If you consider the sources I am tired of government telling us what to do. For over a decade in America we were told climate change was bad that co2 was bad truth is plants which are our source of food for not only us but the animals we eat and plants including mainly green pigments convert carbon dioxide into oxygen by the way of photosynthesis which a scientist named Ian Isanhous born in 1730 and died in 1799. He claimed that with sunlight and water plants were able to convert co2 into oxygen but because of Obama's climate change models didn't fit that scenario photosynthesis was forgotten by our scientists. Why do you think they were called oxygen bearing plants .Carbon dioxide only becomes lethal according to a google search at about 110000 parts per million. Since confined spaces are already limited on oxygen and we use oxygen and breath out carbon dioxide in human respiration why confined spaces are so dangerous. Many have been talking about going to Mars the planet but looking up what NASA satellite have come up with no human could survive there. The atmosphere is 94.6 percent co2 and average temperature is about a negative 83 degrees Fahrenheit we would die of hypothermia in minutes.
@@gwenlair5198I agree, How "science" could "forget" about photosynthesis, a principle I learned in grade school? Perhaps Obama and globalists counted on general ignorance of that fact ..

What a refreshing breath of fresh air this doctor is! Haven’t been to a doctor in years, but if I was living where she practices, I would be calling for an appointment! Keep up the great work and vibrant personality! 👍❤️
I don't usually like going to any doctor mainly because I believe in how God created our bodies to work, am not saying we shouldn't. Dr Sam is one of a kind, keep it up doc and thank you so much for all the info you pass on , may God bless you :)
I had bad sciatica and back pains early last year. Drs (tried 3) had me on strong pain killers (side effects) for months, talk of thyroid meds, maybe surgery. Tried chiropractor. My husband, a retired engineer, got hold of my many blood tests and xray report. Spent a day on pubmed and then told me I needed some Vitamin D3, K2, magnesium and some turmeric for the inflammation. 3 weeks later I was well and improved every day since. Oddly, didn't get a cold last year. First time ever.
On advice I started taking zinc and vitamin D late last autumn. I have had a heavy cold EVERY year in Jan/Feb for at least 12 years ! This year I had no cold symptoms whatsoever. I will continue to take the correct amounts in future without fail. Thanks Dr. Sam.
Your personality so pleasing, and your videos are inspirational, I really appreciate all your efforts Dr.Sam :) God bless you, keep smiling :) by the way you are a gorgeous woman :)
What makes listening to your presentations so enjoyable is the form in which you package them, viz. (1) You speak in complete sentences (subject, verb, object) and never use improper grammatical constructions, and (2) You do not use that vexing, grating, ignorant, non-word, animal grunt "UHhhhhh" in your speech. You turn out nice work, Doc... stay with it ! Pennsylvania in the USA likes Doc Sam☺
What I like about your videos, is your prefrotnal cortex utilization. You are not attention seeking, nor over dramatic, which is probably the more laid back New Zealand influence, and you are very thorough and informative. Sometimes in nutrition, in the US, people will only talk about one thing and they will continually plaster it over and over again. You do an excellent job in covering the most current research and it is very much appreciated. It is important for people that get less sunlight, to take supplementation, and vitamin D helps to metabolize cholesterol as well, which is important. You definitely have a long term patron from me and the most important topic for us to learn is nutrition. Thanks for all your efforts.
Relatively new viewer. What I like/love MOST about your videos is the genuine, warm sense of humanity they convey, and the rare feeling [nowadays] of "Crikey ... I've stumbled upon someone with real integrity! ..... Thank you, God!"
Dr. Sam Bailey me and my co-workers, medics and doctors think you ate not only cool to listen to with your accent and brains bit your beauty and well!! ❤🤗
My son is a doctor who deals with hormone issues with his patients and vitamin D is his BIGGEST problem and we live in southern NM. His next biggest issue with his elderly patients is low DHEA hormone levels. Look it up, but taking 25mg a day makes a huge difference in how you feel.
Thanks for the information. It's a beautiful sunny day so I am going out and catching that sunshine. You are blessed with THE most Kiwi accent I have ever heard! Love it!
