off topic but you have kind of inspired me to learn japanese, i realized how many untranslated vns/games that may never get a translation and want to experience them (paradise lost, smt nine), i got a kanji textbook and am looking to get a hiragana and katakana textbook so am hoping to start soon :)

I know that Mercurius is speaking in latin, but what's with the text whenever he uses one of his spells? I've never seen characters like these.
Mercurius is a being of the old world. So his language is incomprehensible for the characters of Dies Irae.
As such it is not Latin, it is the language of era zero. (I don't remember well).
