My dad is 90. He's a Type II diabetic. He has had 5 bypasses, carotid artery surgery, and currently has 13 stints. God sustained him through all of this! He still plows and ha s a garden. We serve a mighty God!

We have lost 2 parents in the last 2 years. We are constantly dealing with care giving issues and everything it entails. 1 minute you are moving along and the next you get hit with something else that changes your whole life. All the hugs ,❤&prayers.

Please thank you father for his service to our country. I was also married to a Vietnam vet who suffered from agent orange exposure. I can relate to the health issues from that exposure. Prayers offered up in behalf of your family. I enjoy watching all your videos. I am able to live a homesteading lifestyle vicariously through all y'all.

As a nurse, I want to say congratulations to your daughter. She has chosen a wonderful profession. Also, I want you to know that I worked in a cardiovascular hospital and cardiac rehab as well. I have seen a lot of patients who have had ablations and bypasses and they did great! I will be praying that Kevin's father does great as well. 🙏
When I worked in the hospital as a cardiac nurse, I took care of many many people who had open heart and I saw lots of successful surgeries, outcomes, and most of them had multiple comorbidities, lots going on with their health, etc. Remain hopeful! ❤ A couple of tips, make sure they are controlling his pain after the surgery so he can get up and move around and do the rehab he needs to do. Also, if they give him an incentive spirometer, don't just set it on the table, he needs to USE it! It's to get his lungs stronger and to help his breathing and prevent pneumonia or other complications from secretions just sitting in his lungs. God be with you all.

My grandpa also had exposure to agent orange in Vietnam. It caused health complications in his life as well. I will be praying for your dad and his surgery. I have put it on my calendar. A lot of life updates for you! God is always moving, changing and growing us as we walk in faith with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment to have a lump/mass looked at. I am happy to pray for Kevin's father. It will keep my thoughts on the procedures going on there, and keep the positive prayers going his way.
Agreement in prayer for a great outcome. My mom went through open heart surgery, mitral valve repair, ablations and eventually pacemaker, it’s a long recovery.🙏😇Glad God led you to leave more free time to spend with family. I’ve been caring for loved ones in our home for 38 years, my nursing background really helps, but couldn’t be done without the word of God and prayer.

I will definitely be adding you all to my daily prayers. ❤ my uncle Frank was a wwii vet. He had 3 of the open heart surgeries you are speaking about plus a pace make. He lived to be 97 i believe and he passed away from cancer on Christmas eve. Oh how much he would love you guys. You 2 remind me of my family .we are from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Kevin you are so much like my dad when he was your age and Sarah you are so much like a combination of my aunt Winnie and me. One day we are all going to be great family and friends in heaven . I love how you followed the the God's will . He knows what is best for us. We don't always know why we are compelled to do or not do something but trusting in our Lord in all things he will lead us. My hubby (57) had a 5 way open heart bypass surgery last September. He has a hereditary condition that led to this. He spent a month in hospital and another 4 months recovering. The array of meds after surgery took some adjusting but he's finally almost back to normal. I hope your dads surgery goes well and he has a speedy recovery. Thank your dad for his service from our little Aussie family. Sarah I hope your mums health improves also.

Will be praying Tuesday. Samantha couldn’t have chosen a better profession. I went back to school when I was 33 and have been nursing for more than 25 yrs. I am a floor nurse at 62 and wouldn’t have it any other way. The best thing about nursing is there are so many ways to go. I would love to be able to talk to her and encourage her. Also, I just want to thank you for coming into our lives. My husband and I are always passing on your wisdom. I can hardly wait for the new videos, you are better than family, you feel like my best friends. I’ll be praying for all your families. I know how hard that is. God Bless you!

My husband had a-fib for 10+ years and had surgery for it 10 years ago this spring and so far it has been successful.
Prayers that this surgery is successful for your father and that he is able to heal and recover fully.
It's really heart breaking to hear families going through health issues with aging. I'm a R.N. working in rehab and long term care. I see patients like this all the time. It can go south real fast. I'm so glad to hear your baby is going into nursing career. God knows we need more help. There is a great nursing shortage and we are all pushed to the challenge of working in the profession. On a side note, IT CANT BE 8 YEARS!!! We all come so far in such a short time.

During that time we found out he has congested heart failure with only 25% heart function. He’s now in cardio rehab. He had to retire after he lost his job & his insurance. Has turned out life upside down. But God has been here through it all. So we really know how to pray for your dad🙏. Keep us updated please.

I’ll be praying for you and your family. 2 1/2 years ago I found out I had a congenital heart defect which effected my life for a while
I had 2 open heart surgeries within 2 weeks. I’m not going to lie it was rough! Now I feel so good !! What a difference!! I’m so happy for the doctors and family that got me through it!!! Your father is going to be fine I was 59 when I had the surgery and now I’m 62 and feeling great ! Positive thoughts and prayers going your way ❤
