Unfortunately, it came too late to make a huge difference. I think the next time it was in combat was during the Korean war.
They allow it each year , largely the white marks fade in a few months , in the states they would allow only rubber padded tracks , more a case of a sharpe turn is made on asphalt in summer heat being torn up
