Touhou 4: Lotus Land Story - Bad Apple!! (Custom Synthesizer: Emulight E/1)

Another rendition of the original Bad Apple!! from Touhou 4 - Lotus Land Story, this time recorded on a new custom synthesizer.
My last version of Bad Apple!! already used custom Eurorack modules, but this time it's all done with one single custom Eurorack module! You might wonder how much you can pack into a single 4HP Eurorack module … turns out: a lot, for not much money.
The Emulight E/1 synthesizer is based on a Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA (XC7A35T) which handles all the "analog synthesizer" parts. It implements an 8 voice polyphonic / 8 part multitimbral "analog" subtractive synthesizer with digital oscillators and real analog Moog VCFs as well as analog VCAs connected to the FPGA. Right now, every voice has 8 oscillators (for a total of 64 oscillators on the board!) as well as an envelope generator for the VCF/VCA. This is still far from finished though and roughly 85% of the FPGA's logic resources are still unused. Let's see what this module can do once all my ideas are implemented.
Since the FPGA alone would be way too boring, a small microcontroller (STM32F412RET6) provides a fancy text UI via RS232, handles MIDI as well as voice allocation for the FPGA, and also implements a small 8 voices polyphonic / 8 part multitmbral sampler with 128kB sample RAM and an optional short stereo/cross delay effect (roughly 340ms buffer).
Now you might wonder: what does it cost to build such a module? Roughly 80€ so far, but there is still a mixer board missing which is supposed to provide stereo panning for the "analog" synthesizer voices. Since this mixer board is still missing, I recorded the individual channels and mixed them in Cubase for this demo. Once everything is finished, I'll probably publish the complete source code and schematics of the Emulight E/1 … but this will take a while. Enjoy this demo in the meantime!

Hell yeah its the original version by ZUN from Touhou Gensoukyou, and not the popular fanmade remix by Alstromeria Records & Nomico.
I'm kind of interested on what Sleeping Terror (from the same game) would sound like with these synths.
