James is adorable!! Reminds me of my son at that age. Tell him if cooking is his passion keep it up!!! My son went to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park,NY and is now a chef at a fine dining restaurant!! If you get a chance take James there for lunch and they will give him a tour!!!
Looks fab. My recipe calls for a small amount of dry mustard. It really brings out the cheese flavour. Also I put a bit of parmesan over with light bread crumbs and drizzle with butter.
To slice that many potatoes you need a mandoline slicer ..it would be so fast!! You need to be very careful, but it will save so much time! The slices would be even, and the thickness would be the same for all of them.
That was very sweet of James peeling your potatoes 🥔 but he really needed a potato peeler 👍🏼much earlier and faster to peel potatoes 🥔👍🏼the way he’s doing it it’s going to take him forever to finish that 10 pound bag of potatoes 🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔 😱
Everything looks amazing .I just love watching all your videos they make me smile 😊 wonderful vlog with mom & james working together in the kitchen! ♥♥
Hi Alicia😊 Both side dishes look delicious. We always have scallop potatoes for Christmas dinner. I think it goes well with ham. It was great to see you and James working together in the kitchen. ❤
She makes it completely different than I do I use pineapple fruit cocktail maraschino cherries Mandarin oranges coconut marshmallows add Cool Whip mix it all together.
I just watched this. I never knew how to make homemade Mac and cheese. That looks easy. Everything does look delicious. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your meal. 🧡💜🧡💜🧡😊😊
The fruit salad looks amazing! I love old family recipes ❤ hats off to James for the peeling! My son also does kitchen prep for me 👱♀️😁 Hope everyone enjoyed!
It takes another pan, but if you heat your milk in your big pan and make you roux in a little pan adding it to your bug pan it will be quicker. Not as much stirring, less likely to burn. I enjoyed watching this.
I thought that I was the only one who drank coffee with soda its so good aye (: i can with diet soda ... ❤ I want to make this meal .. i wonder if I can .. 😊
All I can really say is Josh the dad challenger podcast who I have watched every video about you he has made is right about everything he points out in his videos about you. Sorry but I honestly couldn’t disagree with anything g he said about you especially about using your kids to make money on utube.
I disagree with most of what he says. The money is in turn spent on the family so if it’s made in an honest way what does it matter. If the money was made for themselves alone but it is giving these children a loving wonderful life so I’m all for it.
This is how my mama made mac and cheese. It was always so good! She passed in 2017 and i miss her so much at this time of year. Ill have to try to make mac and cheese this way on Christmas. Thank you for sharing 🙏
I've never seen ambrosia salad made that way! Very interesting and looks good. I use fruit cocktail and mandarin oranges with no juices, cool whip, marshmallows, and shredded Coconut! Also, you could make it without pinrapple by just buying cand of pears and Peaches and adding grapes and then the usual way you make it!
Next time try adding about 1/2 - 1 tablespoon of ground mustard in the Mac and cheese. It rounds out the flavor and it’s just amplified the Mac-n-cheese.
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Tuesday afternoon and evening with the kids and can't wait to see vlogmas day 5 and also can't wait to see those holiday side dishes.
My family calls the ambrosia salad, Frog eye Salad. I'm horribly allergic to pineapple too so I make it with extra mandarin oranges and it doesn't seem to bother anyone. Its worth a try for Josh to be able to have it.
In addition to the ground mustard, i add some Worcertershire sauce and a few dashes to Texas Pete. It makes it even more savory - but don't add enough to taste the heat of Texas Pete.
Its good to see James his soo funny just the look how much potoes his pleeing I can see he might be in the future beeing a cook What your make looks good My mom use to make for me my sister and dad looks sooo good i miss makeing it its lot work but with lots loveLove your guys show
I've never heard of the way you make it kind of my ambrosia the base is Cool whip and can you add 8 oz Cool whip 1 cup of sour cream, can you add pineapple call Mandrain oranges and one can of fruit cocktail, ones are maraschino cherries drained, 1cup of coconut and a small big of different color Marshmallow. Blend and well, refrigerate for 5 hours. I don't cook anything
I didn’t know ambrosia salad had pasta in it .. I’ve only put whipped cream, fruit , pudding mix marshmallows and coconut… Never any pasta .. it different I guess lol
Turkey, ham, stuffing, peas, honey roasted carrots and parsnips, Brussel sprouts with bacon, cauliflower cheese, mash potato, garlic and rosemary roast potatoes and lots of gravy. Cranberry sauce on the side too
I can only hope people would be more like James. He has such a kind heart. ❤
Love seeing James in the kitchen please have him cook more he is such a nice young man!!!!
James is such a joy to watch, He is such a nice guy
James is a natural in the kitchen! Cant wait to see where he goes as a chef.
So nice to see James helping you make a good team together. He is very helpful. I bet he make a good cook
Bless your heart James the knife made me a little nervous, a potato peeler would be much faster and easier ❤️
James has the most beautiful soul he’s such a good person I bet you’re so proud of him!
