Hey, I need to say, this was a REALLY good episode. There's something about this guy, the way he talks, the way he's honest, his attitude.. This guy is really smart and has a lot of wisdom. This might be my favorite interview you've done, Ian.

State police in southern Indiana shot my dad in the back 5 times and then he laid there and died because nobody would help him or even attempt to save his life and we tried to get lawyers and nobody would go against the state police because they do their own investigations on themselves and are masters at cover ups. We talked to the best lawyers in the state and surrounding states and nothing. He was a big dude and it was on a dark county road and the cop was so scared he shot his own door three times and dad was cooperating with the cops and gave them his ID and when the cop asked about weapons dad pulled his jacket back to show him he did have a gun but never went for it and did it slowly and the cop was so scared he jumped behind his car door and started shooting and the first bullet went through the coat under his arm from where he was holding his jacket back to show the gun and when that happened dad turned and ran and was bending over to try to be small like you would think when someone is shooting at you and he was shot in the lower back and it came out the front up by his shoulder and he laid up against a tree just off the side of the road and the cop was so worried about his story he wouldn’t try to save a life and they let him lay there and die so then there is no he said anything. I know all this story because I went and got my gun that my dad wouldn’t give me because he said I was to wild and would definitely get in Trouble with it and so that gun was mine and after two years I finally went and got it out of evidence and I went ahead and got the dash cam which took me 5 years to finally watch it and I was so pissed after that and wish i would have never watched it. This was 20+ years ago before body cams and most dash cams. The state was the first to have the dash cams and it wasn’t in all cars at that time yet. Of course the officer got paid time off while the shooting was investigated by themselves so obviously it was found to be justified.

The judge is about to give me somewhere between 18months and 4 years in D.O.C. here in Maryland on March 12. I’ve been to county jail for 30 days(released after 22 days)once before but never prison. I’m here to ask what to expect when I first get sent upstate? Any help is appreciated over my last 7 days of freedom for a minute…
My lawyer said it will be a medium prison at first then they will move me down to minimum after I stay outta trouble for 12 months. Need some advice! Preciate yall!

Try to get Spike on your show. He did 26 years in prison. Him and the rapper/actor Ice T wrote a book together about their life called Split Decision. They robbed 100’s of Jewelry stores together. Ice t quit his life of crime to pursue his hip hop career. Spike was getting into hip hop also but decided to do one more robbery that went bad. Got sentenced 30 to Life in prison. Mean while Ice T been playing a cop for 25 years on Law and Order. Spike only got one in depth interview its on Thestimradio channel. Its only audio but very interesting interview.
If a judge arraigns you not guilty use that to your advantage later. Judge you already suggested that I'm not guilty.
Was thinking while listening to this guy speak, is he likeable? Not really, but you got to respect him without a doubt. He's just wired differently and will always be.
Some guys need more time so when they get out they more calmer, cause they older. Glad he's home for his kids but you wonder if he'll keep it together. He's a guy you would want to be by your side in a bar fight. But he could also be a dick as well. Best of luck to him.
