- The Kirby™ & The Amazing Mirror game will join to the growing collection of Game Boy Advance games available with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass membership on Sep. 29th!
The Mirror World, which exists in the skies of Dream Land, has been invaded by an evil shadow, and Kirby’s the only one who can save the day. Fortunately, he won’t have to go at it alone. He’s been split into four Kirbys of different colors, and he can call up his colorful clones to lend a hand when needed. Summon Red, Yellow and Green Kirby to help solve puzzles, fight enemies or take out the big baddies. Use copy abilities such as the arrow-shooting Cupid Kirby or the melee master Smash Bros. Kirby while platforming through the mazelike world.

Very few people get to experience the 4-player action back in the GBA days.
If I'm not mistaken, each player can freely explore any area in real-time.

The only drawback was that pausing the game paused for everyone and not just the psrson who pauses I'm guessing this switch version is gonna be exactly the same.

The games releases are still on the slower side but I genuinely really appriciate these well edited trailers that do a good job of showcasing the game as if it were new to modern audiences

And it's entirely on the English side. The Japanese trailers are the standard context-less gameplay video style that the NES, SNES, and Genesis trailers use.

Nobody understands this.....but this has been my SINGLE GREATEST DESIRE ever since I was a little kid playing the OG game back in the day! I've waited for a re-release, ANY re-release of this masterpiece to be able to play with ANYONE around the world or with friends at any time and HERE IT IS!!! THANK YOU NINTENDO for this wonderful gift you've given me!

OH, I understand you completely.
I've been upset these past few months that Nintendo was taking so long releasing this game.
I must have played this over 20 times since my childhood and I could not be more hyped to finally play it multiplayer with the people I love the most.
it got rereleased for the 3ds (ambassador program) and wii u (virtual console)

Honestly the perfect game for the Online service. A GBA classic with 4 player multiplayer that many didn't get to experience due to all the link cables needed. But now ANYONE with a subscription can access, try out and enjoy the multiplayer. Wish it were here sooner but KEEP 'EM COMING!

I'd think they would add the GBA version of A Link to the Past at some point. They've already released the Super Mario Advance series, despite being ports of other available games, so there's a chance.
Otherwise, I'd like to see them bring back the DSi special edition of Four Swords that had extra levels in it.

Honestly one of my favorite Kirby games! Really makes me want the expansion pack now.
It is totally worth it dude, they have all the super mario advanced games! Not to mention metroid!

You can play this game on almost anything including your web browser
I remember when people were livid about the expansion pack but it’s really not all that bad. Especially compared to other subscription services. My fiancé only pays about $10 a year while my Crunchyroll subscription is about $100 a year.
yeah if you can get three friends to get in on it with you it's only 30$ a year which is like 2.60 a month. super affordable

I think it would’ve been cool to see this alongside Nightmare in Dreamland given they are pretty similar and have multiplayer (it was also my original childhood game), but Amazing Mirror on its own is a W, I’ll take it. Here’s to hoping we can get Knightmare on here soon
Nightmare in Dreamland is just a remake of Kirby's Adventure on the NES. I know it's not the same, but we can play Kirby's Adventure on NSO so that's something.

This was the first Kirby game I ever played. Love this one! Giving it online multiplier is a big deal.
This is THE most excited I have been for a game release via NSO + Expansion Pack! I’ve been COUNTING the days for its release. This is my favorite childhood game and I have so many fond memories of it. The backgrounds are beautiful, the number of copy abilities for a handheld game of its time is impressive, and the boss battles are unforgettable. Solid W!

Well I was 8 at the time when it first came out, I didn’t have a GameCube back then just gameboy and I was addicted to it 24/7
Ironic, this is the only Kirby game I haven't beaten.
@@infernoprod8102 I only gave the game a little try as a kid, in my emulator. I was mostly all like, "eh, fricken kids game". But I played it out of boredom and I was NOT disappointed especially once I reached the final boss. Became a Kirby fan ever since.
But I never managed to get the 100% though… 😢😢 I only ever got around 90% and 99% on my latest playthrough.
i bought this on the Wii-U and didn't understand why we couldn't get a pseudo "split-screen" option to play with friends. i'm glad we can now play with others though

Such a good game to put on switch, for those who haven't played it it's got a metroidvania type map that all four players can freely explore, with a button to call the others to your location if they want

For those who don’t know, it was so difficult to play this game multiplayer like this on release, and even MORE so to record it all. This is an incredible addition to the switch bundle and I hope they eventually bring four swords adventure, although it’s unlikely

Holy moly! This game takes me back to my childhood. Early 2000's were a great time to be a kid playing Nintendo games. Now give us Mother 3!!!
This trailer is sick, great to see Amazing Mirror get a re-release, it's a very interesting Kirby game and easy accessibility is what it needed.
Although Kirby never misses a mark with each release, none of them have topped this game's style and concept...

Are there many games with this type of multiplayer mechanic? I can only count five and three of them don't even let you leave the level without your co-op partner

Really looking forward to this as it's one of the few mainline Kirby games I've never played! I hope we get Nightmare in Dreamland before too long. Kirby's Adventure is one of my favorites, but I never played the remake.

Ah, finally! The first Kirby game I have ever played! It's coming to NSO at last!
Seriously, you have no idea how much this game means to me; after being introduced to the pink puffball through Super Smash Bros. Brawl, this would be the first game in the series that I'd actually play, specifically through the 3DS Ambassadors' Program if anyone remembers that was a thing. I will always be grateful to it as a result, and if you want to experience it yourself, be it alone or with friends, this NSO rerelease is your chance to do so if you haven't already!

This might be the best way to play Amazing Mirror, since we can actually play online multi-pak style! This was sorely lacking in the Wii U VC release so having the ability to play multi-player Kirby is nothing short of... well, amazing.

Finally, this is the only GBA game I wanted. The 4 player is amazing. I only ever got to play multiplayer a handfull of times when it first came out but it was one of the best multiplayer experiences I've ever had

Worth playing. this is one of the rare Kirby games where you can play as Smash Kirby while fighting with...familiar moves. The only way to get that power is defeating and swallowing Master Hand or Crazy Hand during a boss fight. What's amazing was that this is what Smash could have looked like on the GBA.

I just think it'd be really cool to have a big Pokemon Scarlet/Violet like map but it's a platformer instead of an RPG where you could just go around doing everything in any order all culminating to the eldritch horror final boss

@golden-gamingmore5931 I'm not sure. Don't meteoidvanias have it where you gain new permanent abilities during your exploration, allowing you to explore more areas? Kirby doesn't acquire any permanent abilities as he progresses. He gains copy abilities, but they're not permanent unless you try to hold onto them through the whole game.
I'm honestly not sure if Amazing Mirror's an MV or OW game.
