Exarch Othaar basically discovers an arcane spell and reduces its cost by two mana. As an added bonus, you also get the other options, also discounted by two mana. Crazy that he thinks Kil’jaeden will see more play than Nobundo. And Ceaseless Expanse in only “B”?! This card is the NUTS literally every control deck is going to play it
AmongUs as a deck is so weird. Like with Dirdra and Glide, there are explosive turns. But I cannot say I that I want to shuffle eight 4 cost dorks into my deck that do nothing separately. So I have to have so much card draw that I can put at least 2 or 3 in play at once.
Uluu is sad cause it has like 2 or 4 amazing options, a bunch of good ones, a ton of 2 or 3 cost cards that fill its pool with weak effects, and the warlock/druid card that is awful for it.
Rogue can get Expanse down on turn 6? Has Rarran been huffing paint? Let's go with an average opponent: Drew 6 cards + 4 extra, played ~1.5 cards per turn (10 cards), and most of those were minions that died. Seems reasonable to me. That's about 30 ticks. Rogue would need to draw/play/lose MORE THAN DOUBLE that number. Something like draw 25 extra cards (+31 from draw), play 30 of those and have some of them be minions that die (realistically, it would be 5-10 minions). Realistically, I'd guess it as a consistent turn 8 play for rogue. Maybe consistently on 7 if you're really built for that. I'd say: You put expanse in your ETC and maybe you pick it if you're in a game that seems like it'll go past turn 10. And maybe it's in every ETC, but certainly not in many actual decks.
Uluuu and Talgath is undervalued. After 4 Turns Uluuu already activates 8 Things. Thats a 6 Mana Yogg with potential more upside but less Boardvipes. That card is a B at least. Also, how does Kiljaden works with Brann? He gets Banned thats how.
Rarran you are completely misunderstanding Kara. It doesnt steal the health and give it to your hero, it steals the health and gives it to ITSELF. You also forgot that Tamsin exists I think
Farseer Nobundo is goated. Mana cheating and Card advantage on the same card is always unbalanced. Card will be in almost Shaman deck until it's rotated. No way is Uluu bad the floor isn't bad and the ceiling is crazy high.
Gorm isn't a D rank? It's a 3 mana do nothing... and when it awakens it still doesn't do anything. And killing your own minions doesn't seem that useful.
Reason why Deathknight's Maladaar is bad> Its a 6 mana get 10 mana, on a condition you USUALLY cant fulfill by turn 6. You have to draw it by turn 6 and have the condition enabled to feel good Otherwise its a free stat stick, in a good world he refreshes 4 mana for 6 mana. Again, thats not good at its core. People say its "MANA CHEATING OMG" but really, its just get something out 2 turns earlier, because realistically, you cant really cast reno on 6, and if it does go that way, it will be a very rare highroll. This card is much worse on its worse days.
This card enables some crazy board swings. The difference between Reno on 10 versus Reno on 6 with a 5-5 is pretty crazy. Even if you are on 10 mana you could play something + this and then Reno and that's so much better than just playing flat reno.
Death knight as a so many low cost minions that are basically just "corpse" buttons. Body Bagger and Murmy come to mind immediately. By turn 3 you have 4 corpses easy. You can play plagued grain for another 4 off rip. We have 8 before turn 6 and that's not really even trying to optimize corpse gain. Then at that point we can play a 6 mana 5/5 AND an 8 mana minion effect on turn six. It seems pretty good no?
So Rarran thinks a "5 mana 6/5: cast Drum Circle" isn't good? Or "5 mana 6/5: Duplicate your hand"? Sure, Umuu can get quite a few bad Choose One effects, but then you just don't play it. Keep it for a turn when it has an amazing one. Yeah it's miserable to top-deck, but you're probably already losing if you're in that situation. I don't think it's nearly as bad as Rarran says. More like a B or C tier card. Not meta defining, not an auto-include, and not something you'd build your deck around... but playable.
