- Afternoon Tea at the Ritz Carlton hotel and resort in the Kingdom of Bahrain - a luxury that was worth the spend during Christmas week. The Ritz is always a good time, but the Christmas touch makes it that much better.
We rolled into the Ritz (literally) in the Mustang and the road in was decorated with golden lights to celebrate the holiday. Once in the hotel, the class and beauty of the decor take the moment. A pretty impressive gingerbread house decorates the lobby lounge, and that's where we decide to enjoy our afternoon tea.
Before the tea, tho, we head around the grounds of the hotel to check out the pool area and the beach - while bringing back a memory or two for the kids.
The Afternoon Tea experience was amazing. The scones, the chocolates, the sweets, the smoked salmon - you name it, it was there and it was delicious. It wasn't until I made this video and looked at the kids' faces that maybe they weren't quite sure what they were eating at times.
I'm not sure what Lou was drinking was tea either, after he filled it with as much sugar as the human body could process in a year - and I discovered a taste that he is afraid of on this day, too!
