Hey there, if you are considering buying this bike, then probably this is the video you were looking for about the negative things I can say as the owner of this bike.
If you want to hear about positive things I have to say about this bike, then make sure to check the video below:
• Watch this if you want...
Thank you for watching and hope it was helpful to you!
🛒 If you’re considering buying this bike, and want to hear something positive then make sure to check the video about positives below:
- ✅ Positives: ua-cam.com/video/qPg8mkXIRdE/v-deo.html
The key on the side is just a cruiser thing, it's traditional
In times where all motorcycle "influencers" are afraid to post any negative review, your video is priceless. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughs on this bike.
This one is the most usefull video about this bike among the several ones I have watched. Thanks for it!
Just bought one after having a Vulcan Nomad (1700cc). The ride is bum-numbing. You will need an air or gel seat. Suspension is almost non-existent. But it's nimble and looks cool. Gears are a bit clunky. I like that is has a belt drive. The instrumentation is very good.
Thanks! I really like this bike and can not wait to for it to get to a dealer near me.
6:35 this gap it's actually appealing for lots of people that like cruisers, just take look to custom cruiser bikes, it's designed that way searching this look
Maybe it's my perfectionism in some things 😅
Finally a really useful video! Thanks!
Very good critique. Thank you 👍
Fantastic reveiw. Been having trouble making up my mind on what to get, but can't really see any negative.
Thank you 🙏 Go for it!
Thanks for this! Been looking for things to watch out for before buying and this is the only video i can find so far. Your critiques are experience-based as an owner and i find most of your notes more of nitpicking. Which i can say, means this is a good buy. 😊
@kris25A I have another video about positives. Just choose whatever positive or negative is for you and the way you are going to ride and go for it ✊️
....TEST RIDE FIRST! See my comments!
Great quality vid from first seconds 👍
Estaba decidido a comprar esta moto, pero después de ver el vídeo si me hizo cambiar de opinión
Thanks a million for your informative video. Best ever i seen and this helped me to decide that i am not buying this bike as i was considering trying this new brand. All i see are raves, but yours is a proper critcism. The key, steering lock and seat opening all being disjointed separately killed it for me. And the slow startup. I need to go fast.
You are welcome🙌but don't judge it with only this video, try to watch the one I made about positives and compare what you can live with and what might be a dealbreaker for you 👌
I definitely love the taking points and critiques! I still want it but I’m glad I know what to look for
It's a great bike for the price, and that was just an honest review of some negatives I noticed-which might not be an issue for many. Trust your gut and go for it. Safe rides!
That's personal preference, but I love how that Master cylinder looks. Always like that look instead of the ones you shown from Yamaha that looks like from a small displacement scooter.
The key on the side? That's a Cruiser/Bobber thing. Tradition.
The gauge display? I think you can't change it because CFMoto is going for that analog-ish feel you get from traditional cruisers.
If these are all to complain about this bike, then this video is actually an endorsement to go buy it. These complaints are what I would call "petty and nit-picking". Thanks for the video. I like the fact that you go straight to the points without long-winded introduction.
Thanks for this, its hard to find videos of them being critical about the bike. Would like to hear what you love about it too but from an owner perspective
You actually just gave me an idea to film a new video over the weekend, thanks a lot 🙏
@@Jameeel also i wish australia got the silver version haha
Vlasnik ovdje pitaj 24. 2000 km
Спасибо за обзор! Жду свой байк в марте 🎉
very nice, very informative, and straight to the point.
It's still a super great bike even with all the imperfections you mentioned. I have one and I can't be happier with it lol
No doubts, but every bike has it's own negatives, this one is not an exception ;)
PS. Also happy with mine
That's why you need a crash bar if you worry to brake the key if u fall😊 im happy with myCL -C
I mean the point of the crash bar is to protect your legs from being crushed by the bike and protect the engine. Crashing your bike is not nice, but would have been nice to get up after and have the key not embeded into the lock 😅
Got one in August. Beautiful looking bike. But don't get one if you value your back! Even with the rear suspension on the softest (and I've bought a lot thicker seat, too!), I find myself riding around manhole covers....the terrible JARRING is THAT bad! (I'm about 145 pounds) The TCS has already stopped working at 420 miles, and I have never SEEN a bike so easy to get dirty, and so difficult to clean! (mine is all black) The front suspension?.....I've seen better suspension on 1970's Jawas! Relatively short legs, gearing-wise, wouldn't recommend it for any serious Touring (too damn uncomfortable, for one!) Good things are looks, and that engine sounds fantastic, even with the stock exhaust! But my God, I wish I'd managed to get a test ride before buying....not ONE YT video mentioned the atrocious damping...or lack, thereof! I've ridden HUNDREDS of motorcycles in my time, and only one ever rivalled the CLC....a 1980 Kawasaki 250 Ltd.....back was sore after only about 10 miles. I've a '96 Intruder 800 that I've had from new....fine, got an Enfield Meteor 350, with forward controls.....fine (now I've swapped the back forks) If you must buy one of these, please don't be like me, and trust testers on the net....have a test ride first...I wish I had done so :(
I use this bike as my main mode of transportation, and even with a large, heavy backpack, my back is perfectly fine. The TCS has worked flawlessly for me so far and has even saved me a few times on the highway. I've only cleaned this bike once, and it wasn’t any harder or easier to clean than other bikes I’ve owned. I also have no complaints about the front suspension-where I ride, even one bad suspension would make me dead or injured. I agree with the idea of testing it first, but I’d also caution against relying too much on a test ride, as many issues won’t show up during the short rides dealerships typically offer. I haven’t owned 100 motorcycles-this is just my sixth-but as a rider, I’d say this bike takes first place for the comfort of its seat.
