You can put medium water tanks on top of the medium warehouses as your water storage is full. One on each side where the steps are going to the water pumpers, that way they only have to nip down the stairs to drop off their inventory
Dont forget to leave small food and water storage on ´obtain’ at various places so your beavers don’t have to run to the center every time they are hungry or thirsty
I always find it interesting what job that people make the overflow for extra beavers. I use Haulers as that job because of the number of jobs available and have it as the lowest priority.
Your trees will always come in a consistent stream of growth because they are planted at that same rate. Sure the longest grow times suck initially as you have to wait, though they allow for the most logs per tree chopping task, space, and time. So, currently your beavers get less logs for doing more tree cutting and you get less logs overall for the same space of land and time. Id advise replacing them as you chop the birch and pines. It only makes sense to grow those other trees until your maples start maturing. (unless for other resources)
If you hold down tab you'll be able to see all your storage buildings, what's assigned to them, and how much is in it. You'll also be able to change what the building stores without having to click on each individual one. It's really handy when you start building complex stacked storage designs.
You could even Use the three by three Metal Platform on top of the Pillars for the Aquaeduct. Have the overhangs start from opposite sides and put one row of platforms with impermeable floors in the middle that way you even get a bigger span.
You Can cut the travel time for your beavers to reaching the storage9000 by including a stairewell up on that final platform once built (you was waiting for the tnt to level) + a passage way between the new metal salvaging area to your smelting area be really helpful in saving your poor haulers running around the entire map :)
You don’t need to place 1 height platforms in the middle of the medium storages, place 1 height platforms in the middle of the center path, then place the medium storages then on the top the third storage can be accessed from the back

Hey Biffa loving the series so far! Quick tip, instead of putting medium warehouse on top of platforms (that are on top of another medium warehouse), do a 3-story medium warehouse with the second level of platforms on top of your path for the beavers, that’s would be another 8 medium warehouses
For the new water pumps, just move then next to the large storage instead of having a path , then you can have 2 of then per 3x3 platform. and then you can increase beaver production since you taking full advantage of the mega dam
I was going to suggest putting a small water tank next to each one so there's more leeway on how much water they can pump before a hauler has to come empty it out, but four more pumps would be a pretty big win too!
"Is that even possible" regarding the "infinite loop"... uhmmm yes, yes it actually is. You need to utilize a tower of small reservoirs and the large mechanical pumps to suck from one reservoir and pump into another slightly higher up. Rinse and repeat until its pumped into the top river. There is a slight loss due to the pumps and evaporation but when supplemented with a source youll be just fine and still overflow the main massive reservoir during the temperate seasons.
During a drought, can they safely build on the dry Bad Water course? If so, you could build a causeway across the Bad Water course between that new scrap source and your smelters.
28:12 You’d loose a few less trees if you replaced the corner platform with a leevee block, bad water is spilling out the side of the levy block and killing trees.
Biffa. Are you having your metal scrap go all the way through your town? Would a path direct from ruins to processing be a better bet? Cheers and enjoying so much

Im only further expanding on your point of reducing wasteful transport of resources. Logistic inefficiency is a worse waste than spending a few extra trees and metal to move buildings. What you said initially is more ideal than what he has now. Though having his production of metal and planks right next to where the resources they demand are located is most ideal, is it not?
you missed marking a single solitary tree for cutting in your satellite tree farm at the very beginning of the video! Regarding your plans for the Storinator, instead of putting blank platforms between the medium storage you built and the new level that you envisioned, you can put more medium storage, but face the 2nd level out to the central gangway area, and just build a second-story (1.5 story?) catwalk path up there to connect those, then the 3rd level can go where you were thinking (facing back to the large 5x5 platforms). Hope that makes sense. Like others are saying, I also think that going with more water storage is probably a good idea for your water production rate with the 6 pumps.
17:45 If you want the smallest footprint for aqueducts, then you can use a single platform tower with a metal platform on top (and then overhangs on top of the platform). 3x3 platform gives 1 wide fluid, 5x5 would give 3 wide fluid. Fill in the empty spots with 1 high platforms.
I love seeing another fan of tree diversity. I've seen others that just grow oaks, but if you plant all of them, you have a constant flow of logs. With only oak, you just get one big harvest per forest, so big projects can grind to a halt with monoculture.
If you click on the district center you can see what your bevers can reach (or why see why they aren't removed or building things you mark as high priority 😅). Love the series, keep it going!
2:28 I do the thing with different tree types as well, but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t matter because after a while the oak trees will end up staggered because your storage is full and you get them on demand if you wait long enough, but I do it because I am early in the game then I want constant supply immediately and then you build up the habit it also just looks kind of cool