Medical advice delivered in the most charming way. Not since my late wife, also a Dr, (she died from MND), patiently advised me, have I felt the honesty and caring so eloquently put. Thank you Dr Sam.
You mentioned in one of your videos that you take zinc regularly. If you haven't already done a video on zinc (I couldn't find one when I looked earlier), I would love to hear your thoughts on what it does and why we might take a supplement.
Hi Dr. Sam, Thank you for your very informative videos. They are really helpful and I enjoy them very much. I have one quick question, have you done a video that lists all of the blood tests (for general health and vitamins) one would should consider completing before their annual physicals with their doctors? Thank you!
I really love your joy in talking about Vitamin D. It’s funny too with clips in between. I may share with school kids in Texas, USA. Thank you so much!
I live in the UK and it's not known for it's sunshine, to put it mildly... I also suffer from psoriasis (a skin disorder). During our autumn and winter months I become lax and disenfranchised and my motivation falls to a very low level. A number of years ago I discovered a remedy for this. I went to South East Asia, to a tropical country which has almost all year round sunshine. Let me tell you a little bit about what happens when I step into my chosen country. I feel instantly better... I'm covered from my feet to my neck with very bad psoriatic plaques... I discovered that exposing my skin to sunlight cleared up my psoriasis as though I'd never had the condition but let me tell you an even more amazing discovery than that. I once went to my tropical retreat and within a couple of days of getting there, ventured to a remote beach... Making sure there was no one around I took off my tee shirt only, but kept my jeans, socks and shoes on... to my astonishment, the psoriasis on my lower body (that remained covered in heavy clothing) ALSO cleared up within a week ! even though I'd never had sun exposure to that area. It proves that vitamin D produced by your own body from sunlight is not localized, but will travel all around your body. I enjoy watching Dr. Sam's videos and learn something new every time I watch one. Thanks for that Sam, if you're reading this..... keep up the good work.
Excellent information and presented in a very credible way (ie: no affiliate links to places where you can buy supplements in the description). At last, some ethics on UA-cam!
If you think it is unethical to get paid it's why you are poor. If people create value and are not paid for it then starvation and massive poverty are the only results possible.
Enjoyed the video. Factual and well presented. I'm a physician in Canada and have been recommending VitD for decades. Makes a huge difference in preventive medicine. Look into Vitamin C also....a lot of information on this. (My background before medicine was genetics....need for VitC is due to a genetic defect in humans....and only 4 other species...all other species make it in liver and it is up regulated in disease states. It's as important as VitC.) Keep up your good work. Cheers.
I live in Scotland so we don't get that much sun, plenty cloud and rain though but recently I have started taking a supplement Vit D 4000iu,plus Vit K2 100ug, I am aged 78, I believe it's advisable to Vit K at the same time something to do with the Calcium levels.🤔
While having hormone therapy for stage 3 prostate cancer I began to always feel tired and developed deficiencies in vitamins D and B12. I was prescribed a daily dose of 1000UI of colecalciferol. I have a vitamin B12 injection every 12 weeks.
My son's dog consumed an entire package of 13 rodent killer tabs. We found out from the vet that the new style of rodenticide is not based on arsenic as we thought, but of concentrated Vitamin D. It has the effect of drawing Ca and Potassium from the bones and clogging the liver. The dog finally got straightened out but only after a long series of treatments and many $$'s. At the same time, I was taking Vit D supplements, suggested by my doctor. The dog's condition prompted me to look up Vit D overdose symptoms in humans and one is unexplained itching, which I had. I stopped the Vit D and the symptoms decreased by a lot. I have been since tested and have normal Vit D readings. So, I am not condemning taking Vit D supplements, but it has to be taken with caution.
This is the first time I have watched this video and it is excellent. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I live in Canada and lately due to Covid 19 scare, there is a push to take Vitamin D and Zinc. Now I understand a bit about Vitamin D3. Dr. Sam, I would be very thankful if your could do a video like this for Zinc. Thank you.
i'm from the UK and i can vouch for the complete lack of sun for what sometimes feels like months! I have started increasing my vitamin D intake having found out about its important to health.
