People doesn't undestand that Kurt Cobain was not a guitar hero. He was a guitar antiheroe and that's what he wanted to be and that's awesome!.
I love yr comment soooooo muchhhhhhhhhhhhh....................
Exactly!!
Reminds me of Bernard sumner that way.
so, Slash is a Guitar Villain?
He knew he wasn't considered by all other musicians to be a great guitarist at least in the "classical" sense, but that didn't matter, because he was passionate and that overpowered his considered quality on guitar!
Band: Kurt, what key is this in?
Kurt: All of them.
Damn i've been thinking about this question
E# Chromatic Scale
None of them. He didn't know what the fuck a key means except to measure the smack he injected in his diseased veins. A no talent slacker
@@fredhagy7730 i think without knowing formal theory, everybody still using theory
@@fredhagy7730 No talent. Ok let’s see you make an album that goes platinum 5 times and a song that tops freaking Micheal Jackson on the charts
I swear, the solo on sappy is like his best solo he ever did.
Listen to spank thru mate
Marshall Wyatt aero zeppelin
Class of 86
Same with Even In His Youth, Stain, Dive, In Bloom, just a whole bunch of them :) oh yeah The Return of the Rat!!
personally i found the in bloom solo to be the best
He had his own playing style and that's what matters...
MiscetgoesCrafting That's doesn't matter quite enough.
i agree sir! he got his own passion and style. i dont care even they say he is sloppy player
simplenoise Nothing's special about his style. Every hardcore guitarists play like that.
Nothing more than jerking off.
yea due.. i agree about that..but theres something special about kurt. something we can just feel straight away when we hear the song.
Pat join with nivana after kurt died
Kurt doesn't want you to appreciate his guitar playing. All he wants is to express the moods of his generation through his music
That’s the perception of magazine journalism. He never expressed his intentions of doing that.
It's not about showing what you can do people, Its about the music.
But he was really good actually up there with slash
not technically, but music is not a competition, its no question that slash is technically a better guitarist than kurt, but when it comes to the music they both produced, one isnt better than the other because its all subjective
James Giardinazzo Kurt was no better than Slash but he made some really simple but the kinds that will make you feel. Take 'Something in the way' for example.
CrazyMix23 I agree with you.
+CrazyMix23 what!!!!!!!! are u joking .he was no Eddie ,slash,Campbell, via,he sounds like he is in a garage. that's fine if u like him but I have been playing 35 yrs iam 46 I feel he had no guitar talent at all.he is not in the top 25 guitar players at all.he is no Steve Stevens or Carlos from quite riot,Rhodes,oh my god not even close.!!!not half of Paul gilbert or my man Eddie !!
He might not have been the biggest technical master but he really spoke with his guitar. That's something guitar virtuosos should learn from.
I believe he had better skill than people gave him credit for, he just preferred to make simple solos.
TheSquaidsFoundation he couldnt play the simple solos though lol
The solos suited nirvana like if he shredded or just fucked around the pentatonic it wouldn't fit or be boring I like them it's like in classical music when pianos embellish themes for there solos by playing the melody but a little different and more decorated
Right to me it’s not about how well you play that makes you a good guitarist well it is part of it.Its making good solo and rhythms
@@iwannasmell He could play them, look at them on SNL, he just took the piss out of them and made them goofy on purpose. I mean... he played soloes with his foot sometimes. It is sad dumb people can't see this.
He had plenty of skill at exactly what he *needed* to have skill at-- writing great pop punk songs and playing simple, but effective and interesting guitar.

Shredding is pointless, making riffs and solos that you never forget is a accomplishment.
people really need to stop downing shredding. Think about the dimebag, Think about the Zakk Wylde, Think about Ze Love Buzz, Think about hendrix Think about ze Paul Gilbert, Think about excitement, Shredding takes a lot of time and skill to master, Think about complex blues, Think about it. You don't gotta sit there and listen to an hours worth of shredding material, but in a solo Shredding is kickass man, it takes a real master to get it right.
