Remember, mojang draws the line at killing frogs and not slavery, mass farming of endangered species and beating a man to death with an axe because he chose the wrong profession.
@@teopazdrijan1008 Because they do, Minecraft isn't profitable for Microsoft when you buy it and don't need to pay more and get free updates. Mojang exists to make Minecraft and any spin offs relevant. It is why they lie, fake content, and can only add 1 mob not 3 mobs.
If we push for better Mojang can do 1 good thing and it tricks everyone they want to sell it to. So we are basically puppets being used and manipulated with their half done updates.

If you don’t know Red Mushrooms with white spots are hallucinogenic, and poisonous.
Mojang, if they actually cared, wouldn’t still have them in a food item.
On top of that, sharks aren’t hostile irl, and only attack because they’re curious about what you are, and why you’re around them in their home.
Yet Mojang says “we don’t want to put real dangerous animals in Minecraft”, THEN CAN YOU TELL ME WHY POLAR BEARS ARE IN THE GAME?!
Polar bears actively hunt people! They go out of their way to do so! They are literally, but Mojangs own words a “Dangerous Animal In Minecraft!”
Yup, and all of this because Mojang is mostly a shell designed to keep Minecraft profitable.
Controversy, lies, faking popular content, it is all done to sell spin offs and sell new kids on Minecraft. Having a game you buy and own without paying more isn't sustainable for Microsoft.
Simple because jebs wife likes them, this was revealed in one of the minecraft books ....so basically polar bear had favoritism on his side
not to mention that dolphins are actively evil creatures, meanwhile sharks just do what they do to survive, just silly little (big) fish guys that need to eat. Dolphins are too smart for their own good with the capacity for evil.

the real answer a lot of the times is that mojang has a spiteful streak and sometimes will refuse to add something for the sole reason that all the fans want it - sideways slabs is my main thought but there are others that i can't remember rn

There also should of been "Red Squids" a fast Carnivorous squids that lives in holes and dashes out like a bullet to pull you down.
@@shanrk_Thanks for mentioning Skeletaur but barely anyone seems to know it. I tried searching UA-cam and no one has covered it. Someone needs to make a whole video entirely of it. Even I'm hearing it for the first time.
They could have just removed the part where the frogs ate the fireflies. Fireflies would have been amazing and I don't believe removing cool features from the table is justified by, "oh no, kids might do a thing."
Imagine if they removed cookies because they're poisonous to parrots...

I think some mobs you should have included are: "Mob E" (scrapped from the 2017 Mob Vote), Alpaca (it was prob just a different name for the Llama, but who knows), Big Rabbit (leftover of the old big rabbit that was on bedrock edition files for a long time), Colored Wolf (wolf that can have the color changed by dyes (bedrock edition)), Player Mob (spawn egg that spawned a player with no AI (bedrock edition)), OG MCPE Zombie Pigman (existed before the 0.12.0 on pocket edition, and if you load him on a newer version, it will be a very fast zombie). And thats all i can remember

@@bobertastic6541 apparently llamas are MUCH bigger and have MUCH more weight, while alpacas are the opposite, and alpaca are more shy, while llamas are more brave etc. So if Minecraft had alpacas they prob would be smaller and dont attack you back

I’ve always found it odd Zombie Horses aren’t available aside from in creative. They found a way to make Skeletons horses available in Survival, even if rare. They can definitely do similar with Zombie Horses
the elder guardian ghost is the thing that shows up when you get the mining fatigue effect so its not unused necessarily

Yeah it’s not a particular effect on bedrock edition. Where on Java it’s just a sliding image - on bedrock it fully moves and even lingers on the screen for longer before leaving

I'm still fairly certain that the China poll was never an actual mob vote. I believe that it happened when the panda was already in the process of getting added to the game, and the translation I remember seeing of it was something along the lines of 'A national treasure is getting added to Minecraft! Which would you choose?' Like, I don't think there was any mention of the winner getting added to the game, and it seems like a decent way to tease that the panda was coming without explicitly stating that it was - out of all the possibilities it's the one that the vast majority of people would have expected/been hyped for, and there's no way it would have lost the popularity poll.
Seems like a pretty sweet deal really: Basically the same as the semi-fixed mob votes that we get for the standard game but without the pretence that it's going to affect development, and none of the following recriminations afterwards that it's all our fault that the wrong mob got through...

