When the Comet network here in the US aired this film they cut out this entire scene. What? Did they think no one was paying attention? I'm a guitar player and I know that Hank Marvin is a force to be reckoned with.
I recently watched this film on television and I thought it was great so much better than the 2004 rubbish version, frankly this is the only Thunderbirds film not to mention this song is good, it sounds like an Elvis Presley song that is probably intentional.
I liked what you said about the 2004 movie. I thought I would give it a shot because, you can't judge a book by its cover. but, when I got halfway through the trailer I was like, why would they do this to Thunderbirds? I thought it was a wreck and they left out so many details.
@@Lizzy-cs9zy You are absolutely right, it is just terrible, even the Gerry Anderson said so, do you know he volunteered to help but they said no, and the company who owned the rolls Royce even said they would lend them a pink rolls Royce but they never asked, the film was boring, forgettable, badly acted and written.
The band acts as an Oracle, if you watch more episodes. It isn't explained well during the original run, but the band was a real life band. The Shadows, a surf rock band out of Britain. They where awesome! Also, they eventually would have been revealed to be international informants, of sorts, without ever actually being certified as such, but rather mentioned. The series never got to that point, and it's a shame. This is all on the extras of the Rhino release from the early 2000's. Pretty cool, and that band was a big deal back in the day. Couldn't have been a more popular band to feature when this was made, where it was made. Trust me, despite being confusing, that last line is why it was the Shadows, and not the Beach Boys.
It must have taken a very long time to do…no such thing as 3D printing…just all from scratch And they really did capture all the little details rather than give them generic instruments
Gerry & Sylvia Anderson and Cliff Richard had neighbouring villas in Portugal. The TV series had been a massive success so they asked him to appear in the film. Personally, I think the song is its worst aspect, especially as there was other footage that they cut including sequences with The Hood and Fireflash that they really shouldve kept instead.
Gerry Anderson modeled all his blonde leading ladies, such as Lady P and Venus from Fireball XL-5, on his wife and their voice actress, Sylvia Anderson. That's a known fact.
“A shooting star will shoot you and mars will go to war” That is a rather ominous line. Given what happens in Captain Scarlet.