Great video. I think a strong case can be made for everyone taking Vitamin D daily regardless of the season. Dr. JoAnn Manson recommends this. There has been a lot of compelling evidence about Vitamin D helping out with Covid-19 as well. My doctor recommended that I take 125mcg \ 5000 IU of D3 daily since I am deficient. How about a video about D3 and Covid-19? Keep up the vids as I just luv um!!!
I've had about 6 skin cancers cut out so I'd like to know more about how I can balance how much sunlight is safe for me! And I find the NZ sun burns me much faster than the Australian sun (well I am aware its the same sun but you know what I mean).
Dr. Sam Bailey - I am so impressed with your UA-cam page; so informative and congenial and able to deliver information in a very calm and pleasing manner - I am a new subscriber from the US!! So refreshing how you handle your topics - thank you!!
Since most vitamin D capsules are sold in international unit (I.U.) doses, it would be helpful if you included the daily dose recommendations in that form, as well as the microgram unit of measurement. Assuming a broad interest in this video, thousands of viewers will have to find a microgram to I.U. converter, to find out how much D3 to take.
I was diagnosed with low vitamin D and given booster doses and told after completed to take a supplement but not told how high this supplement should be. I come from often cloudy Wales in Britain but tan easily. What you said confirmed my own research and I shall be taking 50 micrograms daily from October through to the end of April. Thank you.
Dr. Sam that was a great explanation of Vitamin D use and causes. I'm always outdoors (my battery charger) and do take a supplement. A thank you for your videos. Anyone with a sunshine deficiency has got to watch your videos because your smile is pure sunshine. Keep smiling it costs nothing but gives much!
Hello Dr. Sam, Thank you very much for making all of your very informative videos. I love your channel because of the straight facts concerning health maintenance . I agree with your opinion concerning the covid video, its just plain common sense. Please continue making your videos as I'm learning new health facts with each one. You are a ray of sunshine in the health community. Many thanks, Fred, Hamilton Ontario Canada .
I was low in Vitamin D so a practicioner advised me to take Vitamin D supplements. The synthetic Vit. D from oil of sheep wool gave met toxic reactions. So i deicded to take from oily fishes whole food sources.
At one time a few years ago when I attended my wife's visit to her osteoporosis clinic because of my age the Dr suggested I increase from 1000 IU to 2000 IU year round even though I do spend a lot of time outdoors reading and getting lots of "rays" so both of us now take 2K IU year round. One pill in the AM and one at supper time. We do take a variety of other things too. We just have to recognize that at our ages, things don't function perhaps as we might like so just do what we can to live as well as we can on the downside of the curve. Yup, we are definitely flattening the curve.
Lovely presentation. As a teacher indoors l suspected l was D3 deficient and had my levels tested and was below 20 ngmol. After that l took supplements and have done for ten years. I too suggested to parents that they have the D3 levels of their darker skinned listless chikdren tested. Inevitably they were, as were light skinned kids to. The slip slop slap campaign also ensures kids during summer don't get enough D3 in the summer months. Studies have shown that kids in the US come back from summer camp because of the sunscreen, hat and long sleeves campaign. Many dermatolgists are vitamin D3 deficient it turns out, being the champions of the slip slop slap campaign. During covid l am on 3000 iu's daily.
I have never met Dr. Bailey. I have however listened to several of her videos. So far I have not heard anything that I would remotely question so she has my 100% endorsement. Asst. Prof. David Earl-Graef MD ABIM ABNM FACP ( retired ) Keep up the good work Sam.
Dr Sam. I started watching your very informative videos and immediately subscribed. Your format is excellent... presenting questions and then answering. Very informative, great topics, wonderful accent... I'm hooked. Your pleasant personality absorbs me into your topic which you cover with every detail. Please do a segment on mens issue with prostate and perhaps cover both invasive and non invasive treatments. I've heard of Resum and Eurolift but would love your perspective on this issue. Thank you!
Thanks Robert for the suggestion...I'm always interested to learn and hope to cover topics that are useful for people. Are you interested in benign prostatic hypertrophy in particular?