I saw a video clip of the Glow Squid for the Mob Vote, and saw tiny Agnes and tiny Jens being stunned and their eyes shining, being unable to move because they got close to the glow squid. When it was actually added to the game, I got close to it, but I was still able to move. I hit it and shot ink, and was in the ink, but I was still able to move.
Yeah that would at least make it interesting. It coulda been useful for pvp.
they could've made it apply AOE blindness on players looking at it (and gave it a special effect where it was always visible through that effect) instead, it got nothing.
yeah... that's why after that the mob vote trailers show no "magic escenary", just some minor interactions with the mob. Even worst! the last mob vote what actually just a "list" of mobs with little to no interactions...
That's because hypnotism wasn't an actual feature of the mob, that was just creative flair meant to emphasize how "pretty" the Glow Squid was. It ended up misleading people, which is why they're a lot more direct now. What they SAY is going to be a feature is all they'll be adding to the mob votes now (yet despite this, people STILL read too much into what's shown in the teaser animations).
The glowsquid and moobloom used to be in Minecraft Earth long before the mob vote, same goes for the Iceoleger for Dungeons, the vote was to bring them into the normal game, they didnt get re used in the spin offs
the iceologer not so "long before" the iceologer was part of the creeping cinter dlc, release date september 9, the move vote trailer for the iceologer was release on september 20 and the minecraft live was on october 4th, so... just one month before
Come to think of it, I would love a floating island/cloud biome. Maybe above an ocean floor? It would make for an awesome way to find dragons.

Still upset about the fire fly, and their slash and burn idea to get rid of it, instead of just have it hurt frogs like cookies do to birds

You can add a ton of mobs to the game simply by installing Alex's Mobs but Mojang can only manage to add one per year.

Honestly the use of dragonmounts for the dragons was neat and to me it's an alright replacement. Would LOVE more vanilla dragons but mods work.

Probably they were just to lazy to do that or didn't really have any idea on what it would do other than be eaten by frogs
Idea: Add Fireflies, make frogs unable to eat them. Simple. (Also maybe make frogs get poisoned if you give em a firefly)
At the VERY LEAST they should have made them an ambient particle effect!

Honestly, I wish that Minecraft added all the Minecraft Earth mobs and mob variants to the actual game. Not only Mooblooms, but there were also Cluckshrooms that could be a nice addition to the mushroom islands that overall have basically nothing, but also animal variants like the Muddy Pig that could be just a pig variant that happens if a pig enters into water in a specific biome or something, or make it an easter egg if you name a pig like that, but Minecraft Earth had a lot more mob variants other than those that I'd love to see again. Some others are the bunny variants that Minecraft Earth had.
Or other things: it would be a nice easter egg if you name a llama "Jolly" to get the Minecraft Earth Jolly Llama design, or to have somehow the Dyed cat as a cat variant, since it even appears in an official Lego set.
Though, Minecraft Earth had a huge amount of basically only re-texured mobs that I'd like to see back. They would be really enjoyable to see to all people like me who enjoyed Minecraft Earth before it was deleted.
They could just add Dragonflies for frogs to eat.

This was a very interesting video and that last bit about the red dragon seems like it had a lot of potential especially item drop wise it probably could've had a cool base where you raid it and get some rare items or have it drop armour fragments that can be used to craft a dragon armour that's fire resistant and a dragon sword that burns anything it touches
If they put a modified of the red dragon in some ruins like a large rare structure or biome like the woodland mansion or the mushroom island that would be amazing. I know it wouldn't probably happen but imagine you are exploring the land and you come across a land scared by a volcano in its Centre lies a large ruin holding many secrets, a treasure trove guarded by a dragon or giant, special materials, unique mobs the possibilities are endless.
Still out here hoping for a savanna update along with the armadillo.

Still to this day wish fireflies were added. I’m like 30 years old been in college for quite sometime and never heard of them being poisonous to frogs. To me it seemed to be an excuse but what ever
They are poisonous to frogs, but that doesn't stop frogs from being dumb enough to eat them irl. The only reason they removed them was because a select few people complained about it... I doubt they were expecting Mojang to completely remove them though.