You don't need to play Uluu to get the choose one effects since it doesn't say battlecry, it sits in your hand and they just appear on your screen each turn; it's 0 mana infinite value. Turn 1: 2, 2/2s Turn 2: 2 more 2/2s It's insane.
Uluu works by adding the choose one effects onto the card itself, so it doesn't actually do anything until you play it, at which point you choose one from the two random effects you got on uluu that turn(yea the wording kinda weird)
I'm shocked you put Ceaseless Expanse so high. It looks like an easy D tier card to me. You and your opponent have to draw, play, or destroy 90 cards just to make the card playable, and your payoff is a board clear and a 15/15 with no charge, no protection, no way around taunt, and no way to stop your opponent from reestablishing their board. Unless there's a combo I don't know about that cares about it's cost or stats I can't imagine it being played if the format is as fast as you're implying, especially compared to the other cards in B and C tier.
Rogue can play a lot of cards. And things like gaslight gatekeeper just add to it and help with drawing this. If they can get this to 0, they can play it, wipe the board, shadowstep. Now they have another 0 cost board wipe in their hand with more shadowsteps and break dances. If their opponent reestablishes board, they just play it again and shadowstep. Your opponent never gets to establish a board again. It's a similar reason as to why the Yogg titan on release was so busted. I'm not saying this is going to happen, but the potential is there. Any powerful card that can be permanently reduced to 0 mana can break the game. Also not even in rogue, any game that goes long enough, this is just a 0 mana board wipe with a big body. I think every control deck will run it.
TBH I cant force myself into playing the current meta, I like rogue, demon hunter, and death knight. Rogue is dead and demon hunter has only one playable deck which is so boring it makes me puke
All those "aged poorly" compilations gave Big R PTSD, every sentence he says have "my personal opinion", "might see play", etc 😂

It seems pretty good no?
mining casualties and one dreadhound is already 7 corpses by turn 3 you are smoking that pack if you cant get to 8+ corpses by turn 5/6
Mining casualty is 4
Dreadhound is 3
You have a couple 1 drops that are 2
Buccaneer + dreadhound is 7 corpses
It's probably fine
People still play hearthstone?
So Rarran thinks a "5 mana 6/5: cast Drum Circle" isn't good? Or "5 mana 6/5: Duplicate your hand"?
Sure, Umuu can get quite a few bad Choose One effects, but then you just don't play it. Keep it for a turn when it has an amazing one.
Yeah it's miserable to top-deck, but you're probably already losing if you're in that situation.
I don't think it's nearly as bad as Rarran says. More like a B or C tier card. Not meta defining, not an auto-include, and not something you'd build your deck around... but playable.
Sorry I missed the stream yesterday. Was playing Pokemon Go and eating lunch downtown like a weirdo. 😂
You don't need to play Uluu to get the choose one effects since it doesn't say battlecry, it sits in your hand and they just appear on your screen each turn; it's 0 mana infinite value.
Turn 1: 2, 2/2s
Turn 2: 2 more 2/2s
It's insane.
You can see in videos that the card easily gets to 0 at turn 8-9. If optimized, you can cheat it out pretty early it seems like
lumia working for both sides is kinda lame
Crys in warlock main
i really like rarrans, but boy, how i miss trump's way of revieweing cards, so much cleaner and to the point
TBH I cant force myself into playing the current meta, I like rogue, demon hunter, and death knight. Rogue is dead and demon hunter has only one playable deck which is so boring it makes me puke
so i just have fun with excavate rogue
Anyone else shocked just how many terrible legendaries there are this expansion
Big daddy rarran pls coach me
Day 120 of asking Rarran to play Griftlands
That rogue legendary is the most boring class legendary in a while.
I literally just watch these to hear him mispronounce the name of characters.
If you still play plague death knight currently you're either a literal child or a disappointment.
Or free to play ganer from poor country with 1-2 deck per expansion
Let's gooooo
Ka'ara steals the life for itself, not to your hero, right? It's total garbage.
