jonah krause: Well, a 'saint' does things others dont;)
The feminine and masculine or chaos and petrification
What's the right amount of femininity? It can not be femininity alone, it needs some masculinity to be harmonious, otherwise it is the destroying power of the dark Cali the indian goddess and wife of Shiva. The same with masculinity, both extremes have to surf somewhere in between to find a healthy balance, femininity more on this, masculinity more on the other side of the middle. The more extreme a feminine or a masculine system, the more extreme ought to be the opposite answer, an unwise procedure only unavoidable when things got wrong drastically.
Therefore I think it is not wise to use chaos as the opposite of order, since chaos has a much more negative flavor than order. Chaos and petrification would be more correct.
      Feminine Masculine
      chaos petrification
      disorder order
      unfixed fixed
      creative concrete
      softness structure
      caring supportive

Dr. Peterson, your spirit animal would definitely be the mongoose. It is not intimidating to look at but is actually very intelligent, clever, fierce, quick-witted and stands its ground when attacked. Oh, and it can kill snakes.

Dr Peterson, I cannot thank you enough for your insight and direction. You are enriching our world. We understand what you say which means we already know this but we don't hear it or respect ourselves enough to believe it alone. Plus we don't have the eloquence or research that you do. So thanks for saying what we already know deep down in a knowledgeable, eloquent, well thought out way so we believe in ourselves. Thank you Sir.

Thank you Dr. Peterson. I am reading your book and working on the Self-Authoring program. I have watched most of your interviews on UA-cam as well. I think your book is one of the best books I've ever read and have had pause several times where I had to take time to cry. A very meaningful book for me personally. You have helped me more than I can express. I am 62 years old and find that I am finally starting to think clearer and I have hope now. Thank you.

Mr. Peterson, I hope there is a chance you will read this comment because this is information I really want you to know. First, thank you for bringing commonsense and intelligence to the forefront of the conversation for ways to live a good life. Second, I watch almost everything you publish online including interviews and most people are so uncivil. They machine gun questions, make stupid assumptions, don’t allow you to answer, and then say you are prickly. Third, there are a lot of people that seem to be jealous of your success, you probably won’t say it but I will. And that is a factor in the venom some interviewers throw your way. Lastly, I am a middle aged black woman and I love you. So many people try to pigeon hole you to appealing to young, white, racist men. And that is just not true!

Dear MR Peterson, Words cannot describe the respect and awe in which I hold a man who can hold such an informed, detailed and articulate view of so many complex and challenging questions. I often find your responses resonate with my own deepest and often unvoiced thoughts and thinking, but more often than not I am staggered by the clarity and simplicity of your insights, NOT that they are simple, far from it, but in the hearing of your discussions there is such a profound honest insight and it fits so easily with so much of what I have learnt and experienced over my own life!! Perhaps easy to say as I deeply believe in apparently almost everything you believe in. I could drone on for hours, I hope and trust you have many grateful responses, so I will just say THANK YOU. I appreciate your time to delve into these issues as I have so little time to work through these on my own!! Thank You, for making my life richer, fuller and more deeply integrated, therefore satisfying!! THANK YOU!!
Might I humbly suggest, you might consider reading or listening to Fr Richard Rohr??

The positive side of chaos is growth.
The feminine dichotomy is chaos and growth; the masculine is tyranny and order. Too much order begets tyranny, and undirected growth begets chaos. The proper instantiation of order tames chaos into a fruitful garden.
The pruning of fruit trees is an excellent example of this, as the chaotic growth of many branches are trimmed to direct the flow of nutrients to areas of importance, but too much pruning can kill the tree.

    • @badmen1550

Putrid_Excrescence Thank you. Chaos isn’t “bad”, it’s a natural process. Out of tyranny comes chaos, then comes growth, then stabilization, then order, then tyranny, etc. etc.

Seems like the proper balanced feminine is something like creativity. Dominance, Order, Creativity, Chaos. As an artist, I have to let my ordering mind lesson in order to even make the first mark on the canvas.
Wisdom is like seeing the whole (chaos) of the world and creatively slotting it into the known.

    • @matthewepperson7060
      @matthewepperson7060 6 років тому +1

“Seeing the whole” is perhaps closer. The masculine forges and fine tunes the specific while the properly balanced feminine sees how the specific fits into the whole.

Annie Simon no, not exactly... More that a decent father and a decent man should be able to give good life advise to their children. It just makes me slightly sad that so many people need to get the advise from JBP due to the huge void so many men have in their lives. My father incidentally was an extremely successful Surgeon and inventor of medical tools in his later life. But an extremely poor role model for his many children.

Thank you for helping encourage me to face the abyss within me and deal with the subconscious damage from abuse. I want to be free and I am taking what you speak, with my Bible and Christianity to face it and work it out.
Thank you, Sir. I cant wait for your next book.

Just occurred to me, JBP has been rescued from the belly of the whale by his daughter Mikhaila.
She struggled immensely when growing up with all sorts of health problems. Through that adversity she discovered how important diet is to her health and wellbeing.
She then used that knowledge to help JBP get out of the depression and health issues he was dealing with and now they’re both doing fantastic.

