Hi! I just got the chance to sit and watch your video while I do more hand quilting. I hope you have a cheerful week ahead! Thank you for sharing your time and talent.

I loved doing the quilt along a couple months ago and can't wait to try improv.

Can’t wait to see how you approach it. I have done about ten or so. What I do is after each traditional piecing quilt. I take all the left over bits and add just a few colors from my left over cuts. This way I am not overwhelmed . I can challenge myself in a very fun way . I love improve.

Really looking forward to this. Would you talk a little bit about putting color together so it doesn't "wash out". Color selection is the hardest for me. Thanks!

As a perfectionist, I struggle with improv. I am wanting to learn more about improv creations to see if I can expand my creativity. Thank you for this new series - I’m really looking forward to it. Summer will be a great time to “play”. Thanks!

The only thing close to “improv” that I have done and I’m not even sure if this qualifies, is making Jenny Dean’s wonky stars. I do not particularly enjoy making them and tend to rip out and re-sew because I can’t get the cut off fabric to fit in the remaining space. I do not think this would be an issue in improv in general because you are randomly choosing fabrics and are not concerned about fabric placement. This sounds very interesting and something I might opt to try with you.

This sounds exciting. I’m looking forward to learning how to let go of my inhibitions about improv.

    I have problems picking colors.
My guild asked its members to make an improve block for a quilt to donate. They gave us 5 colors to choose from and that helped.

When you do improv do you have a block in mind like a log cabin or a hexagon? Is it just not measuring? It'll be fun to learn how to do improv!

I struggle with composition when attempting improv. I like things that are balanced and I struggle to achieve balance with improv.
