Steps to Use ArcGIS for Excel Install the ArcGIS Add-In: Open Excel. Click on the File menu in the top left corner. Select Get Add-ins. Search for ArcGIS and add it to Excel. Login to ArcGIS Online: Once added, click on the ArcGIS banner in Excel. Click on Show Map. Log in with your ArcGIS Online account. Prepare Your Data: Ensure you have spatial data ready in your Excel sheet. The add-in will prompt you to specify which columns contain spatial information. Create and Explore the Map: Select your spatial columns to display the data on the map. Use basic functionalities to explore the map. Filter and Analyze Data: For example, to filter by crime type: Click on the column containing crime types. Use the filter function to select specific crime types (e.g., auto theft). The map will update to show only the filtered data. Perform additional analysis as needed.
