    Honestly this case infuriates me so much because it is so obvious that it was someone within the home (one of the ramseys). When you consider all the evidence from the unneccessarily long ransom note, the fact that the paper and pen came from their home, as did the garrotte (part of a paintbrush from patsys art supplies), which strangled her. Who 'breaks' into a home and intends to kidnap a child for economic gain (the $118,000 that would have ensured jonbenets safe delivery home); but instead decides to murder her there and then spontaneously. But instead of trying to get out as quickly as possible so they don't get caught they start rooting around in patsy's art supplies to find a paintbrush handle to form a garotte to strangle her?! It doesn't even make sense. I do firmly believe that it was burke (in an accident which escalated); he hit her with the flashlight after she stole some of his pineapple (the theory in the CBS docu), and then it was covered up with the help of definitely patsy and perhaps john also. Patsy is an excellent liar and very convincing from all her experience performing in pagents, she puts on a very convincing performance during the 911 call and in TV interviews. No one will ever be prosecuted as the crime scene was severely contaminated; and also the fact that this is a middle class family make the family treated with sympathy rather than suspicion from the onset.

    How about the fact that on the 911 call you can hear both John and Patsy saying things in the background while the other is on the phone with the police. Patsy is overheard saying something to the effects of "What did you do?" Then John is heard to say something to the effects of "We're not talking to you right now." • @misslaura199
      @misslaura199 4 роки тому +29

      Apparently a few days before her murder, a phone call to the police was made from the ramsey residence but noone spoke they hung up, the police went to the house but nothing happened because there was no reason there was no suspicious behaviour, a family friend of the ramseys believe it was Jonbenet who made the call because she wasn't happy leading up to Christmas that year and had made some odd comments that a six year old shouldn't make

    • @roetheboat1
      @roetheboat1 4 роки тому +20

      The issue with taking those comments and trying to assign the context is that we simply don't KNOW why they were saying that. As others have said, it could have been a TV or radio on in the background.
      Patsy could have been saying "What did you do" to Burke because he had dropped a cup while trying to get a drink and it surprised her. Or maybe he turned the TV, or was using the microwave, or any number of things that would have had his mother asking him "What did you do?"
      Furthermore, in this theory, Patsy would have been calling 911 AFTER either her or her husband had strangled JonBenet, hidden the body, practiced writing a ransom note, and then written the actual ransom note. Why would she have been asking "What did you do?" if it was in relation to him hitting or killing his sister?

      That is true however you can usually see quite clearly how old a spider web is, bc a freshly made one looks very different from one that has been there for a while and already collected dust etc. If you search for the picture you can see that it is in fact a very dusty old web, _no way_ a spider made that after the murder.

    • @Mercy_Plays_YT
      @Mercy_Plays_YT 3 роки тому +2

      Okay, so apparently there's a whole fuckin forum board with a sub JUST for this spider web. Arguably, yes, a spider could have just spun another web. However, it's possible, looking at the picture of the window, the web was too old to have been spun a short time ago. Another point against the window/spiderweb theory is that some spider nerd claimed the web was that of a very specific spider, the funnel-web. Now, I'm not going to google when they come in/out of hibernation and confirm it because I have severe arachnophobia, but the guy posited that a funnel web would have spun this web possibly a month or two before the murder, and would have then gone into hibernation or something in November and would have maybe only come out again if its resting place was disturbed, which he suggested could have been a small grate nearby. However, my friend did a google for me and apparently funnel webs don't actually go into hibernation, so.................... anyway, there's a lot of stuff on the forum,

    it was burke. hE got mad about the pineapple, smashed her in the head and stabbed her with a part from the train tracks. This is why they thought it was a tazer. The train tracks from childrens toys have two pointy metal pieces to connect one section of track to the other and they line up exactly with the holes in Jonbenet. The other discovered what had happened and planted the note, thinking she was dead they strangled her to remove suspicion from Burke. Finally listen to the audio of the original phone call to police you can hear Burke in the background saying incriminating things. Including asking "are they going to arrest me" amd Patsy asking "What DId you DO??"