They saved my life when I was a child, I can't express how grateful I am to have been able to say goodbye to her and thank her for saving my life again. I was able to be strong enough for my grandfather to express his sorrow &, helplessness of watching the love of his life slip away. They where very lucky to have 74 years together.

    Order - Tyranny - masculine
    Harmony - Chaos - feminine
    Order fortifies against Chaos
    Harmony resolves Tyranny
    Order is Tyranny made harmonious
    Harmony is Chaos made orderly
The knight battles the dragon and recovers the maiden

However I miss the good old days when he and his material weren't mainstream and only a few people that were genuinely looking for answers about life were following him. Nowadays there are so many stupid trolls on the comment sections of the videos of- and about him, that all pretend like they are the most brilliant philosophical masterminds of the entire history of mankind and that get all aggressive and insulting when someone slightly disagrees with anything they say.

My husband and I have been on a journey since we first met to confront what we have in common which is what we believed to be a generational curse on all of our families combined. We discussed this idea on our first date 17 years ago in the form of a sense of two old souls who through a force that we did not understand have been preyed upon. Our job as a partnership was obvious from the very beginning. We started our work right away by falling deeply into love. We have so many examples of a spiritual warfare that has taken place around us as we raise our family with the common goal of breaking the chains and we have many stories of victories that we can be proud of that keeps us going.

My dad died 17 years ago and I have had perpetual dreams and nightmares in regards to him. I have confronted him in dreams over and over again and many of them are quite terrifying and/or gruesome. The same thing happens with active imagination. Eventually his face will pop up and its the face of a corpse basically. I have also avoided a LOT in my life and it's been an ongoing struggle to confront regular, mundane existence and deal with my phobia's. I wonder to what degree these two things are connected given what JP said about rescuing our father from the belly of the whale and avoiding confrontation with life. I DO feel like I'm still a boy in many ways trying to become a man, and in the process I've found myself often times overwhelmed by chaos and instability mostly as a result of my own stupid actions or as a result of not having any real order in my life, or guidance, or discipline.

Shreyas Misra I have never proposed nor advocated for "the creation of white homelands" nor have I ever advocated for any "racial" segregation. I practice reason, logos & humility & I have no time for racist ideations.
Zionism is a political movement and a creation of the Rothchilds crime syndicate designed to give legitimacy to their criminal activities.
Displacing the native Palestinian population is obviously a criminal and deplorable act - Jews & Palestinians lived quite happily together before the formation of Israel.
A vast majority of people want to live in peace with each other & the "globalist imperialists" comprise maybe 0.000001% of the population, & I'm no globalist.

My life was disgusting 8 months ago and it's unbelievably upward moving now! Thank you times infinity! ❤️

Gramma DRM ...horrifying isn't it ? Keep reading. I suggest you read it in digestible bites and allow regular hiatus for reflection...it's one hell of a read.
I don't believe it's possible to spoil the ending...it isn't a fictional novel after all...but 'the depravity of Russian rulers' is the very depravity that all rulers are succeptable to by pure dint of being human...our own rulers could be this way if we don't stop them...not to mention that the rulers themselves were a small number. The vast majority of barbarism was enacted by millions of ordinary people.
Solzenitzin's conclusion was that terrible situations like what happened in C20 Russia occur when 'everybody lies, all the time, about everything' .
Solzenitzin spent his time in the gulag attempting to pin point and understand where he, personally was responsible for the tyranny...and by extension each individual who failed to be truthful.
'Deny the evidence of your own eyes and ears' This was the party's final command.
      George Orwell.

For anyone who hasn't read the Gulag Archipelago yet, I recommend reading Ordinary Men first.

I like to walk on the streets and think of Jordan Peterson with anticipation for his upcoming talk in NYC. It puts me into trance, and I'm floating and getting a bit dizzy and silly )) can't wait! Xx

Around 51:20, dressing is discussed and how we ought to act out what we want to become. This is something I take very seriously. I've always struggled with confidence and social issues, have had a hard time having people take me seriously. Admittedly, I still struggle a bit. But, my life started changing when I--no joke--started curling my eyelashes (obviously I'm a lady). It started something. I took an honest look at myself and started dressing in a more sophisticated and studied way. It has transformed how people interact with me, particularly strangers and those I meet for the first time. I also stand quite straight. I dabbled in modeling and became my act. I get treated like a proper lady by strangers, and it seems natural for people to respond to me politely (it might help that I'm quiet). People I'm with note this when I have my "public face" on. I've helped my husband in this area, too. I think it's sad that so many consider dressing well to be uncomfortable, generally unpleasant and that we've mostly given up on it. You don't have to wear a suit or heels every day, but take some care in the details. I recommend that ladies try things like a smooth bun rather than a sloppy topknot with a tee, gentlemen can wear many button up shirts with denim. You're likely to experience something positive from these changes. I strongly believe that everyone has the potential to look somewhat attractive with a little effort.

Jordan, you have changed myself and my wife and enhanced our thinking enormously. PLEASE TAKE A BREAK. I have watched you for several years. There is no urgency (assuming you are not desperate for money, which I assume you are not). There is NO NEED TO PUSH THIS AT THIS RATE. What you have already done will be remembered and be of huge significance for years to come. Please take care of yourself and have a rest. Sincerely, LK. REST! PLEASE!
