Hunter charm with ability radius and fire damage, and fire master and status effect technique, 65% fire damage, and skipping stone bow: Fire Demon Build
I found this particular review on the hunter both helpful and confusing/unhelpful. I am a purest and only utilize the hunter class. Archery in this game is so well done and so realistic it was so easily integrated into my game play, whilst enjoying the campaign. I am level 98, playing with no legendary perks or bows(but a level 98 long bow), and I am averaging between 200-300 kills per survival game play on gold. Staggering arrow is useless, enjoy the explosive arrow once It's unlocked as suggested. Utilize the archer perks at higher levels with fire master, Also ensure you utilize a 25%status effect increase technique. Utilize the archers primary special ability with added targets(technique) and the cool down technique as well. my latest game was 256 kills not even surviving the integral 20-25th waves(teammates had roughly 45-55-80 kills respectively). Ensure you either use Callops(incredibly useful and brutally underrated for legends) with explosive capabilities and either dirt throw with fire addition or the sticky bomb with explosive/fire capabilities. You will watch your games increase from 70-110 kills to 200-250 in no time. Hopefully this helps some with their archer class. As this gentlemen took a massive amount of time out of his day to ensure we had excellent information as well. Leave him a thumbs up and lots of love. I may not agree/know how to utilize his teachings properly. If you have a similar issue, Maybe my teachings will be of assistance. If not, this guy knows his stuff, we just have contradicting play styles. (also probably why his estimates for kills are 300+ and my range provided was between 250-300 ;P)
Definitely found resupply arrow technique way better then 25% fire with the long bow you get 2 fire and 4 regular arrows pre one resolve with no resolve buffs you can EASILY get another resolve back with 2 fire arrow headshots sometimes I need to shoot a regular one but often you can just constantly deal fire dmg which is better and then 25% fire dmg when you pick up arrows. Also helps stay at range
If you're using headshot refund on the skipping stone bow (and you should be) then the resupply is useless, whereas the fire boost has synergy with the explosive arrow and other hunter charms. This way you can save your resolve for an earlier ultimate.
@@Ecthellion1985 the head shot refund only works on non special arrows (at least in the description) so having endless fire arrows/ fire dmg gives you the ability to push out more fire dmg than a 25% boost
I run 2 Legendaries with Spirit Kunai. Hit with Explosive Arrow, wait till they get low, Kunai, leads into Explosive Arrow being cut into at least a third. Get 20% Damage on Kunai plus 4 second CD on Kills, highly effective on virtually any build. Its also extremely effective with Munitions since that 120 second cooldown can typically be cut down tremendously more for endless ammo. Also, I almost always have less than 11 seconds on my Kunai cooldown with this build. A similar build on Ronin is hilarious with Black Powder Bombs. I actually will out kill other Hunters with this endless loop combo of dropping Munitions, throwing Powder bombs, Kunai, refresh.

On my charm I have my ability radius at 99% (god rolled). My explosive arrows stacked w/ fire damage and class effect damage has CRAZY AoE. Literally melts setting every enemy on fire.
I don’t have the skipping bow and as Hunter you still get the most kills by far.. it pisses teammates off cause it makes the fist 15 waves very boring for them so I started playing different legends or slow play the hunter so I don’t ruin the experience of others. Also don’t be that hunter that disregards the objective to kill enemies in zone and goes off killing the wave in spawn boom objective lost. Actually that applies for ronin bombers as well
I run hunter charm with range resolve and hunter ability radius to make sure I cover an entire spawn with exploding arrow. Combine that with a headshot and you’ve nuked a whole group before anyone else can get there. Most maps have a great perch for you to cover most spawns from a distance with little movement. I only jump down with the melee peasants when there’s an emergency then right back to my perch for the next wave. Usually end matches with 150-170 kills. Occasionally I’ll break 200 if I’m just nailing my headshots.
If you get a headshot with staggering arrow while using the skipping stone, it will hit as a staggering arrow, but seemingly ricochet as an explosive arrow. Idk if they patched this because I haven't used staggering arrow in forever, but I'm certain this was true. I would get a headshot with it and there would be an explosion and also set enemies on fire, but also stagger them. You got the best of both worlds. It was very strange.
I just made a build with the weightless spirit with | Draw Speed 15%* Projectile velocity | with headshot refund while also having a range charm that gives me 20% draw speed it feels really damn good
Caltrops can deal significant fire damage but unlike the smoke, they don't stop enemies from attacking you so you won't be able to shoot them as easily, meaning your overall DPS is reduced.
@@montanadash20 dang I got it today and thought it was cool especially with the ult. but now seeing this video its even better than I thought. Didn't know it was that hard to get compared to the others.
My main is hunter and lol yeah a lot of people are still fairly bad to be honest and yeah I do see alot of hunters stealing kill but that counts for every class even ronin lol, when people see my bomb arrow they go for the low health enemies that are on fire lol, it's just hunters are more obvious than the other classes. And by the way I can get to low 300 kills but that's because I can obliterate 2 waves quickly unless it's all heavy onis without help from my team, that's mainly because of my ult and bomb arrow, and I use my ult the first wave every round, talking about nightmare not gold. In gold thats easy but I do have to add if I do get good teammates I can't break to 300 kills. Mainly because my targets gets finished off by my team.