@@DrSamBailey Yes. At 59 this has started to be an issue, and although I am on meds to help flow I'm wondering about what the future might be, and various treatments.
I said this on another of your episode earlier today. My name is Victoria and Im a retired RN in the US. My daughter Samantha (just dx with Stage 1 Colon.Cancef) is am Epidemiologist, also lives in the US. Unfortunately, we live across the country someone another (she in Florida, myself in Ne Mexico). Just wish I had moved to New Zealand when I considered it in the 1980's!!😅❤🎉
I’m in the UK and have just started vitamin ABCD supliments, My doctor is useless so I usually look after myself watching UA-cam health footage and google for correct doses and foods to eat,I have severe COPD grade 4 they gave me 31/2 years to live back in 2010/2011 my specialist said last June that he thought I would have died before then and said what ever it is your doing keep doing it and gave me a high five I was due to see him again this June but due to covid it’s been cancelled, I’d also like to say I think you are extremely attractive God bless you 🇬🇧✌️
Hi Dr Bailey, I keep seeing info that Vit D should be accompanied with Vit k2 due to the fact that it helps the calcium be directed into the bones and teeth instead of the arteries. What’s your thoughts on this? I was diagnosed with low Vit D but am pensive on the subject. Thanks in advance 🌺🇨🇦
There are many videos by other doctors who teach on vitamin K. My personal thoughts are that it is important and something like Natto consumed weekly seems sufficient to help. My thought is taking it close to bedtime would be best because the regeneration of bone occurs when we sleep.
My Doctor just advised me to begin taking Vitamin D. Your vlog really helped! I live in Florida but have your coloring so I have to be very careful in the sun.
Daughter was diagnosed with T1 diabetes (12yrs old), found to be chronically low, was given oral dose on leaving. Hospital 150k IU. We now regularly take high doses, if we’re feeling getting flu symptoms, we’ll take 40k IU 2x a day for 2-3 days, we don’t get sick after this, also take Vit c and garlic. Probably would be very helpful with any sars-cov2 type illnesses
I find it fascinating that "every cell" in our body needs D, but only requires a supplemental of less than a milligram a day, by a full order of magnitude, assuming you are deficient.
Great video but people will be left confused as it's also measured in IU or ug in some countries. Would be interesting to know how long should one be exposing their skin to sunlight on a daily bases according to skin tone. Apparently farmers in India are some of the healthiest people around because they get exposed constantly to sunlight
Hi Dr Sam, I have recently been reading about the benifit of berberine. I am at the moment taking metformin for what I call very borderline diabetes. I was wondering if there would be any benifit or down side to taking berberine along side the metformin. Many thanks, love your channel, very informative. All the best, Barry.
Apologize for all the comments as I know you have a lot of guest mail to read through, but think it's great you're considering a video on skin care. Don't know that enough of us give it the care it deserves considering it's the largest body organ. If you do present a video on this topic and you have time, can you consider addressing preventative maintenance and self skin checks? Always learn a lot from you and appreciate your investment in these health tutorials. Also looking adorable in the red sweater. . . you always look adorable, but the red accentuated your hair color and is a perfect contrast to your soft skin tone. Not sure how you do it, but coupled with your presentation and delivery, your videos are works of art!
we had to adapt as we moved north: the same pigment that protects from UV hinders vitamin D production - women with low vitamin D have a poorly formed pelvis and are less successful in child-bearing: this (over time) selects for whiter skin as you move north (better vitamin D production = better calcium absorption, more successful birth rate). other coping mechanisms: eating fish, red meat, mushrooms growing (or dried) in sunlight... nowadays we supplement dairy, but if you're a vegan and don't eat dairy, meat or fish...
My level was at 8 ng/mL a couple years ago. Interestingly, after an infarction 3 years before that test, my cardiologist never did that test, nor recommended taking vitamin D. Now on 5,000 iu / day.
Love your videos, they’re very informative!!! Love the breakdown on the various vitamins your body needs, and the the reaction to less or more needed in the body. Also, please cover more female hormone issues.

