    Congrats bro, best of luck on the MS degree! I've been following you and Josh for a hot minute now and I'm excited to say that I'll be starting the B.S. in Software Engineering in April. Hoping to get it done before I turn 19, but we'll see ahaha.

    Congratulations on completion. 🎉I’m planning to do the accelerated BS General IT + IT Management Masters program and I’ve gotten conflicting info on the timing as well. So I’m excited to see your next update

      Thanks! I wouldn't surprised if the accelerated degree works a little different than the other degrees, but hopefully they'll provide you with accurate information. I think it's awesome that they have type of degree plan and I expect that they'll create more in the future.

    Hey man you were talking about how the company you work for is in the process of merging with another company. Good luck with the transition man! The company I work for recently became it's own company and there were times during the process where we couldn't effectively do much and then other times where it was nonstop all hands on deck. Fortunately, we got through it, and I learned a lot about doing data migrations during that time, but yeah it would have been tough to manage that while going to school. If timing lines up, you might end up in one of those "not a whole lot going on" situations (a.k.a. the calm before the storm) but whatever happens I wish you the best of luck! Congrats on your Bachelor's!

    Congrats! You’re on the same path that I am on. I talked with an enrollment counselor recently and was told the earliest I could start was six months to the date from the start of my most recent term. My current term started Dec 1 and I’m finishing my last two BSCIA classes this week so the earliest I could start the Masters would be June 1 which is what I’ve set my start date to. If you’re able to get in earlier I might start bugging them to move my date up too.

    This is fantastic (potentially for the Masters) news! 2023 is definitely going to be your year. I have to wonder if everything is falling into place so that you can either move up in the merged company or maybe go into something new. Either way, thank you for sharing your journey!

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  Рік тому +1

      Thanks! You're right. This company merge could be a great opportunity to learn something new or move up in the company. We'll see what happens over the next month or so, but I'm thinking positive and I'm ready for anything. 🙂

      It's possible that maybe it's only restricted in some situations (another comment mentioned financial aid), but I'll try to confirm and get more info when I talk to the enrollment counselor on Monday.

    • @tahirmunir8547
      @tahirmunir8547 Рік тому +1

      C701 Ethical Hacking CEH or CompTIA Pentest+
      C702 Forensics and Network Intrusion CHFI Exam (312-49)
      C725 Intormation Security and Assurance CISSP or SSCP Or CISM
      C727 Cybersecurity Mangagment I - Strategic CISSP or an Associate of ISC (2)

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  Рік тому +1

      Thanks. You're right. I meant I'm likely to transfer either 2 or 3. I know for sure I'm taking C702 at WGU, but I'm trying to decide if I want to skip the C701 since I already have the Pentest+, or take the course anyway so I can get the CEH certification.

    • @tahirmunir8547
      @tahirmunir8547 Рік тому

      @@CameronEvolved I already have a CISSP certification. I will use CISSP credits for two courses (C725 and C727) and get free vouchers for CEH and CHFI certifications. I think it's a good idea to get both certifications now because it would cost around $1849 otherwise.

      It's not completely confirmed yet. My program mentor and the person I talked to on the phone wouldn't be the people who actually approve my start date, so it's possible that it could still be rejected, but I'll get you an update as soon as I know more.

    Hey Cameron,
    I have a question about WGU. Can I transfer as many credits from outside schools/programs as I want? For example let’s say a degree I’m interested in is 40 credits and I transfer in 35. Is that okay to do with WGU?

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  Рік тому

      It depends on the degree, but in your example no. You have to take at least 25% of the degree at WGU for most degrees so you'd be able to transfer a maximum of 30 (assuming that specific degree even has 30 transferable credits available). There are some degrees that you can't transfer anything in.

    I spoke with them last week, you will have to wait until the term ends, before it used to be like this one can finish a degree and enroll into another one but they explained it was due to the department of education along those lines that they want to student to wait until the term ends, and then enroll into another program when they are a returning grad.

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  Рік тому

      Hopefully I'll be able to give you guys an update soon (probably next week). A lot has happened since I made this video and it's turned into chaos lol. I have multiple enrollment counselors looking into it, multiple meetings set up, and it's been escalated to supervisors. I'm still being told different things from the WGU staff so I'm not 100% sure which way it's going to go when it's all over.

    Hey, do you think you can make one video talking about the best way to approach and accelerate the BSCSIA degree? Like if you were starting over again, what’s does the roadmap look like.

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  Рік тому

      Honestly I'd do the same as I did the first time. Knock out as many credits as I can with study . com and sophia learning, and then ideally I'd pre-study the remaining courses before I start. You can transfer up to 75% of the total credits so I'd recommend transferring as much as you can.

  • @itsatraplol

      I can't 100% confirm yet, but that's what my program mentor is saying. I'll try to confirm this week and if it's possible, I'll post an update with proof.

    I'm happy to another success story. Although , WGU enrollment is a joke. My start date has been push back twice, once without even telling me and they didn't understand why. My enrollment counselor for got about me to add to the situation. I transferred in my JST plus Google Certs and now they are saying i need my HS transcripts three months later. All I have is my Diploma and the TS are so old the HS nor does the recommended websites have record of it. To top it all off, my counselor said both he and his supervisor has tried everything they don't blame me if I choose not to attend WGU. This is pure unprofessional and dysfunctional. I have read about other students using the diploma by the way.

      Desktop. Specifically the Dell Optiplex 7090 micro (I love mini pcs), but you can get away with almost anything as long as it's not too old. The requirements are here. cm.wgu.edu/t5/WGU-Student-Policy-Handbook/Computer-System-and-Technology-Requirements/ta-p/78