Would love to see some large water storage tanks on top of the large warehouses, just to cap off the Storinator 9000. You could add steps up to them from the pumps so the pumpers don't have to go very far. Loving your work, can't wait for update 6 to come off experimental
For storage, put a row of platforms in the middle of the Storinator to access the first level of medium warehouse, then a third level with access from the higher platforms
Getting better with each episode ^_^ As for building priority, I've noticed that the distance to construction site plays some role with priority. The way beavers prioritise construction is in order you build something. For example, if multiple buildings are set to medium high priority, they will be built after the very high priority, but once that's done, they will start building what's on medium high priority, in order you put the construction sites down. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I've been observing the build queue, and this is how I saw priority works. Looking forward to the next episode.
May I suggest to add a slight drop in height to the BBWA (Biffas Bad Water Aqueduct) from beginning to start. So you could add water wheels on top as well and use the power of bad water tides. I also suggest to increase connection to the water sources, because the outlets are 3 and the BBWA is only one unit 🤔. Anyways, awesome series and idea 🤩.
You can reduce the amount of planks needed to make extremely tall platforms by using the new pillars/pillars w/ braces for most of the vertical height followed by a platform to top them off.
Biffa, on the platforms you made, put the water pumps on top of the medium warehouses. so you have like all 8 pumps there, its a lot closer to the district and it sits directly on top of the water source, that way you can put a dedicated hauler post there too.
22:30 I suggest putting the scrap metal flags on the other side of the road. As it is they have to go around the storage to the path as access is blocked.
Biffa you really need to start using the new Pillars it makes building large structures so much cheaper than the platforms, Plus they are really cool haha
For the water source cap, you should have just used the new overhang to cover over the water source with a 3x1. You can fully cap the water source and seal it up with that method. You can bypass the bad water dome use in favor of some levels and overhangs.
I don’t know if you’ve realised but there’s a pilar building added in update 6 for the overhang to go on If I remember right that only costs 6 logs (next to platforms in the build menu ,looks like an ‘x’ on stilts) which is better than platforms resource wise since no planks needed 😁
You could do a vertical power system. If you build aqueduct for water wheels you could put a water wheel aqueduct above that. So the water flows one way drops in to one underneath it and flows back the other way. Stack 4 or 5 of those on top of the other.
An idea i have for your new Storage Area would be: The Sky Vault. Cause it's technically in the air and its storing all your stuff, or it will later no doubt.
"Badwater" can be a valuable resource. It's the only liquid still available during a drought (by building a badwater dome over it) and it's my main source of power (40,000 hp) for a well developed population.
Build road next to scrap metal pile and scavenger flags right across so carrying length is optimally just one tile, instead of beavers needing to run around all the other flags and storage to get to work and back
Given that you have it as a single pump on the 3x3 platforms, putting a small water tank next to each one will also keep the works at the pump longer cause the thirst break they go for will be right next door
The double paths on plantable land along the sides of platforms that could have the paths on them. Also, if you plant enough oak, the diversity for various harvest time sorts itself out. Pine resin / maple is generally better in its own area anyway. Sometimes it just makes sense to pause and try different things, delete and try again until find a method that works. You have something to discover about your current plans. It's in other comments.
My suggestion on storage, Use the medium warehouses to store un-processed food, since it will be consumed by the processors. Use the large warehouses to store processed food, as it will take longer to fill up, so your medium warehouses will be constantly refreshing their inventory until the large are finally full.
You should play with the fog off and the camera lock it will allow you to zoom out as much as you want. Its in the dev tool with "shift+z+alt" to access them
You don't need to keep upping the priority of construction. The way it works is that the beavers will build things in the order you placed them. Higher priorities are only required if you want something to be built earlier than the order you built it in and lower priorities to be built later even if you placed it earlier. If you have no other constructions going on or have placed things in the order you wanted them built anyway, you can just leave the priorities.
You probably don't even need to build up the full towers for the aqueduct legs: you could just have little 1 long overhangs coming out from the center to support the sides.
You stated you intended to collect the pine resin from the trees in the beginning, yet I didn't see a tappers shack, storage for the resin, and the pine trees are set to be cut. They'll never produce resin. Additionally, you don't need to use impermeable floors on the top of the pipe. I don't believe it holds the water inside as one may suspect. Additionally, you have 3 sluce gates, and your new extensions 3 wide. Meaning the 2 outsides will spill over the second they open. Unless you specifically planned on using the center one only... but can that handle the entirety of the Badwater flow without backing up in a bottleneck??? The smaller platforms in the storanator can support large storage warehouses. You could have 7 large storage on EACH side the way things are now if your more efficient with your spacing. Put the row of 7 side by side along the entire length. Water pumps would be far more useful being supported off the face of the dam like the others as they'll be able to reach down deeper, if it ever came to that need.
He said you *can* use them to collect resin, not that he's going to right now. As far as I can see, none of his projects need resin RN so he is using. Also, storeanator, the smaller platforms would mean he can't branch off, which I think might be a future idea and I don't think he is fully doing it just for efficacy, just like the new wood area, and the smelters... I think where he can he is trying to make the build aesthetically pleasing...
Instead of platforms to boost the storage high enough you could run platforms over the middle path to make another path and build storage facing in then your medium storage’s can be a stack of three, hope this makes sense
i know im late to the party but just my 2 cents i would lust put some platforms in the water and have the 5x5 platforms on top so they are all level with eachother on top of the water instead of all at different heights. could just have one massive platfor all connected together.
15:41 If you plan on using the bad water sources for power wouldn’t that make the viaduct redundant? 🙂↕️ The bad water flows of the map via the same route you are circumventing with the viaduct.
I believe a better usage of your resources would have been to use the platforms to build the aquaducts. youd just need a slightly lower path to build it all but they would allow for a better movement of the water.
Love your content. Could I suggest unlocking and using the 4/5/6x3 and elevate the whole aqueduct? I’m also not finished the video yet so I may be speaking too soon. Also, I know, the science, so expensive!
Can you dig a 4 deap canal? Build a platform then an impervious floor and then put dirt on top that way, the water would be traveling underground, and you could plant on top?
Also I think you have enough pre-edible food, the raw stuff you have is full, what would be better is the edible food that way the cooks have more time to work and less sit around.
Biffa do you have a Teeth sharpener near the new wood producing area. That way when a Beaver breaks a tooth they have a place close by to repair their broken tooth.
Your badwater aqueduct will probably struggle to take away two sources worth of liquid. Also, impermeable floor is not necessarily the same thing as impermeable ceiling; on the other hand, a spectacular failure of that might make for good content ;-)
For the sake of efficiency, small log storage on top of the canal platforms in the log yard would suffice. Edit: you should call your storage area "Tesco on the bay" 😂😂😂
I think you're going to have trouble with the aqueduct. Your beavers wont be able to build the 'reverse' overhang platfrom because they cannot reach the platforms they're built on
You can put medium water tanks on top of the medium warehouses as your water storage is full. One on each side where the steps are going to the water pumpers, that way they only have to nip down the stairs to drop off their inventory