I like this because you mentioned my similar situation when my physician placed me on a Vitamin D3 daily regimen when I turned 70... 10 years ago. Thanks so much.
Thank you. As a Norwegian indoor nerd this is something i need to know more about. In the summer it is not a topic, but i am pretty sure i will benefit from it in the winter. :) Keep up the good work. :)
The information I’ve read about taking D3 is it should be taken with Magnesium to be able to activate it properly. I have a number of friends taking 10,000 international units a day I myself try to take 4000 a day splitting that in half but I’m thinking of upping it. I live in Cleveland Ohio and it’s been a long hellish winter
Been tired my whole life. Body aches and pains. Felt like I was beat up and rolled down a hill. I felt sore tired and lazy! I started Vit d prescription 1 time a week about 2 weeks ago and I completely feel like a different person living a different life! What a refreshing breath of fresh air this doctor is! Haven’t been to a doctor in years, but if I was living where she practices, I would be calling for an appointment! Keep up the great work and vibrant personality! 👍❤️
Thank you Daniel, that's very kind of you :)
I don't usually like going to any doctor mainly because I believe in how God created our bodies to work, am not saying we shouldn't. Dr Sam is one of a kind, keep it up doc and thank you so much for all the info you pass on , may God bless you :)
Your smile is contagious and will go along way toward healing anyone in a depressing mood thanks for your informative videos
She is definitely cute.
wonder woman
she looks a bit like Seven of Nine.
You got a heart for that Michael. You must be happy.
How long before you stop having the dizziness
On advice I started taking zinc and vitamin D late last autumn. I have had a heavy cold EVERY year in Jan/Feb for at least 12 years ! This year I had no cold symptoms whatsoever.
I will continue to take the correct amounts in future without fail. Thanks Dr. Sam.
How awesome! Well done on this change. I'm really pleased to hear it @runswithwind
All things I can do to improve my health are so welcome. I am 72, thanks Dr Sam 🌹
Dr. Sam you are sunshine !
Yes she is...
Love your sense of humor and the way you break down your explanation of vitamin D intake
Careful Doctory flattery can sow the seeds of destruction but I am sure you have more sense than that.
Stay safe Dr. Bailey. We need more brave practitioners like you who study, know and speak TRUTH! Thank you for all you give to us.
It's the first time I saw you !!! You're such a sunshine girl!!! Beautiful!!! ❤️
lemon
Well done. See nothing to do with you know what.
My son is a doctor who deals with hormone issues with his patients and vitamin D is his BIGGEST problem and we live in southern NM. His next biggest issue with his elderly patients is low DHEA hormone levels. Look it up, but taking 25mg a day makes a huge difference in how you feel.
Never had I ever had a teacher or doctor such as Dr. Sam. Such a lovely charismatic darling with a lot of awesome information to provide.
Us blokes fancying on d good doc a bit too much methinks!
Most beautiful intelligent kind hearted Doctor her husband is blessed!
Hi Dr. Sam, Thank you for your very informative videos. They are really helpful and I enjoy them very much. I have one quick question, have you done a video that lists all of the blood tests (for general health and vitamins) one would should consider completing before their annual physicals with their doctors? Thank you!
Thanks Doc, I give my Mother vitamin D tablets twice a day and she’s almost 94!
I really love your joy in talking about Vitamin D. It’s funny too with clips in between.
I may share with school kids in Texas, USA. Thank you so much!
Great video. Thanks. My symptoms were recurrent sore throats. My Dr ordered a blood test and I was
Dr Sam, I must admit I love watching you smile through the entire video, you have insightful information and a very nice way about you.
God Bless!Amen!
@@illuminated2438 You're not very illuminated, are you ? What makes you think that xjet sees it as unethical to get paid for created value ?
Enjoyed the video. Factual and well presented. I'm a physician in Canada and have been recommending VitD for decades. Makes a huge difference in preventive medicine. Look into Vitamin C also....a lot of information on this. (My background before medicine was genetics....need for VitC is due to a genetic defect in humans....and only 4 other species...all other species make it in liver and it is up regulated in disease states. It's as important as VitC.) Keep up your good work. Cheers.