+SubliminalEverything yes but it doesn't matter at all it's all pilotless if the song sucks
Pointless to people that can't do it.
@@wownig It is super easy to do, get a clue. And Cobain could do it, he shredded live a couple of times as a joke. I could shred and play Van Halen soloes when I was 13.
You remember his riffs cuz they're basic, overplayed by thousands of rock bands around the world, nothing original
people who say this guitarist is good or that guitarist is good are totally missing the point of freedom of expression. passion over precision.
facts
he may not be the most skillful guitarist out there, but he has a very strong sense of melody
True, it has a real feeling to it, his voice to any song he can make sound good.

Kurt has been such an inspiration to me playing Guitar - He shows that you do not need to be amazing to sound great! He showed it is about having a Great time!
There's a difference between a "player" and a "writer" Kurt kept it simple on purpose and goofed off half the time playing guitar because he wasn't into music for the machine gun solos, and anyone who says "I can play that song with a blindfold on, it's easy and that band sucks" is incredibly ignorant of the fact that there was also a brilliant vocal melody and interesting lyrics in those songs too :P
ps. there are a lot of guitarist that can shred but not a lot that can write simple guitar riffs like the ones to "Lithium" or "Heart Shaped Box"
I find machine gun solos harder than anything else, you can screw that up and no one will ever know. Play a tune and one wrong note and it’s ruined.
Exactly
@@sxymike12 alright, then how come machine gun solos haven’t made as big of an impact than the solos that Kurt would play? See? It doesn’t just it’s not all about playing it. It’s about WRITING it.
@@footos8511 it’s cuz most people enjoy basic melody driven music. Kurt was great but his solos are just the songs riff with some pedal effects
@@footos8511 you must be 10 years old, because if you had seen what the confuse made a machine gun solos in 70-80s, you would'n spoke so.
Nirvana solos are just copyright from Th Beatles solos, which were in 60s
I think his guitar solos are kind of supposed to be satirical and almost mocking the "rock and roll solo".
No he just sucks
It's a mock and roll solo
Jacob Bassett satirical? Wtf
Nirvana fanbois and they're excuses are getting funnier
Yes it is. Unplugged shows he can just stand still, and do good solo's. But he couldnt stand those rock solo's. Punkrock was and is imo too more interesting.
I'M WORST AT WHAT I DO BEST AND FOR THIS GIFT I FEEL BLESSED
It's funny all the people who say Kurt sucked, " I can play the intro to teen spirit and come as you are, that guy sucks". Can you play the whole songs? Can you play Aero Zeppelin, Hairspray Queen, Beeswax, Endless Nameless, Gallons Of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through The Strip? I highly doubt y'all can lol.?
well endless nameless is easy i can play it all the way through, but i can't play aero zeppelin or hairspray queen for crap
Brian Stutes also breed, with cobain style and move
Brian Stutes yes, in matter of fact, I can
Great comment. I want to see one of these amazing guitar players that bash Cobain play the Spank Thru solo from Roma 91. And I mean play it like he did. Good luck amazing guitar people..
The commenters here who seem to love to point out Kurt's lacking technical guitar playing ability don't seem to understand how music works. Kurt Cobain may not have been a "good" guitar player (the term "good" is an opinionated word and thus isn't a good choice for describing something to other people) but he created sounds that people liked and that's all that really matters. The term "music" isn't based on skill or even whether or not it sounds "good" to someone, and really, is there such a thing as guitar playing skill? You can play guitar anyway you want, there is no wrong way as long as you're getting sound out of it. A guitar player having skill is based on one's own idea of what skill is. Think about it.
Except that he was sloppy as hell and even though he was a great song writer his "soloing" skills were poor... And by that I mean that most of the time he wasn't able to play what he initially intended to..in that exact moment... by improvising...
