      LOL! I often wondered if they has bought a job lot of the pink flagstones and just hauled some out every winter to replace the damaged ones! We will see how the new surface copes with the frequent bashing from the pebbles lifted by the sea! Sarah :)

    What a wonderful and interesting tour of Penzance Promenade and sea front all beautifully clean, your lunch looked delicious, the little encounter with your sweet furry friend and what looked like an English Pointer brought back happy memories of our beautiful Jodie, who also loved the seaside, you almost traced our tracks of many, many years ago, when we visited Penzance and St. Michael’s Mount, it looked a bit different then! I love your finished art work and sea glass stack, you are very talented Sarah, thanks one again to you both for some lovely memories rekindled 👌🤗👋

    We loved watching you in this walk so much we went and done it. I have Marfan syndrome which effects my mobility which leads me to look for flat walks. This was perfect, we parked at Marazion first and walked along the beach with the dogs, looking for sea glass at Longrock. We found a little bit. We then continued to walk along, such a great flat walk with great seats up on the top. We then continued to The Honey Pot in Penzance, which is a great little cafe with super potato wedges! We walked down to the bus stop and got the bus back. A really lovely walk which I felt really comfortable doing. Thank you ❤

    Hello! I've just come out of hospital having contracted Covid. One of the first things that popped up in my UA-cam recommendations was your channel. I've watched probably a dozen of your walks over the last few days and enjoyed the peaceful scenery of Cornwall with you both.
    Just walking around the house has been difficult for me but these past few days, but as the days pass I'm getting stronger. Your video's have spurred me on to getting better so I can get out and do a good long walk of my own.
    Kind regards

    I missed you two by just over 2 weeks ~ I was down there in Penzance last week doing an almost identical walk!, but the skies opened up twice, and it was like having buckets of water thrown at me! The day after I arrived 45 rugby players turned up at the hotel ~ opposition to the Cornish Pirates, but sadly all housed at the other end of the hotel 😉. You must have developed special radar for detecting sea-glass Sarah, as I could only find 3 pieces of clear glass!

    • @CornishWalkingTrails
      @CornishWalkingTrails  3 роки тому +1

      The other end of the hotel - what a pity! And yes, sea glass is tricky to find, especially on Marazion - Long Rock as the beach is quite pebbly!! Sarah :)

    Hi Sarah and Andrew. You brought back memories of walking to marazion from Penzance. Path was not so goodit was sandy and stoney but I suffered as it was a baking hot day with a sea breeze but only on my feet. I would rather do the walk early or late in the summer and autumn and winter months. Never in July and August again. I ended getting sunburnt heat Rasheed feet so you can see why. But they walk is well worth doing and the views are specular across the bay of the mount. I live Cornwall in all heather's as I've been Thier when it snowed the night before and loved seein the countryside traveling down and wave breaking out to sea. Marie

    The promenade is beautiful! I can't remember it looked like this 2 years ago 😃 And the lunch looks really yummy - wow 😃 And an absolutely beautiful new piece of art! 😃 Greetings from Makarska, Croatia in shoulder season. Getting home tomorrow after a good week with a few walks, swimming in the sea, a lot of sun, some rain, a thunderstorm, an earthquake and a very seasick excursion which had to be shortened due to high waves and safety 😞Good and interesting holiday 😃 But Penzance and Marazion are definitely among the top 5 on my bucket list at the moment.

      Just to put the facts out there and our side of things. The guidance when filming was that mask wearing was not obligatory. If you look closely I was wearing a mask when getting on the bus and paying for our tickets. For the majority of the bus ride we wore our masks. The windows were open and there were about 8 people on the bus. It was a 50:50 split between those wearing masks and those not wearing masks. We simply removed the masks to speak to camera for about 10 seconds. In addition we have both tested negative in the morning and we presented minimal risk to our fellow passengers. If anything we were exposing our selves to risk for about 10 seconds. We take COVID seriously, however we get criticised for wearing masks and criticised for not wearing them. As long as we are complying with current guidance and keeping ourselves and those around us safe, that's all we can do. Sarah
