Awesome! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 As a sewer myself, I would definitely recommend thread being kept in drawer. Dusty thread messes the machines. Also any light on the cones can cause fading. Envious of the set up. Also a niche market is custom embroidery of school jackets. Definitely put together some flyers for that and get them out to parents and organization booster groups. ❤
My husband and I used to own a screen print and embroidery business. It was so fun! He did all of the digitized artwork and ran the machines and I did front of house. We had a Brother 6 head 12 color machine and a 4 head 6 color cap machine. Tip : we used magic sizing to remove the hoop ring on the clothes. Just spray it on and that’s it. And get a good pair of pinch scissors. BEWARE of the little league parents. They get way to serious about their little kids getting a major league uniforms. Lol
Blessings to this new business venture! I really like the new table you built; building, measuring and making things seems to be one of your gifts! enjoy!🌟💚
@@andreadingmann6762I don’t do embroidery. I was just commenting that there is a lot of accessories needed! I got into CNCing and there’s a lot needed there too!
Thanks buddy. Fixing to buy my Smartstitch 15 needles machine and watching your channel to see what all I need. I am not new to embroidery but new to 15 needle machines. Thanks for all your videos
I love the Sam Craft Shop! I especially like how the machine is the star and all the hoops surround it and I need to get me one of those tool boxes. Do you know if they come in white by chance? Thanks for sharing!
A buddy and I used the craftsman tool boxes for a workbench as well but we built the countertop directly on top of the boxes. We bolted the two boxes together and it was a real sturdy workbench.
Nice table, Ikea set up and black cabinet. So neat and clean. Am interested in purchasing 2 embroidered hats, black in color. Where do I order them from?
My wife’s embroidery thread might all fit into your Craftsman drawers! And she just does it for a hobby. You are gonna need another one for a commercial business!
I was hired at an embroidery shop about a year ago. The place Im at is so disorganized it drives me nuts. Youve got a good thing going on and I wish you the ultimate success Sam!
Sam the shop is looking great. We were looking at pegboard for the craft room and then locking hooks, but now my wife wants me to look at. IKEA and see what colors they have. She makes wreaths and her Cricut mats and stuff. I see you have switched or are in process to switch to Milwaukee tools. I guess I’m a die hard Ryobi user and I have way too many tools in Ryobi to switch now anyway. Lol. Best of luck with this embroidery venture, I have 100% faith in you
Love your setup! Wish I could convince my husband to build a work area as nice as yours…I can’t stand clutter and dislike wasting time searching for something. Best wishes on your embroidery journey!
Looks great! I built a cutting table where the sides go down. I'm not a builder but is not too bad. Cheaper to build yourself than the expensive desks they sell.
Can I recommend that however you display your thread, you cover it with something? People LOVE having their thread out so they can see it, but you're not going to use most of it most of the time. It'll get dusty or light damaged which is NOT great for your machine. Mine is in totes with a clear lid. Adding: Counter height surge protector? YES! This does not occur to many crafters I know.
Hahaha oh man... I've been there!!! I honestly think this is the first time I've ever had any sort of organization systems in a workshop in the 6 years of being self employed with it... why did I wait so long?! :)
I do some fundraising for the Giraffe Conservation Foundation through my Facebook groups. My mind goes bonkers thinking of items that you might be able to make. Engraved slate coasters and wooden spoons are still on my list, as well as wooden ornaments.... now on to embroidery items... wow! You can engrave on acrylic? Of course, your garden ID spikes are acrylic?
Oh the possibilities! :) Yes, I am able to engrave on acrylic as well as any other material (metal, glass, acrylic, flexible plastics, composites, organic materials, etc.)
Embroidery is definitely a slippery slope. Maybe because it’s very challenging to master, and you get to buy a bunch of cool tooling to increase your productivity.
Agree with the SKADIS boards, but Dude, you have lasers. You could make those boards for the cost of the scrap you have laying around. They are not cheap. You can 3D print a million different containers.
I enjoyed this video and ordered some peg boards based on your recommendation. I'm just kidding! I bought them because I wanted to. I was going to do a road trip to IKEA in KC so that I could see them first but for $10 shipping, I couldn't drive there for that. I will use them in my shop or if I don't like them, I'll put them somewhere else. I have been following you since I first discovered you when looking up Shapeoko videos. I did buy one because of your video and a few others and have had no regrets. I love my machine. Also, I am happy that you have finally got the the shop that you deserve. One question I do have, do you try to cut most of your lumber outside of the shop? I know you have dust collection but my guess is that the saw dust wouldn't be that great on some of your equipment. Anyway, the new shop is looking great! Congrats!
Looks great! Not to be mean or give a bad review. I would keep my thread in a drawer to keep dust off of them. I would hate for you to have problems with your machine due to dust issues on the thread. 😊 I want nothing more than success for you and your business! Good luck!
Sam, you certainly are getting deeper into the embroidery way of life. My only concern is that when you use your tool's in your workshop will the embroidery setup be covered in dust or even sawdust 🤔. As always brother 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
I don't use any woodworking tools in my shop anymore. I've really converted away from doing traditional woodwork or sanding in here. Cutting can be done under the carport right beside the shop as needed and/or in the old workshop. :)

I always love seeing how people organize their workspaces. I love how clean and balanced your work area looks!
Thank you so much!

A lot of accessories needed for embroidery!
What kind of items do you have for your embroidery space?

Hey Sam, how do I reach you to get pricing on some embroidered patches?

Looks very nice. Unless I have somehow missed it there doesn't seem to have been a soap making programme lately - would like to see one of those.

Watching this while my workshop is in shambles mumbling "I need some pegboards now" 😅

I’m thinking to buy a Bai machine or a smartstitch, in your opinion, which one will be better
Wow Sam way cool set up!
Can you mention the exact mighty Hoops you have? I looked at your link, and there are too many options
What size might hoops have you purchased and what kind of hoops have you kept from smartstich?
What's down the hall behind you? Does that connect to another shed?
Where is your oil can from and is it any good?
You need more colors thats for sure
Super cute Sam
Are you ever going to get anything going again with your Shapeoko Pro XXL? 🤔
Fun!!!!
@samcraft do you have a link to that hat your wearing???
I designed and embroidered it myself. Send me an email and I'll give you some details on it.