You do realize you just used the word "skills", don't you?
Yep. As a guitarist I know why "skill" is needed or why practicing is needed for good (better) guitar playing. Your hand muscles need time to develop so you would be able to play faster, more accurate and with a lot more emotion. Once again, his songs were great! His songs harmony is great but it's lacking in melody. He wasn't bad in terms that he couldn't play the guitar, he just couldn't improvise. There are ZERO improvisational songs by Nirvana. They created good but fairly simple music. It's like saying Bob Dylan is a great guitar player just because he wrote a bunch of good songs. There's a difference between a guitar player and a guitar virtuoso. It's one thing to compose music, and it's a completely another thing to play what you feel, to create music at the moment of playing. Kurt's solos were weak and pretty repetitive. They aren't solos, they are, as you said sounds or effects. He isn't playing what he feels at that moment, he's just trying to "add some flavor" to the song. All that can sound good, but you can't really call that improvisation. Other than those "effects" he mostly plays just chords of any particular song they were playing.
I never said I thought he was a good guitar player, in fact I said the opposite of that. My point was that what Kurt Cobain played was music, and that it doesn't take a lot of what people consider to be skill to make something that qualifies as music. There are many people who listen to music and don't play an instrument so they probably don't exactly know if something is challenging to play or not, the reason they like it is because they like the sound. I play guitar as well and I realize that it does require your definition of skill to play with feeling, (I can't necessarily do that, but I can fake it, as in I can make it have that sound and not feel the emotions) but really, that kind of playing with feeling doesn't quite apply to this genre of music, this isn't blues and when most people say play with feeling they mean to play in a bluesy fashion. When I play punk rock-type riffs I usually hit the strings harder than usual because I'm getting into the music, "feeling" it, if you will. If the feeling of a song is anger, shouldn't hitting the strings harder count as "playing with feeling"? Feelings (aka emotions) come in a wide variety so I don't see why one couldn't play with a feeling that wouldn't cause the player to contort their faces like Stevie Ray Vaughn. In the sense of actual emotions like I just described, Kurt played with plenty of feeling. Go look up a live performance of "Breed" and tell me that the "solo" in that song doesn't fit with the feeling of that song. It has a crazy kind of feeling and when Kurt gets down on the floor and starts making all that noise it sounds like it fits perfectly with the mood set up by the song. Anyways... as stated before, guitar playing skill is based on what one's own idea of skill is. I personally don't care for a lot of the guitar players that people consider to be the most skilled (for example, there's Steve Vai, Joe Satriani or Eddie Van Halen) because I don't think their music sounds good, however I do think Nirvana's music sounds good and that's the entire point, it sounds good to people and that is all that matters.
well... yeah... that's kinda what I thought in the first place, and yeah blues is the most "emotional" kind of playing, but you can play emotionally to any kind of music (Jimmy Page played emotionally always even though he played heavy metal, and so did Chuck Schuldiner and he played death metal).. but anyway we just agreed that kurt wasn't such a great player and that's it. His music was great, his playing so-so... And playing good is "skillful" playing, but playing something that "sounds good" is something different. Skillful playing isn't opinionated (to be able to play skillful you need years and years of practice), but if the player sounds good or not that's is opinionated and on that part I agree.
I think Kurt plays awesome guitar.
+Lueeze C Of course he does! He even developed the prototype blueprints of his own Jag-Stang idea for Fender just 3 months before he shot himself.
I am learning some of his guitar stuff at the moment. Thanks for the information, always nice to have an informative conversation.