But that's just my experience with this bike-it's not perfect, but it's not bad either 👀
@@Jameeel Take things as you find them, but when you're swearing when you hit a bump of about an inch or less.....bought it for £4600 in August....my mate's buying it off me for £3000, and I'm sorry to say I'll be glad to see it go. Which is a shame cos as I say, it's a BEAUTIFUL thing to look at! Ride safe.
The side key, separate steering lock, and Allen wrench seat removal are all HD Sportster "features" and considered part of the Harley Davidson "character". So maybe CF Moto has mimicked HD to a fault.
Nice to know, but still don't get it why they would take annoying features instead of good once :D
Nice video man! Very neat to know the cons straight from a real owner and not just a reviewer. I am interested in this bike but was wondering about the seat comfort and the back suspesion feel (for both the rider and a passenger, if you had the chance to take one for a ride)
Thanks and keep it up! ❤
Thanks a lot 🙏 it is super comfortable for me (my height is 180/5.9) and not bad for a passenger as well. I'm actually currently editing positive things about this bike which will be published in a few days, so stay tuned, and hopefully you'll hear lot's of good reasons to get this bike ✌
@ will do for sure! Already subscribed and eager to watch that one soon 🙂
Honestly, USELESS COMPLAINTS. Those are the things you look in a bike BEFORE buying it, so, essentially, you go to the dealer and inspect the bike and ride it BEFORE putting your money on the table, but thanks you, now I know there's nothing major to worry about this bike in case I decide to buy it. To fix your complaints, 1. Add a generic switch in the center of the handlebar, a decent locksmith will make you one that will use your current key, 2. Cover those front bolts with Rubber Frame Sliders, so if you accidentally fall over the key, you won't brake it, nor damage your bike. Have fun and enjoy your motorcycle
Dude, it might be useless to you, but not for many others if you check the comments. I reviewed the bike and clearly stated from the beginning that some negatives might not apply to everyone. Your claim about spotting these negatives after just one ride or inspecting it at a dealership is misleading since most issues with any bike only become apparent after actually owning and riding it for a while. Sure, I know I can modify some of the negatives, but if you eat an undercooked burger, you wouldn’t call it tasty just because it could be better once cooked to your liking. Same idea here-I prefer my 'burger' to already be prepared the way I enjoy it, with all the toppings I love 🍔
the best vehicle reviews always come from the owners and never from the motor journalists👍. The CF is a great motorcycle but what bothers me is the look of the rear fender which hovers so far above the rear tire and the bolted driver's seat is disgusting😆 All in all, you get a lot of motorcycle for little money and the perfect motorcycle doesn't exist in any price range. The 450clc was also on my list, but then I decided on the CF Moto 450MT, which will be delivered in april.
One of the few sane comments under this video 😅 Safe rides🙏
Забыл и сюда лайк поставить, ну и подписочка. Может быть тоже когда нибудь стану владельцем CF Moto
Nice to see a review from a owner! How tall are you and how comfy you find the bike? As we say here, asfalt uscat!
Thanks a lot 🙏 I'm 180cm (5'9) and it's super comfortable
@Jameeel looking forward to test ride it, I'm 184. Definitely top of my shopping list atm.
seat gap = ball eater...no thanks! Really kind of shocked they took the CLX frame and did this to it...I own and ride the 700clx sport and it's an absolute gem of a bike.
Owner here. For me the only real downside is the lack of a space for documents. No other complains at the moment, only personal taste about looking, I like all the things you mention as downside.
Great video bro, so usefull and real, I have never seen that color on the tank, is that the 2025 model?
Thanks a lot 🙏 that's 2024 model, but I believe they added this color after releasing the bike itself because when I was doing research about it I've seen only black and half red all over youtube and on their website
1:06 when i saw how long it took for it to start, my exact thoughts were - bad for running away from zombies = bad for running away from anything. 🤣
@@gulamelaka77 🤣
Good thing for the owner if someone tries to steal it though. 😂
@@kris25A 😅
Does this have true forward controls? Does CFMOTO have their own financing? I have bad credit, even though I make a very good fixed retirement income, I always get rejected when I apply for a $7,000 motorcycle. And these financing companies can make so much money off of me, because I can afford up to $500 a month payments
I'm not sure if I know what is true forward controls and how to check that, and in terms of financing, I believe yes, but every country/deallership will have their own terms and conditions. Well, if you can afford 500$ per month then if you save them every month in just 10 months you can own this bike easily, or even earlier if you find a used one 👌
@@Jameeel Some Chinese onwers say the 450clc handle bar not straight, I thing that is what he saying? But i check a lot onwer review video, I cant see that
Solution:
1. Documents problem. Buy a bag that has a key
2. Space on the seat. For tropical countries, it helps cools your groin
3. Open holes. Theres an after market
4. Oil level in the steering wheel is not for your engine. Its for your brake.
5. Smart phone holder. Aftermarket has one as well.
Nice video. I like it so much. Maybe a subtitle can also be added for the main points.