I live in Scotland so we don't get that much sun,
plenty cloud and rain though but recently I have
started taking a supplement Vit D 4000iu,plus
Vit K2 100ug, I am aged 78, I believe it's advisable
to Vit K at the same time something to do with
the Calcium levels.🤔
I would love her to be my Doctor. What a personality and smile . New Zealand here I come !!!
Thank you.
God Bless Everybody!Amen!
i'm from the UK and i can vouch for the complete lack of sun for what sometimes feels like months! I have started increasing my vitamin D intake having found out about its important to health.
I'm from Brazil, I don't speak english but I understand her smile(I'm using google translator).
WOW a doctor who speaks english, although with a funny accent, to us not so well versed in medicine. Thanks you make learning easy and pleasant.
Very usual Sam..... Also, totally adore your accent😄😄😄
You're my favourite doctor. You won't find too many good doctors who care where I live.
@Space Ghost - thank you. I hope you find a doctor you can trust where you live 👍
@@DrSamBailey Hopefully, but until then you're gonna have to be that doctor. :)
Pill, sun, or watching and listening to you is just the right dosage! 😊
I've had about 6 skin cancers cut out so I'd like to know more about how I can balance how much sunlight is safe for me! And I find the NZ sun burns me much faster than the Australian sun (well I am aware its the same sun but you know what I mean).
Look up Niacinamide
Yes exactly
I was diagnosed with low vitamin D and given booster doses and told after completed to take a supplement but not told how high this supplement should be. I come from often cloudy Wales in Britain but tan easily. What you said confirmed my own research and I shall be taking 50 micrograms daily from October through to the end of April. Thank you.
I love listening to your medical advice, but your accent makes it even more pleasant...
thits rite meet
Excellent! That's very kind of you Scott ☀
Hello Dr. Sam,
Thank you very much for making all of your very informative videos.
Not only your tips are clear and beautifully explained. As a bonus love your accent and your smile.
I was low in Vitamin D so a practicioner advised me to take Vitamin D supplements. The synthetic Vit. D from oil of sheep wool gave met toxic reactions. So i deicded to take from oily fishes whole food sources.
The primary reason I enjoy your channel is your honesty. Secondary is your contagious smile. Thank you.
You are AWESOME doc!!!!
You look like an angel!!!😍
God Bless!Amen!
Too much lockdown I think. People are just plain lonely.
Women like her are very rare to find.so sweet and smart.god bless her.
Thank you for your great videos dr Sam! So nice to have a doctor like you in NZ! Don’t let the ‘censorship’ stop you being so brave 😉😊
Thank you Dr Sam for your informative videos. Would love you to do a video on zinc and magnesium and which are the best ones to take.
What a great service!!! Being the most beautiful Doctor in the world, is Icing on the cake!!!
During covid l am on 3000 iu's daily.
thanks to dr. shiva ayyadurai who started the explanation of vitamin D importance to our immune system to fight covid virus
I have never met Dr. Bailey. I have however listened to several of her videos. So far I have not heard anything that I would remotely question so she has my 100% endorsement. Asst. Prof. David Earl-Graef MD ABIM ABNM FACP ( retired ) Keep up the good work Sam.
To be a naysayer, she does label a little anecdote of her taking vitamin D over the winter as an "experiment" (though that's being pedantic).
Ok, thank you...I will be making something on this for you :)
@@DrSamBailey Thank you Dr Bailey. You are wonderful, and I look forward to it. Be safe and healthy!
New Mexico has terrible health care (did not know when I moved here 4 yrs ago!!)
So I was Especially Haptic to find your YT channel and book, which I have ordered for myself and my daughter to read. I live onSicial Security, so have little to share outside of rent n for. But I hope to support you in Al way possible. I know my daughter,Sam, will feel the same (she is anactive RN in Tennessee, so we are realtor spread out).
Anywy, I cant say enough about how happy I am to have found you. Just wish I had moved to New Zealand when I considered it in the 1980's!!😅❤🎉
What is your take on sunscreen lotions that is made with those harmful chemicals? And which one do you recommend?