No problem, I would of killed to see him preform live with that guitar! I'm a huge fan haha, I so happen to be lucky and live extremely close to his Carnation property back in the woods near Tolt Highlands, where Kurt and Courtney spent times almost reclused either slamming heroin or to spend with their newborn Frances. I've seen a picture of him sitting in the living room of his cabin, presenting a kitten to baby Frances when she's in her crib with a background of a dense forest through a window. Man.... It's just absolutely fucking beautiful back here in the woods of Carnation! I mean the main reason we bought our property back here is pretty much the same for why Kurt and Courtney did in June of 1992... To Get Away From All The Calamity and Drama That Happens Daily In Seattle... Hahah! But in the end, Nirvana's always been a huge staple (music and personality wise), to all my friends and I growing up in the Snoqualmie Valley. Not to mention all the countless others who have an outstanding appreciation for the Seattle music scene and the State of Washington itself!
he does play great guitar but since hes not a fucking jimmpy page theres people who think he delivers poor guitar performances
people dont understand the mainstream came to Nirvana they didnt want to be a super big popular group they just wanted to play great music which they did! But since they became so popular even without the goal of it because everyone loved them people still hate on him cause hes not some shred legend or a jimi hendrix.
The ignorance in this comment section
+The Walrus Try arguing with the people here, I dare you, the ignorance gets 10 times as bad.
+Dan Butler exactly correct people dont understand kurt didnt want to be the most famous or popular group or make the top charts he just wanted to play great music, more people need to read the books about him or watch interviwes and doctumentaries before they start hating on him.
+Gavin Alvarado no one is hating on Kurt we are giving you a completely fair criticism of his ability to play the guitar. Matter of fact Kurt was known to hate on different types of music like the red hot chili peppers, and any thing slightly hair metal with high tempo lead playing. So please you can be a fan of his but just understand that he wasn't the best guitarist.
+Dan Butler I never said he was shit you are putting words in my mouth, and I have 10 years of guitar playing experience backing what I am saying up he was a mediocre guitarists sorry it hurts your fanboy feelings. By the way just because we disagree doesn't mean I am ill informed.
+Dan Butler He used to mockingly play funk riffs and state white boy funk sucks, back when RHCP was a funk band there is a clip of it on youtube. He put other peoples music down routinely.
There are generally two types of musicians: those who focus on playing their instrument, and those who focus on songwriting. The idea is to use your instrument as a means for creating songs and sounds, not to be technically amazing. Since he chose to focus on the art of songwriting, he clearly never bothered to put much effort into his lead guitar parts and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that
and then there is Frusciante
Badro29 lol there's always an exception
Actually there are 3 types: Those who focus on both playing their instruments and on songwriting

James Hetfield No he's mocking the metal retards who think playing fast is musical. It's masturbating on guitar.
RebelThoughts82 no he's just sucking ass at guitar, if you think playing fast isn't musical look at john petrucci, then tell me the same
James Hetfield LOL John Petrucci? Can you pick a more soul less guitar player? That loser plays with ZERO feel. It's all technical garbage.
RebelThoughts82 I'd have to agree, Guitar players like hendrix, James Iha, and especially John Frusciante are full of soul in their playing, John Petrucci is garbage. Sure kurt wasn't the most advanced or technical player but he sure did put his soul into it, fuck all the shredders that get praised for looking cool.
3:57 and 4:20 DAMN! Why the hell didn’t he do that more often? That was cool! I especially love he solo he took at the very end on a different song. He never showed off. He just never usually felt like it. I guess he just wanted to that day. Man I love it when he plays what he wants. I knew he could he do that. I’m just happy that he did! I love you Kurt.
😂 3:58 It sounded bad Kurt was making fun of Eddie Van Halen who was backstage because he made racist comments about Pat Smear so Kurt did that so he can make fun of shredding

I think there are two main ways of creating guitar solos... One is focusing on the solo as the main thing, sometimes building the song to the "climax", which can be the guitar solo; and the other is building a good, catchy song and using the solo as a way of giving more power to this song by understanding its value. The second one is the way I think Kurt really mastered. Most lead parts in Nirvana's catalogue are based on highlight the base harmony/chords of noisy yet extremely catchy songs, made with pop sensibility - even when, ironically, attacking the so called "pop".