Cheers!
1. Money
2. Interesting one
3. Money
4. Never said it was for engine
5. Money
Thanks a lot, I'll add subtitles ✌
Good video!
How tall are You? I am 1,85 and wondering if bike would not look small on me.
@@MrSlaists thanks a lot 🙏 I'm 180, so I would assume that 5 cm won't make a huge difference 🤷🏻♂️
....slightly....check out my comments first, please!
thank you for this
Hmm l have a black one, 2024 model and it came with pre installed tbox. Bought in Croatia
Oh, lucky you! I wish mine had one, because it costs around 300 euros or so ;(
The not being able to use the MotoConnect thing to get sat nav on the screen really irritates me, it's advertised as a feature and I really could use it, but nope, won't work & CFMoto don't seem to care.
Also, for some reason I turn on the high beams almost every time I go to use the clutch because the damn switch is positioned weirdly!
Still a nice bike though!
Have you ever experienced the engine going off when on low rpm? Whats the cause if yes
@jaleehlavilla5497 Yes, I did, mainly on uphills, no idea why, but I got used to it and now try to avoid it with slightly more pressure on throttle
Hope its not an engine issue😭 had mine a week ago i enjoy the bike alot!! Hope you change your exhaust so i can hear that 270 crank crack!! love ur vids bro !!
thank for sharing mate, I've been looking for some genuine tradeoffs review. I agree with you on your remarks there, the allan key to get the seat off is retard. also the lagging odometer loading ew... we just want to turn the key and go! I decided not to buy this bike given I can get the Honda Rebel for $1k more.
Glad it was useful, I just saw your comment on the positive video of this bike, so just consider what is really a con for you and if the pro's can outweigh some of them 🙌
Hər şeyi çox yerində qeyd eləmisən.👍👍
Just can't decide if i want this or the bobber version
I believe it all comes down to whether you plan to have a passenger in a feature or not, at the end of the day they are both the same (I believe)
What gloves are they, they look good
gloves look good, but I would not recommend exactly the one on the video as it is the cheap motorcycle gloves from aliexpress
I am agree with that key position that not in good place
That brake cylinder is awful, a nice square one would improve the looks.
How is it for long route riding?
Well, I can only say from my experince which was max 70 km, and it was just fine
@ tnx 🤛🏼
He talks a lot about crashing..."If it slips out of your hands"...wtf?. How long has he been riding, Started last week, first bike?
This is my 6th motorcycle, so it's not even my first couple of years riding bikes, and yes bikes sometimes slip when beginners and even experienced ones loose balance on a traffic light. It never happened to me but internet is full of videos proving of what I just said. And in addition to that bike can slip from your hands for many other reasons that you do not have control over.
Shock absorber at the back is not good, i bought mine for, not even a month the shock is already having an issue not strong enough..
oh, that's bad, I'm lucky then so far no issues 🙄
How is the comfort of your OBR?
OBR?
U should try the shitty Harly sportster system and u will love cfmoto
😅
رهيب 👍🏼
The key location is the biggest and obvious fault of construction!
Cruisers always traditionally have keys there
@chrispekel5709 This a very weak argument. A few years ago all cruisers traditionally used to have the carburetors, chains, tubed tires and analog dashboards. Traditional is not archaic.
Safe riding!
What about d ride itself? Torque, power etc..
I have a completely opposite video about positives of this motorcycle where I talk about power as well ✌
hmm ur new rider ??
my 6th bike, 5 years riding as the main transportation method (not just weekend or summer rides)
An UX nightmare isn't it?
I'd say incomplete 😪
Meh. Too picky.
I feel like you just tried make negative points when they aren't really negative points, like the bolts aren't covered dafuq, space on the seat, keys on the side which other cruiser bikes have, dafuq cringe
I own this bike, there are things I love about it and things I don't which I decided to share with other people, by saying at the beginning of the video that "for some, it may not look like a negative", well you are one of the "some", but if you read comments there enough people to agree with me, so your feeling is wrong 🙄
oil? what¡
@@SuzukiRiderlv426 yes, break oil
@Jameeel tell me you don't know about motorcycles without telling me
@@SuzukiRiderlv426 let me tell you by telling you - I don't. Just know bare minimum to ride that thing from point A to point B 🤷🏻♂️
@Jameeel OK understandable, we all were at that point once, it isn't oil, it's a fluid composed of largely of glycol ether, anticorrosion agents, etc
The first few thing that's about the keys and delay in starting already put me off this bike. No for me, looking at a different bike.
Wait for the video about positives it should be ready this week, there are some good points that may change your mind ✌
