- It's 9 years to the day we lost the one and only Amy Winehouse. Looking through the archive, we've unearthed this footage of our longtime collaborator & Thursday night compere Andy Robinson interviewing her in Bristol in 2004.

I'm a horn and piano man past, friends tell me to play again; but lost my desire. Amy; the one singer in the past 15 years that I know it would've meant the world to me to play in her band because, she was a singer that motivated me to play. Love to the memory of Amy Winehouse. She lives when we put on one of her CDs.
She is so alive, her eyes and face so animated, Such a tragedy
She is just so likeable, spontaneous, natural, bubbly, and the way she spoke was just so cool, fluid, and natural. She just gives you the impression that she was very approachable, and just belonged to everybody........

It’s very rare to see this side of her, this was around her days when she would say herself she could be ‘very defensive’ and she smoked weed everyday here, you can see all the optimism on her face here and the last paragraph she says about her ‘perfect album’ is so so sad to hear, arguably she reached her mission but there was so much more, rip baby 🌹
Weed can be a gateway drug I've seen people go from weed to powders then dead.

@@glennoc8585 So can alcohol, coffee or water. It used to be labeled a gateway drugs but most study agree today it is a terminal drug. So people coming off of hard drugs stick with weed.

I met someone who knew her and he said she had a heart of gold and thats the truth, I dont think she realised not all others do, in fact few do.

That’s kind of insane to me because Frank is as good as it gets. Definately the best debut album ever, probably the best album ever made. That she wanted to top that, that alone is insane. I get why peopel like more Back To Black but really, this album is it. You’ll probably never see this but do you guys have the footage of the band’s practice ? It’s really really rare and it sounded more like a show than reharshal. I would love to see Amy perform some new stuff.