Kurt was just the coolest, the amount of pure passion and emotion he puts into the even the simplest solos is incredible to watch
Так красиво 🥺

Kurt Cobain was in fact a very tight guitar player. make no mistake about that.
He is perfect!
No era un virtuoso de la guitarra, pero era un genio. Gracias Kurt x haber existido
To sum up the comment section, ITS NOT ABOUT HOW FAST OR SLOW YOU PLAY ITS ABOUT THE MUSIC AND THE SOUL IN IT, NOT TECHNICALITY BUT HEART.
I'm not saying this because like many others I love Nirvana but genuinely as a guitar player I do not think that Kurt was as bad as people say. Nirvana and more specifically Kurt was strictly all about the melody. I just think that most of all he liked simplicity in music. He's a good guitar player in a different sense, he managed to squeeze a lot out of simple major and minor chords.
Kurt was out of this world rip one of my childhood heros
I wish I could still see him perform live. Plus imagine the camera quality today it would be awesome to here them!!!
For all the people that say he was a bad guitarist, Steve Vai disagrees with you
커트코베인은 정말 과소평가된 기타리스트입니다.(Kurt Cobain is a really underrated guitarist.)
Thanks for this awesomeness❤
Cobain never tried or wanted to be a virtuoso, so stop criticizing him for not being one. He has many punk rock influences, and his playing shows it. He's not trying to impress anyone by playing technically sound passages, but he's trying to destroy the idea of it using his anti-solos.
+mahlerite If that's the case, then I suggest not to look up to Kurt. If he never tried or wanted to be better at guitar, or in life, then why look up to him? Someone who actually cares would want to be and actually try to do better. In that case, he just seems to be really childish and really full of himself. Why does everyone make excuses for his terrible live solos? If he's not trying to impress anyone, then why didn't he just play simple solos? To fuck up the song by trying to play fast and sounding terrible to try to come off as an "anti-hero" is absolutely pathetic, and unprofessional, I bet some people in the crowd never wanted to go to another Nirvana show after seeing something like that. I don't see why nobody should criticize Kurt for not being a virtuoso, but everyone else seems to have the right to criticize actual guitar virtuosos(who spent years of practice, for hours a day, and gave their full potential to better themselves as guitar players), mainly by bashing them for being able to play fast, but back it up with the pathetic excuse that "playing fast has no feel", which isn't true, by the way, it's just something to feed the egos of those who can't play fast. In reality, feeling has no limit to how fast you play, or what techniques, modes, etc., that you use.
+Jack Finn Because he was a genius. I can admire his special talents without necessarily admiring his "drive" or whatever you want to call it. Besides, him not caring from your view is not his own view, nor is it my view of him. He actually did care, but not the way many people do. He cared about his music and was very passionate. This can be seen in his explosive performances, heard in his screams, and read in his writings. The man is a legend for many, but not a legend for all.
@@quietcrowd FUCKING EXACTLY
Amazing guitarist.. not for his technical ability (it's clear he is not highly skilled) but for his individual expression. In my opinion the highest level of musicianship is having your own unique "voice" with your instrument which KC had in spades along with the ability to create memorable melodies.
Kurt isn't a "skilled guitarist" by any means, he was really just playing what he felt. The stronger understanding you hold over that concept, the more his music, solos, or whatever you're analyzing will make sense. The reason he was in that "top 100 guitarist list" is because the dude had style and a unique artistic vision. Regardless of how you feel about Kurt's technical abilities, it's hard to deny that Nirvana had some kick ass, unconventional riffs
jhdb446 Kurt wrote the best hooks almost beatlesque. I sing and play guitar i'd like to hear some of these critics on this thread sing and play teen spirit or all apologies. Fk you Kurt was great.
