Resident Evil 4 has four antagonists throughout the main game. They are: Osmond Sandler as the primary antagonist and the main antagonist of chapter 5. Jack Krauser as one of the secondary antagonists. Roman Salazar as one of the secondary antagonists and the main antagonist of chapter 3 and chapter 4. Chief Menendez as the third antagonist and the main antagonist of chapter 1 and chapter 2.
Villager: "I'm not taking the shot! What're you gonna do? Kill me!?" Bitores: "No. Via the other villagers, I'm going to subject you to peer pressure and shame until you give in." Villager: "Ah... mierda!"
We actually got a little nod to Mendez in Resident Evil 2 Remake - new Mr. X coat it looks like it was inspired by Mendez coat, just different colors. Plus it’s obvious that Mendez was a reference to Mr. X or any Tyrant-type enemy.
Well, successful Dominant Plaga hosts are better than any Tyrants, since not only they have the power of one but also completely maintain their human mind and free will. Plaga is just generally superior to any other viral agent in the whole series, Los illuminados wouldn’t consider them divine for no reason.
I'm replaying the game for the first time in several years, I just went through his boss fight on Pro mode the other night and didn't use a launcher on the second form for the first time in a long time. Made it so much more tense but also a lot more fun. No matter how many times I do that segment it will always creep me out. The music combined with the way he just kind of lumbers around only to suddenly lunge at you is just unsettling.
You were right, pretty much. Not quite though, successfull Dominant Plaga hosts are superior to any tyrants due to not only having incredible physical strength and capabilities but also maintaining their mind and free will, completely.
Presumably yes, I say this because of the letters he writes. Only people with cognitive thought would be able to write specific letters. Also at one point he writes about not trusting saddler, only people who have a dominant plaga would be able to doubt saddler, since saddler controls all of the "mindless" ones.
@@bombthing I think Mendez trusted Saddler... But not COMPLETELY... He could still be confused by Saddler's more questionable decisions, but not actually queation them to his FACE... Or disobey him on an overtly obvious scale.
“He was originally a Catholic Priest” I know the Wiki says this, but the game never in any way substantiates this. Where is the source from the actual game?
It's been quite a while since I did these videos, but I believe it's stated in the Biohazard 4 Incubate book which basically gives the story of how the village became part of the Los Illuminados.
I don't know why but he is actually one of my favorite video game villians.
He's very interesting

He’s the Tyrant in RE4
He’s better than one. Tyrants don’t speak and they’re deprived of their human mind and free will, unlike Bitores or any other Dominant Plaga host.
Tyant evolution!!!
Nah, just kinda looks like one
Not really because he is such a. Small part in the game and you only fight him once
@Calvin Tijares In raw power/sheer strength yes, in all other aspects they're way inferior
Who is Bitores Mendez? He’s the Big Cheese.
His appearances make him feel extra solid, like an effective bruiser type, but his boss fight kinda subverts that expectation though.

Mendez fit the bill perfectly as final boss .
Looks like some type of tyrant. He has the power of one😂💯

Señor Bitores Mendez is El Jefe, despite looking like a Spanish version of Grigori Rasputin and being just as hard to kill.

I thought he was a upgraded version of a tyrant 😂

"Bitores Mendez was proba'bly born in The Village The Village." smdh
The Spanish Undertaker, of course.
Didn't Mendez get a control plaga?

He did. Bitores was endowed with the Dominant Plaga strain by Lord Saddler himself.
He is Santa Claus 🎅
Let’s just talk about how he would have absolutely killed Leon in the barn if he didn’t turn into his Las Plagas form.

Just released Bitores Mendez own Leon twice, if it wasn't for plot armor Leon would've been dead early in the game.
He looks like Kratos