It's good to see James in the video. He's so sweet. Food looks good. Happy holidays. God bless this family
Looks fab. My recipe calls for a small amount of dry mustard. It really brings out the cheese flavour. Also I put a bit of parmesan over with light bread crumbs and drizzle with butter.
Everything looks so good 😋
James will make a fine chef😊
To slice that many potatoes you need a mandoline slicer ..it would be so fast!! You need to be very careful, but it will save so much time! The slices would be even, and the thickness would be the same for all of them.
Scalloped potatoes are my favorite anytime of the year and I love making them! That was fun watching and hearing the two of you cooking together!!
Taking a Nice walk is very therapeutic- I agree James!
Awe James seems like such a sweet person!
It’s nice to see you using the AllClad pans Josh brought. Good pans really help with cooking
I lovethe fact that yourson james is working with you.😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
That was very sweet of James peeling your potatoes 🥔 but he really needed a potato peeler 👍🏼much earlier and faster to peel potatoes 🥔👍🏼the way he’s doing it it’s going to take him forever to finish that 10 pound bag of potatoes 🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔 😱
He takes culinary classes. I wonder if they teach them to use the knife before the "easy" tools.
I use a peeling knife 🤷🏼♀️ I like it way better than a vegetable peeler and wayyyyy faster! Js
You all so negative talking. He might be slow but doing it.Peeller or knife is fine.Accentuate the positive!
James is sweet to do that ,it's a lot of help 😊
Everything looks amazing .I just love watching all your videos they make me smile 😊
wonderful vlog with mom & james working together in the kitchen! ♥♥
James is so sweet you need a potato peeler 😋it would go much faster ‼️
Hi Alicia😊 Both side dishes look delicious. We always have scallop potatoes for Christmas dinner. I think it goes well with ham. It was great to see you and James working together in the kitchen. ❤
You cook your rue way to long about a minute to just cook the flour then add your milk no more burn. And add some spices
happy to see you in the kitchen james. your doing great :)
Adding mini marshmellows to the ambrosia salad is really good too!
Sounds 🔥
She makes it completely different than I do I use pineapple fruit cocktail maraschino cherries Mandarin oranges coconut marshmallows add Cool Whip mix it all together.
Love your videos. Love James. He is wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
Nothing better then homemade Mac and cheese yummy and everything else is a bonus lol looks delicious happy holidays 🎅 love from Ohio
I like seeing James help in the kitchen and talking about things he remembers
I just watched this. I never knew how to make homemade Mac and cheese. That looks easy. Everything does look delicious. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your meal. 🧡💜🧡💜🧡😊😊
The fruit salad looks amazing! I love old family recipes ❤ hats off to James for the peeling! My son also does kitchen prep for me 👱♀️😁 Hope everyone enjoyed!
Fresh shredded blocks of cheese makes a HUGE difference in a great way! Also using a few types of cheese and cream cheese too.
James is such a sweetheart ❤
Perfect sides..they look delicious 😊
James is so awesome…I love how he has so much compassion for everyone including the animals…you got some great kids
Just love it when the kids are involved❤️ watch you so much it’s like we’re getting to know them kids!❤️
🧡🧡🧡
It takes another pan, but if you heat your milk in your big pan and make you roux in a little pan adding it to your bug pan it will be quicker. Not as much stirring, less likely to burn. I enjoyed watching this.
Get a potato peeler and a mandolin for slicing the potatoes, so quick and easy.
You must have a potato peeler for James to use. Poor kid...
James is a sweet heart
Yum! I loved seeing you and James in the kitchen together, hes a sweetheart.
I thought that I was the only one who drank coffee with soda its so good aye (: i can with diet soda ... ❤ I want to make this meal .. i wonder if I can .. 😊
I missed seeing you and Nana cooking on Thanksgiving.
Hi Alicia 👋 Thanks for sharing these recipes 🎉 BTW did you ever get connected to the city sewer line yet? I hope it's better if you did ❤
Where did you get the strainer?! I need that in my life
I have that same one - it’s from Ikea
I would suggest a whisk with a longer handle, a veggie peeler and a mandolin it would make your life easier 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
All I can really say is Josh the dad challenger podcast who I have watched every video about you he has made is right about everything he points out in his videos about you. Sorry but I honestly couldn’t disagree with anything g he said about you especially about using your kids to make money on utube.

Make a ball out of tinfoil and scrub emd of pot if burnt always works for me
This is how my mama made mac and cheese. It was always so good! She passed in 2017 and i miss her so much at this time of year. Ill have to try to make mac and cheese this way on Christmas. Thank you for sharing 🙏
I'm looking forward to this I love watching the cooking vlogs ❤❤❤
I love watching your videos but I'm curious, how come you have locks on your fridge?