Vivian Volta Teen Spirit is the kind of song kids learn at school when first learning the guitar... The fuck are you talking about? If these critics on UA-cam ever went to a musical school, they most definitely can sing Teen Spirit without much trouble, except for timbre, of course. Playing it, on the other hand, doesn't require skill at all. You could teach a non-musician to learn it within a couple of weeks, providing he has a solid sense of rhythm.
As for the first sentence, I'll just stare silently due to sheer stupidity of that statement.
Lovely to see him sitting and playing along with a featured cello
Absolutely love this.
To me, honestly I think he plays a simple solo that goes along or the vibe of the song. For example, in about of girl. the solo is so simple but it goes extremely well with the song.
Got to say I really like his style of playing, messy as it may be
30 years without you kurt
Kurt cobain had a style of guitar playing that was not only influential because of talent but because he invented his own unique style of playing🖤 there will never be another r.i.p my hero
Kurt was not a flashy guitarist, he was raw and powerful and most of all.. HE DINT GIVE A FUCK! that's as punk as you can get for the era he belonged to. Don't compare him, he was unique in his own way.
serve the servants solo is definitely the best solo he wrote
his sound is so powerful, there's an energy to his playing which is indescribable. I a massive fan of Satriani and Vai and understand the guitar snobbery against him but at the same time I can't deny how damn good he was - he just caught the moment with the instrument.
Kurts solos are gnarly Man!
kurt was such an underated guitarist. .....rip kurt
Are you kidding me? His guitar playing was that great.
+daniel navarro Underrated? Absolutely not. His technical abilities were very poor, but he was praised by many for his songs, and for some reason, his guitar playing. You can look up to him as a hero, that's fine, but, I wouldn't recommend it, because honestly, he wasn't that great of a guitar player, or as a person.
+Dan Butler I was born a year after he died, so no, I didn't know him personally, but I have watched interviews of him, and he comes off as a childish asshole sometimes, especially when talking about other musicians. He was quite open about his drug abuse, and throughout his life, even as a teenager, he was doing some pretty serious drugs that could've killed him much sooner, and last, but not least, it's quite well-known that he died from shooting himself(after watching Soaked In Bleach, I'm not so sure, though). Sure, he made good songs, but a lot of his improvised solos were quite embarrassing, nothing to really drool over, sorry, but you have to face the truth, he was a good songwriter, but a terrible lead guitarist, I have nothing against him, though.
+Jack Finn Yeah i agree he was an asshole, like when Axl asked him to tour with them, Kurt gave him shit. Then Axl gave him shit back, but apparently, it was all Axl's fault. Kurt did have a really rough life though.
+Dan Butler There is no excuse to purposefully play like shit in front of, literally, THOUSANDS of people, and not to mention being on heavy drugs while playing live. Those people paid for tickets, which were probably expensive, and came to see him perform, and he gives a show that disappointed some of the crowd. He was doing drugs because Aberdeen is a shit hole and there's nothing to do there? Wow, I've never heard of that, that's a new level of pathetic. He couldn't make plans with friends to go somewhere other than Aberdeen? I live in Virginia, and the city I live in is rich with history, but barely has anything to do(the downtown area is nice, though), but I'm not on drugs, I don't drink, and I don't smoke. Instead, I make plans with friends to go to Richmond or up north(mainly the Springfield area, where Dave Grohl grew up, and where I used to live), usually to go to shows. My point in that is, there's always something you can do, doing nothing and moping about it will result in nothing, and doing drugs will do nothing as well, in fact, it would make things worse. Sure, artists will have opinions on other artists, but it depends on what they say, and sometimes, they could come off as real pricks, and that includes Kurt. I understand he had depression, I've known that since I was a teenager, but after watching "Soaked In Bleach" recently, I'm not so sure if he was suicidal(I was bored one night and came across it), but that isn't an excuse for being an asshole and using heavy drugs, that would just make things worse. I actually do know a lot about the guy, and looking back on those facts about him, he really is kind of pathetic.