      Retrovirus ikr I have seen multiple documentaries with a lot of theories and that is the most believable one. Although maddie wasn't alone, se was with her siblings. The parents were having dinner in the resort's restaurant and every 30 minutes one of the parents went to check in on the children (there were about 3 couples with children, I'm not sure). But the last person to check in on the children wasn't one of maddie's parents, it was another person and that person didn't check on maddie, only on her siblings. There are so many theories about what happened that night that it is impossible to write it all down in this comment

I grew up in Denver, CO, and my sister and her family now live, literally, just a hop and a skip from the Ramsey house. It's the worst thing that's ever happened there, in my opinion. So very sad. I don't have any theories, other than the fact that the family's lifestyle and choices definitely invited some icky stuff.

    The Burke theory makes sense. But when he hit her on the head, he didn't kill her. Instead, I believe he knocked her unconscious on accident. The family mistook this for her being dead, and strangled her to set up the "scene" in the basement to protect their son.

    So I think I figured it out: Burke hit JonBenet round the head with a flashlight after her stealing some of his fruit. The parents came down and saw she was knocked out but they thought she was dead ( sometimes it's hard to tell if someone's dead when they are breathing faintly ). They then came up with this elaborate plan to make it seem like it was a break in. The Dad strangled JonBenet to add to this plan while the Mum was writing the ransom note, but as the Dad was strangling her she started to fight back, coming back to life. By this point they were ALL in too deep and can't turn back so he just carried on. They were a well known family and had a high reputation, how could they possibly style this out? Each one of them were guilty so their best bet was just to run along with the plan.

      natalie draper i think your theory is almost right but I believe Burke chased her into the basement after she stole some pineapple, and hit her...she fell, he poked her with a piece of toy (which made the "stun gun") mark, and no response so he thought she was dead. I think he then left her there and went to bed, hoping not to be found out. Later, i suspect Patsy found her down there as she was doing laundry, and assumed that her husband had done it (because she knew he'd been molesting her) and so she staged the scene/note to protect him, not Burke. There would have been no need to legally protect Burke being underage. The note is so rambling because she was in a state of shock. The reason i think she protected John is that she didn't want their reputations and finances to be ruined...which would be ironic, as thats what happened anyway.

    I don't think it's fair to judge someone's reaction to a tragedy. We all respond differently to things like this. I tend to smile or have little emotion when I'm recalling something bad that's happened, it's just the way I deal with it because I'm uncomfortable or anxious, or so I won't fall apart in front of them. I hate crying in front of people, I'd rather grieve on my own. So when I'm telling someone about something bad that happened to me I tend to distance myself from the emotion of the situation and sometimes I end up smiling or talking about it like it's no big deal. I think a lot of people do this.

      D Luna usually though, our responses like that are to such things that happen to us, personally. Because it’s embarrassing or awkward. But when a family member is murdered it’s neither of those things. At least I hope not, because there are psychopaths and sociopaths. A psychopath has perception of emotion although they feel them inappropriately. Like Burke did. He was laughing and smiling as they talked about his dead sister. A sociopath would have no emotion. So he would have been like, “yeah. Tragic” or he would have been overcome with emotion considering sociopaths know how to mimic the emotions of others. So in a way you are right. Our reactions range on a scale. We can’t really judge him, but I do think that the laughing may have been an inappropriate expression of emotion.

    I think that maybe when one of the family members hit her in the head they didn't strangle her to "finish it off" as Ryan put it, i think that maybe when she was hit in the head (probably by Burke) the family thought she had died but was still barely alive so when they strangled her to make it look like an intruder, they strangled her to death without even knowing it because she was still alive. That explains the evidence of her being strangled while alive.

    If JonBenet was a bedwetter and messed up he dolls and made them ugly, out of anger and frustration or sadness that could've been a projection of how she felt. If she did, she may have been getting molested too...

    • @gsjdndnndns1818
      @gsjdndnndns1818 3 роки тому +7

      yes cause bedwetting is also related with bad memories or high anxiety stress TRAUMA etc so that is a very likely case too

      @@gsjdndnndns1818 I wetted the bed until I was 10 and nothing happened to me ever. Also didn’t know you where a psychologist, but then again everyone jn this comment section thinks they’re.

    • @johanabi
      @johanabi Рік тому +4

      @@DripJambe to be fair, bed wetting can often be related to childhood sexual trauma, and the commenter said “may have,” which is possible given what is known about the case and family. Unfortunately, that type of trauma is far more common than people are aware of since many children never speak out. Some can’t even remember the abuse until later in life, especially after a triggering event (like their abuser dying), or they don’t realize what happened to them was abuse. The human brain is complex, and this commenter is suggesting that CSA was a possibility because there are similarities between Jonbenet and confirmed cases of CSA.