Sunscreen will block the vitamin D3 from the sun. I would say if you have light skin dont get so much sun you get sunburned, only half the time .
I’m in the UK and have just started vitamin ABCD supliments, My doctor is useless so I usually look after myself watching UA-cam health footage and google for correct doses and foods to eat,I have severe COPD grade 4 they gave me 31/2 years to live back in 2010/2011 my specialist said last June that he thought I would have died before then and said what ever it is your doing keep doing it and gave me a high five I was due to see him again this June but due to covid it’s been cancelled, I’d also like to say I think you are extremely attractive God bless you 🇬🇧✌️
Extreme clarity as always Dr Sam. Thank you!
What a gem and wellspring of helpful information and a good sense of humor.
My fav is 5:18, when you talk about going out in the sun to get melatonin.... that really made me think about what other experts have said. Thanks
My Doctor just advised me to begin taking Vitamin D. Your vlog really helped!
I live in Florida but have your coloring so I have to be very careful in the sun.
Glad it was helpful!
What a beautiful person you are. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and research with us. 🌹☺️
Wow, thank you Edward.
Dr Sam you are very great at informing people.
I find it fascinating that "every cell" in our body needs D, but only requires a supplemental of less than a milligram a day, by a full order of magnitude, assuming you are deficient.
The body is extremely efficient.
It acts like a hormone, doing signalling work and getting other metabolic functions to work as they should.
I live in the UK and i wish you were my GP You seem so sincere 👍
Great video but people will be left confused as it's also measured in IU or ug in some countries. Would be interesting to know how long should one be exposing their skin to sunlight on a daily bases according to skin tone. Apparently farmers in India are some of the healthiest people around because they get exposed constantly to sunlight
A Dr.? That's what I need! Please, which hospital/clinic should I go to and what color should be the flowers?
Thank you Dr Sam. Love you take care and God Bless.
Same to you!
My wife and have been taking vitamin D supplement for a year now just to make sure, Love the Barbarella book! Take care.
That's why we always had 1 teaspoon of cod liver oil before bed ! Special in the winters in Holland . Thank you dr sam keep up the good work 🤗👍
we had to adapt as we moved north: the same pigment that protects from UV hinders vitamin D production - women with low vitamin D have a poorly formed pelvis and are less successful in child-bearing: this (over time) selects for whiter skin as you move north (better vitamin D production = better calcium absorption, more successful birth rate). other coping mechanisms: eating fish, red meat, mushrooms growing (or dried) in sunlight... nowadays we supplement dairy, but if you're a vegan and don't eat dairy, meat or fish...
My level was at 8 ng/mL a couple years ago. Interestingly, after an infarction 3 years before that test, my cardiologist never did that test, nor recommended taking vitamin D. Now on 5,000 iu / day.
Hi This is Dr Lopamudra from India.Honestly like your deliberation and content.keep up your good work
Thank you @Dr Lopamudra Ghosh - I really appreciate your feedback!
Great video.I also like Dr. Syra Madad ( Pandemic Netflix ) and Michael Osterholm
This young lady really knows her stuff and she's gorgeous too. A real Kiwi delight. 💝💝💝
Love your videos, they’re very informative!!! Love the breakdown on the various vitamins your body needs, and the the reaction to less or more needed in the body. Also, please cover more female hormone issues.
Ok, thanks for your suggestion Becca M :)
Dr. Sam Bailey has and continues to provide an amazing service to humanity/the world for free! She's quite beautiful as well : )
Dr.sam you are one of the most beautiful 😍inspiration for all people .good advice , always happy smile makes us feel good.thank you for having us dr.sam😍😍😍
So nice of you
A very useful video, never realised vitamin D was so important, I live in the UK which is very grey in the winter. Thank you for all your videos and keep showing us that lovely smile, it is infectious.
Keep up the good work.
I have autoimmune so all these years I thought I felt bad from that. 1 doctor checking my Vit D level changed my life!
And I’m 40, fair skin, and in the sun all the time. So I honestly never would have guessed I had low Vit D
