that’s the difference between a supercharger and a turbo You get instant power now with a supercharger but your limited to your blower drive ratio. turbos on the other hand have turbo lag but the turbo is not limited To gear ratios.once a turbo spool’s up they generally are capable of moving more air then the engine will ever need.that’s why the turbos usually win up top. Kawasaki needs go back to turbo like they started to do back in 1978 with the Z1R turbo and GPZ 750 turbo, the 750 that turned into a 1000 when spooled up🤪 great vid stay safe! keep it “shiny side up”
I guess I just depends on what you want. i’m sure if the H2 in this video was racing the same turbo Busa on a road course and because of the instant power now the supercharger on the H2 gives. The busa will get destroyed. when your on and off the Throttle a lot and you’re waiting for a turbo to spool up every time you come out of the corner you’re going to lose time quick. and I would probably put my money on the H2 in a straight up drag race 1/4 mile. turbos are cool but they require lots of room for all the components. and are much more complex systems to dial-in. combing the two together would be interesting but you’re always faced with the dilemma where do you put all of your components when space is at a premium already on a bike.
tavspop look up Kawasaki Z-1R TC the TC stands for turbo charged. yes they exist. they were one of the first Production turbo bikes developed by Kawasaki back in the 70’s
Stock to stock the h2 would win. But then you're comparing apples to oranges. One's forced induction, one isn't. But when forced induction is added to even things up, the h2 loses easily. There's no replacement for displacement.
Pretty much. ZX-14R are a beast as well, but from what I've read, they aren't as easy to turbo charge and tune as the Hayabusa has been. Plus the Busa engine has been around longer and is proven to be a ultra tough piece.

You do fucking realise there's no way in hell a 600hp busa can drive on the streets. Nor even drive that long with a small tank. My busy has a 346hp busa and it's all purpose built to race but those busa above 450hp alone can't grip for shit of skinny tires

Many ppl have crashed at 300+ kmph and riding gear saved their ass. Maybe few scratches bruises if they just slided. Without gear they would be without fingers, knees to the bone etc. you can imagine. Of course if you hit a wall no riding gear will save you. You either don't ride dude or you are a total squid like these jackasses.
I don't know if you saw, they're on the high way with trees on both sides and road signs. Example, at 0:54 there's a big ass billboard sign. Imagine if they crashed right there and then and hit it. Yup! I'm in the same boat as Warren. I have to fight the bike in 1st & 2nd. I can generally roll it on in 3rd and pull around even 180+ rwhp bikes pretty easy.

Got a couple plans over the winter. Nothing too crazy. The only thing the charger is doing is making it harder to ride the more power you make. It's just so responsive. Very hard to run in the 1/4 mile.

Turbo warren what's your channel bud I've got a turbo busa myself 2001 model got problem with it like to run some photos past ya see what u think is best way to fix basically the cog that comes off the starter motor goes to another one which is like a slave cog where it sits in recess of engine about 10 mm it's cracked which made it wobble which touched inside of casing and cracked it have u heard of this problem no one will touch it to weld
I raced a guy with a claimed 330 hp busa that weighed 60lb's more than I on my h2. I have very similar mods to yours BOOSTEDH2. The results were about the same. My Busa buddy had laggg----, all his boost came on and he fried his rear tire. This resulted in his loss. I agree if turbo Warren would not have lost traction it would have been a lot closer. Obviously the guy with big hp busa is probably one of the best set up turbo street busa's in the country. My hats off to all of you fellas. Makes me wonder what would have happened if you had stage2 or three gears in your h2. I'm sure with a gear change you would still lose to the big hp busa. I did notice it took about ten seconds for the big hp busa to get around you on the first run and on turbo warrens first run it looked like he might have been creeping back into the picture....
Turbo warren didn't lose traction on the first run, he was spinning on the second one. That's the difference between response and spool time. If he didn't lag, it no doubt would have been a close race.
Matts bike (blue gen2) is no joke. It will idle all day like a stock bike or runaway from just about anything. On those passes he was making around 17 psi of boost, the turbo he has will run north of 30lbs. He can ride but you see what a handful these big hp bikes can be. Just think he still has another 200hp to play with and the bike made 306ftlb of torque. He is a super cool guy with a perfectly built busa with a lot of power. Now to the H2 owner nice races man that thing flies. I just find it hard to believe your hp numbers because it moves out like it makes a lot more. I would have figured 260-275 atleast. Turbo Warren has a nice setup as well, when his head gasket failed he was done. Any boost his bike tried to make was getting blown out into the cooling system. If you notice he has some big gearing on that bike which hurts him down low. Glad everyone had fun and stayed safe makes me miss my turbo busa which just sold. I still have the turbo kit a nice big stage 3 race kit with a gt35r so I know how these turbo guys feel it's a rush😊
Thanks man. Yes I made a legit 240whp on a dynojet 250i with 102wtq. Id post my graph right now, but it doesn't allow pics lol. I made 248whp and 106wtq on a higher reading Bazzaz dyno. That same dyno my old 10r made 183whp. The bike is fast for the power it has. I mean it did 8.3 at 170mph on pump with just a brocks stage 2 package and a stretch, stock shock, stock clutch. I think it could have gone 8.20's for sure, but it's hard to launch. Change the charger gears and 175-180mph is possible at say 260-270whp. We had a stage 1 RCC ZX14r making 260whp and 140+ftlbs trap 160mph with the same rider that went 170mph on mine