Kurt is like Bernard sumner. He’s no virtuoso or guitar hero. He’s just a great musician with his own distinctive style that serves the song perfectly. It doesn’t have to be guitar playing that blows your socks off with technical skill. Music isn’t all about skill. It has to have feeling and life to it.
The solo from the drain you demo is amazing
THE BEST ARTIST I`VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE !!!!!!!
Frustration at 3:58 that "yes i can play solos, yes i am like kirk hammit and dave murray"
Naveen Kumar Mavi it's sloppy, he was no where near Kirk or Dave's technical ability
Dave doesn't do that. All Maiden solos are tasteful and well used, never needlessly over the top. Just listen to Powerslave, the first solo is Dave's.
i think all the people on here dissing Kurts' live guitar playing are totally missing the point of what he was doing, just have a look/listen to Unplugged, Kurt had a touch most guitarists would give their left nut for ( or left tit for girls ), i like to think of Kurts' live playing as sublime sonic vandalism, RIP Kurt Cobain.
This guy is hardly even good. There are SO MANY artists who play better than he does. His playing is muddy, muddled and very average. I hear playing this good at the local bar.
ID Hunter
like i said "your missing the point" Kurt could play beautifully when he wanted to.
You were mostly hearing Pat Smear on guitar during the Unplugged performance.
D Hawkins
its true Pat played Unplugged but the majority of the playing was Kurt, you can see it but more importantly hear it's Kurt playing, Pats role was to double up on rhythm parts, the sound of Kurts' Martin D-18E using the Bartolini pick-up instead of the d'armonds fitted on it originally sounds much better than Pats Buck Owens model, so im afraid your wrong on this one my friend, just like myself on too many ocassions LOL, RIP Kurt, Peace.
"A touch most guitarists would give their left nut for". Lol. I've heard Unplugged in New York. It sounds like he doesn't even have the strength to push down the strings.
love his guitar solos, more
Kurt was great to write the songs
3:57 LMAO
One of my top favorite guitarists. Long live Kurt Cobain🎸 🎸 🎸
Pablo Picasso painted classical style paintings as a child just as Cobain could emulate Jimmy Page as a teen. They both ended up doing their own thing. And thank God they did.
This gives me goosebumps
Rip Kurt
Kurt Cobain is actually good guitarist. No one imitates that sounds perfectly
He was most likely a virtuoso guitarist in songs like Blew, Aero Zeppelin, Smells Like Teen Spirit and Love Buzz.
Tf
It's impressive to someone who doesn't play guitar but to someone who does play guitar, it's not even mediocre.
you jealous?
amazing
I used to hold my breath when he began to play a solo . if he had not killed himself , he probably would have killed me
yeah!! there's a a lot o "wrong" with his solos..specially when Alive.
Marcus Viggo dude i love kurt but this comment is awesome lol
Do that but with a Steve Vai song
Nathaniel Birthurth this dude would've already been dead if he'd seen the scentless solo that's like 7 minutes long
Bruh, so the dudes not fucking Hendrix. It doesn't matter it's music. If people like it then they like it. It doesn't matter how much skill the artist has.
🎸R.I.P.Kurt Cobain🎸🎤
i like the in bloom solo
look at his face when does that haha
Authenticity at it's finest
Whatever anyone says he was the total package. His views his thoughts his music his lyrics his style etc.. legend
i always liked Kurts playing it was raw imperfect and straight from the heart and i think if he would have lived he would have gotten amazing
He was a fantastic player. All his songs were awesome. I was 14 when he left, next month I'll be 40. The 'Come As You Are' riff was the first thing I learned (incorrectly) I play alsorts of a mish mash of styles now but I can still appreciate this. I've been playing almost as long as he was alive and he has always been inspiring with his style of playing. The first solo I created was inspired by the 'School' solo. I loved heard the odd squeaks and groans from his playing on bootleg recordings
Anything from Bleach shows how good a guitarist Kurt was
yes . Just . yes.
