- I thought I was pretty clever when I came up with that first line.
And, although maybe it wasn’t as clever as I thought it was, that’s what people always got hooked on. That and the opening guitar chunking. Sing it with with me - Emotion!!!!!!!!
This was always a staple in our sets once we released it on Life in General.
It’s one of those songs that we’ll always play from time to time. I love this song!!

I remember learning this song in high school trying to get better at guitar and base. Always loved the way you guys write songs. The fact this still holds up 20ish years later, just killer.

I got to say I look at Mike’s bass a little differently now knowing that it’s $2600 to get one
If you're on a budget, you can get a Sterling by Music Man SUB Ray4 Bass in mint green with a maple neck for around $300 & upgrade the pickup to a Seymour Duncan. That's what I did, along with a couple of other cosmetic swaps (pearloid pickguard, cream knobs).
