.