Never seen pasta in ambrosia salad 🤔
So the sauce for the potatoes is quite similar to your Mac and cheese!?
Happy holidays to you and Family. I love when watching you guys on UA-cam.
🧡🧡🧡
Yes thank you my kids love mac and cheese....i found it ...
My mom used to make something called scalloped potatoes that I didn’t like…..but she didn’t put cheese in them!
Yours sound way better 😌
I've never seen ambrosia salad made that way! Very interesting and looks good. I use fruit cocktail and mandarin oranges with no juices, cool whip, marshmallows, and shredded Coconut!
Also, you could make it without pinrapple by just buying cand of pears and Peaches and adding grapes and then the usual way you make it!
If you lay your wood spoon or spoodle over the top of the pan on stove it will never boil over I just read that the other day
Just curious why you put pasta in your Ambrosia Salad?I've never heard of that!?
Next time try adding about 1/2 - 1 tablespoon of ground mustard in the Mac and cheese. It rounds out the flavor and it’s just amplified the Mac-n-cheese.
How is this Vlogmas day 5 when you filmed this 2 weeks ago for thanksgiving?
Did she film this two weeks ago because she said to Harley that the next day is thanksgiving hmmm I like her though
@@karenlammon4605 Im not sure. Im confused i thought vlogmas was what you were doing for that day
looks like mac and cheese soup, Def needed more pasta!!
Everything looks sooo yummy 😋
At my house we eat stewed tomatoes with our mac and cheese.
I'm impressed by his knife skill, I'm a grown woman and I still need a potato peeler
Turn your heat under the roux down, simmering on low is good
And the potatoes, eek! Make it easier, get a mandoline slicer
💯
Invest in a speed peeler for veggies, so fast and accurate. I have 12 people I cook for everyday, but I pass out the duties....good luck
Are the potatoes raw when you slice them or do you par boil them?
Everything looks amazing .I just love watching all your videos they make me smile 😊
🧡🧡🧡
Great job
The best thing about this vlog is watching James and listening to him bless you James xx
Everyone adores James 😊
I love the apron.
Don’t you love it when the kids are home and you’re trying to cook and vlog !😂😂😂
Meals look delicious 😋 ❤😊❤
Next time when you make scalloped potatoes dont peel them. Just make sure you wash them good and just cut. So easy 🙂
Much better flavor with the skins left on.
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Tuesday afternoon and evening with the kids and can't wait to see vlogmas day 5 and also can't wait to see those holiday side dishes.
I put breadcrumbs on top of mine and macaroni cheese, and I put an sucker real thick egg
Smells delicious!
Love your videos
Lower your heat when making your roux, it takes much longer but never scortches
My family calls the ambrosia salad, Frog eye Salad. I'm horribly allergic to pineapple too so I make it with extra mandarin oranges and it doesn't seem to bother anyone. Its worth a try for Josh to be able to have it.
Well now I know how you can take those hot muffins out with bare hands😅
Yum 😋 💚❤💚
In addition to the ground mustard, i add some Worcertershire sauce and a few dashes to Texas Pete. It makes it even more savory - but don't add enough to taste the heat of Texas Pete.
I also fry red onion in butter and mix with the peas 🤣

Yum how fun!!!🌼🧡🌼 Happy Tuesday BEAUTIFUL!!!🌼🧡🌼🧡🌼🧡🌼🧡🌼🧡🌼🧡🌼
Thanks! You too!!
Cheese that you shred yourself would taste better
When feeding so many people you have to go for
So many preservatives in the already shredded cheeses. I always shred.
@@plusimagestv there are electric cheese graters. I’m just saying it would taste so much better.
if you dont want past to stick put a little cooking oil in it x
Oops my mom never made that i did i thought u said u makeing ham cheese potoes sorry for not hearing u right lol😅😅 love your cooking show love it
I didn’t know ambrosia salad had pasta in it .. I’ve only put whipped cream, fruit , pudding mix marshmallows and coconut… Never any pasta .. it different I guess lol
39:52 That is not soup that is stew ...
I have Covid, so your videos are helping me and keeping me company. This is my first time getting it. Has anyone else had Covid yet?
I did 3 years ago. I pray you get better!!
I had Covid 3 times and hope you start healing quickly and feel better real soon!!
Thank you. I appreciate both of your kind words and well wishes. Hope everyone had a good day and has a good week. 😊👍🏻
So strange seeing the difference in the food you guys do for Christmas compared to the uk
Interesting, 😁 what foods do y’all have?
Turkey, ham, stuffing, peas, honey roasted carrots and parsnips, Brussel sprouts with bacon, cauliflower cheese, mash potato, garlic and rosemary roast potatoes and lots of gravy. Cranberry sauce on the side too
vegetable peelers are $2 james..
You need to find a long handled whisk so you wont burn yourself
Saves time indeed! Good job 👍
the Scalloped Potatos recipe is not tagged below .. didn’t know if you knew that
James is the best!