Shouldnt the new metal location have a direct path to the processing center of the old metal location?

Looking good Biffa! Differently some 'think big' schemes happening.
I think so too 😅
Now thats a beaver boardwalk!
33:58 instead of the platforms you could put storige facing the other way and add a pathway
Instead of platforms to boost the storage high enough you could run platforms over the middle path to make another path and build storage facing in then your medium storage’s can be a stack of three, hope this makes sense
You can use a 1x5 overhang and fit 2pumps next to each other in the air
Impermeable floors stop water from going down but not going up. So you’ll need to use more levees
You have the craziest and best ideas I've ever seen
🫡
i know im late to the party but just my 2 cents i would lust put some platforms in the water and have the 5x5 platforms on top so they are all level with eachother on top of the water instead of all at different heights. could just have one massive platfor all connected together.
15:41 If you plan on using the bad water sources for power wouldn’t that make the viaduct redundant? 🙂↕️
The bad water flows of the map via the same route you are circumventing with the viaduct.
2:25 you missed marking one tree for removal! :D
I believe a better usage of your resources would have been to use the platforms to build the aquaducts. youd just need a slightly lower path to build it all but they would allow for a better movement of the water.
Surround the floating water pumps with small water tanks.
Not that you need it, but you could take out the pathways on one side of the big platforms and put two deep water pumps on each spot.
Love your content. Could I suggest unlocking and using the 4/5/6x3 and elevate the whole aqueduct? I’m also not finished the video yet so I may be speaking too soon. Also, I know, the science, so expensive!
I just got back in for 5. Time to start with the other race
Floating Market might be an alternative name to the storinator 9000
Your badwater aqueduct will probably struggle to take away two sources worth of liquid. Also, impermeable floor is not necessarily the same thing as impermeable ceiling; on the other hand, a spectacular failure of that might make for good content ;-)
Once I close it in it'll be fine ... I hope!
For the sake of efficiency, small log storage on top of the canal platforms in the log yard would suffice.
Edit: you should call your storage area "Tesco on the bay" 😂😂😂
3min in an biffa missed a tree to cut.......NOOOOOOOOO .....also flip the pumps
I believe you only need platforms At the base of the over hangs and you can put levees on over hangs also
I think you're going to have trouble with the aqueduct. Your beavers wont be able to build the 'reverse' overhang platfrom because they cannot reach the platforms they're built on
@biffa, you could use one of the giant platforms to put large water tank
Don’t forget the large water storage
1:37 very strong shapes