I have to give props to that H2. that's is a sick bike. that supercharger will always get out the hole faster than a turbo. but once that turbo build up, it's game over.

Why not just add a turbo to a sc engine and compound charge it.

Got a couple plans over the winter. Nothing too crazy. The only thing the charger is doing is making it harder to ride the more power you make. It's just so responsive. Very hard to run in the 1/4 mile.

Turbo warren what's your channel bud I've got a turbo busa myself 2001 model got problem with it like to run some photos past ya see what u think is best way to fix basically the cog that comes off the starter motor goes to another one which is like a slave cog where it sits in recess of engine about 10 mm it's cracked which made it wobble which touched inside of casing and cracked it have u heard of this problem no one will touch it to weld

I raced a guy with a claimed 330 hp busa that weighed 60lb's more than I on my h2. I have very similar mods to yours BOOSTEDH2. The results were about the same. My Busa buddy had laggg----, all his boost came on and he fried his rear tire. This resulted in his loss. I agree if turbo Warren would not have lost traction it would have been a lot closer. Obviously the guy with big hp busa is probably one of the best set up turbo street busa's in the country. My hats off to all of you fellas. Makes me wonder what would have happened if you had stage2 or three gears in your h2. I'm sure with a gear change you would still lose to the big hp busa. I did notice it took about ten seconds for the big hp busa to get around you on the first run and on turbo warrens first run it looked like he might have been creeping back into the picture....
Turbo warren didn't lose traction on the first run, he was spinning on the second one. That's the difference between response and spool time. If he didn't lag, it no doubt would have been a close race.

The turbo kit is from RCC Turbo in Canada, and the bike was built at ricks custom cycle in Michigan
Matts bike (blue gen2) is no joke. It will idle all day like a stock bike or runaway from just about anything. On those passes he was making around 17 psi of boost, the turbo he has will run north of 30lbs. He can ride but you see what a handful these big hp bikes can be. Just think he still has another 200hp to play with and the bike made 306ftlb of torque. He is a super cool guy with a perfectly built busa with a lot of power. Now to the H2 owner nice races man that thing flies. I just find it hard to believe your hp numbers because it moves out like it makes a lot more. I would have figured 260-275 atleast. Turbo Warren has a nice setup as well, when his head gasket failed he was done. Any boost his bike tried to make was getting blown out into the cooling system. If you notice he has some big gearing on that bike which hurts him down low. Glad everyone had fun and stayed safe makes me miss my turbo busa which just sold. I still have the turbo kit a nice big stage 3 race kit with a gt35r so I know how these turbo guys feel it's a rush😊
Thanks man. Yes I made a legit 240whp on a dynojet 250i with 102wtq. Id post my graph right now, but it doesn't allow pics lol. I made 248whp and 106wtq on a higher reading Bazzaz dyno. That same dyno my old 10r made 183whp. The bike is fast for the power it has. I mean it did 8.3 at 170mph on pump with just a brocks stage 2 package and a stretch, stock shock, stock clutch. I think it could have gone 8.20's for sure, but it's hard to launch. Change the charger gears and 175-180mph is possible at say 260-270whp. We had a stage 1 RCC ZX14r making 260whp and 140+ftlbs trap 160mph with the same rider that went 170mph on mine