If the problem with fireflies is that they're poisonous to frogs, and Mojang doesn't want people to imitate it... just don't make the frogs eat them? And if frogs eating fireflies has to be a feature, why not make the frogs get the poison effect to show they're poisonous? Mojang literally lets us feed parrots cookies to instantly kill them, so I don't see why the fireflies issue is so different?
There's so many better ways Mojang could have handled the issue, but they decided on the worst possible solution, which was to do nothing.
I remember The Killer Bunny. He was really aggressive and I'm surprised I didn't get to see him in a vicious fight with a wolf.
Fireflies: instead of removing them, just make them not being eaten by the frogs. Just an ambient mob and maybe a light source that would looks really nice. If I could have the skills, i would make this a mod
Really want a Red Dragon, it would be so cool to soar skies on a better version of elytra! And maybe it could even breath fire for a short duration of time... What a waste of potential :(

They could've done the EXACT same thing with Frogs and Fireflies, but instead they chose the laziest option available and chose to scrap the Firefly altogether.

True - I guess a better phrasing would be that they STAYED in Dungeons and Earth, rather than went to them
A few errors I noticed:
• China edition is exactly the same as regular Minecraft, the footage shown is from servers/mods that you can access through the launcher, nothing official, tho.
• The Iceologer and Moobloom were already in Dungeons and Earth respectively, that's why they are shown in the Minecraft Live trailer as well.
• The Pink Wither did come back in another April Fool's update.
Also, you jumped out mobs that Notch mentioned in his blog, like, if I remember correctly, the guinea pig.
1. China Edition is actually quite different - those "mods" are officially sanctioned and listed as gamemodes alongside vanilla creative/survival. There's a separate section for mods and servers in that launcher, while these are treated as official gamemodes

3. Yeah, I had that in the script originally but cut it out for brevity.

The fire fly thing is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, just because its in the game doesnt mean a bunch of kids are gonna start feeding frogs fire flies.
God I hate mob votes, and the firefly's were stupid. Just program the frogs to not eat them, Minecraft needs more ambience! Mojang could easily fix their reputation by making it to where mob votes don't result in said mob being scrapped.
Also an Illusioner in a revamped mansion would be awesome, because tbh current mansions are more eyesores than anything else. Not to mention mojang has gotten a lot better at designing generated buildings, so a revamped mansion would be awesome, for now though I'll just wait for Yung to make a better mansion mod or something.
mob votes do not result in them being scrapped, they result in them being shelved until they feel like its a good time for them to be added

Mojang could have just made firefly as a particle affect like spore blawsums, and if they really wanted a use for them, just shuve them into bottles or lanterns

The gullet was based on the Mob C. The Gullet's behaviour isn't necessarily what was planned for Mob C.

Minor correction early in the video: you call steve the "human mob" this is incorrect. The in game and in files mob name was "Player"

3:48 ACTUALLY this is a common misconception... Most of those things are just mods for Chinese Minecraft, not actually part of the game itself. Communication between countries is a lot more limited in China (because of the government and stuff) so no, they are in fact NOT in vanilla. They're just mods.
Hey, check my video on Minecraft China - people have started calling them mods because a few history youtubers made that claim, but they're available in the vanilla launcher alongside survival/creative (mods are in a separate section) and are never called mods
@@mcbyt It still doesn't feel right... There's something off about it. I would not be surprised if those features were more akin to Minecraft Bedrock's Marketplace... Technically vanilla, but with very un-vanilla content. Fan-made or sponsored creations, like how Bedrock has featured servers on their multiplayer tab.

The firefly logic is dumb, like how they say they can't add sharks cause then they'd be encouraging people to punch sharks... coulda added fireflies, and flies and judt have them bot eat the fireflies... makes more sense than...idk sending the frogs to hell to log them in a box and make them eat lava!

No kid is gonna try and feed frogs fire flies, such a weak reason to remove it. I mean even if you had a pet front and were a child, I don’t think I would do it just because I saw it in Minecraft.
The skin of the pet should change from the name tag, like "my cute cat (01)" changed the skin of the cat without the numbers showing up with the name