Well think about it, hunters can hit enemies 1st before any other class is in range. We can clear entire waves of enemies by ourselves before backup arrives, or if I show up to a point where I see someone in a sword fight with 1 guy when the point is being overrun you better believe im gonna blow everything up lol
I feel your pain brother. It's a good thing the nightmare story this week is relatively quick and easy. You can spam that with a friend or random to try and get the skip bow. Caaaaause after the 40th run of severed hearts and not getting the bow I gave up lol
Do you have to play as hunter to unlock the bow? I finally leveled up enough ki for gold, but her current build I got isn't the best. Would rather grind it out with my assassin or samurai.
I swear that's what she says whenever I miss an explosive arrow or get a bad ult. Explosive arrow goes zooming through a group of enemies, hits no one and explodes 50m behind... "My arrows never miss"
This is a good build, but it's missing a lot of extra details. First, on your skipping stone, get ranged damage and headshot damage. Everything else is useless. Draw speed really doesn't make fully drawing the bow that much faster. I think it's like half a second? Reload speed is also useless because if you just stop aiming after you shoot and then immediately aim again, you'll reload pretty much instantly. As for perks, I would agree on getting helmet piercing, even if you use pinpoint. Because if the arrows ricochet into a helmet, they won't do anything. Nightmare and Gold are filled with helmets, so you're gonna be useless if you can't pierce them. And a small correction: the amount of resolve you get from headshots is constant. It isn't affected by how much damage the headshot did. So just focus on getting those headshots and avoid long draw times. Stay within 10m of the enemy and you can fire instantly and hit your reticle. Just getting 4 or 5 headshot like this will grant you 3 resolve. If you want quick and easy resolve then get a smoke bomb with sudden resolve. Use it when you're empty and you'll get 1 resolve and also become invisible making the enemies easy targets. You can literally just spam headshots. You could also get a sticky bomb with blast radius and increased radius; hitting just 4 enemies with it will grant you close to 1 resolve. But I personally like to run the new Bottle of Liquid Courage with Lucky perk. If you want to know how ridiculous it is, just look it up. As for everything else, just experiment. I would recommend though that if you're only concerned about your ultimate, then get as much ultimate damage on your katana and charm as well. I have 20% on my katana and 18.8% on my charm. .....it's crazy.
My build: 120 Moon Katana +9.4 melee resolve gain +20% ultimate damage Moon Master Way of the Flame 120 Skipping Stone Bow +10% headshot damage +12% ranged damage Helmet Piercing Shield Piercing 120 Hunter Charm +7.8 headshot damage +18.8 ultimate damage Foul Arrows Combat Regeneration 120 Sticky Bomb +23% blast radius +3.6s cooldown reduction on kill Increased Radius Fired Up 120 Bottle of Liquid Courage +15% cooldown reduction +4.0s cooldown reduction on kill Lucky Increased Healing Techniques: Explosive Arrow Legendary Status Damage All Seeing Eye This build is great at everything. Story, survival, rivals, raid, literally everything. And on any difficulty as well. You're a monster but a team player as well. Foul Arrows help you're team a lot, and using it with your ultimate will put WEAKEN on a lot of the big enemies whilst taking a big chunk of their health. Leaving them for your team to finish off. I used to run Fire Master instead if Combat Regeneration, but during testing I noticed that fire damage capped at 30% or so. This was because when using Status Damage alone, the difference was negligible compared to using it with Fire Master. All the other perks on the charm were useless and Combat Regeneration was surprisingly better than I anticipated. Works especially great during survival as you're moving between points and waves. It also makes up for the fact that you don't have other methods of healing. 2 weaknesses with this build, and their both minor: 1. Poison. I was really sad when I found out Combat Regeneration does nothing against it. It will still heal you while you are poisoned, but it won't remove the effect, which is stupid. Bottle of Liquid Courage can help with this, but most of the time it's unavailable because you should pretty much use it as soon as it's available. You maximize resolve gain that way. 2. Ammo. There's nothing you can really do about this anyway, so it's more of a weakness on the class and not the build. Scavenger could work, but Combat Regeneration and Foul Arrows are so much better. Headshot refund isn't as OP as it used to be before they nerfed the Skipping Stone. I actually used to run it and it really didn't help that much. I found Shield Piercing to be much more useful, especially since you won't miss that many shots trying to hit their head over the shield. You could try using Shield Piercing Ammo instead of Status Damage, you get an extra 6 arrows that way, but you're fire damage will be weak. You'll notice it especially on Gold. Personally, I find that both of these aren't really that problematic. Poison is rare. And as for ammo, just use you're focused hearing and you'll find a restock nearby; there's alway one. And don't forget to use you're fire arrows as well as pickup ammo drops from the enemies.
I got this bow and thought it was worthless cuz the half bow legendary seemed good, this video proved me wrong though, this vid gets a thumbs up and sub from me
Hi with the Skipping stone bow today with all the updates, do you prefer Headshot damage with Draw Speed over Ranged Damage wiith Draw Speed? I've also heard some people say to use Reload Speed and Draw Speed with it. What would you recommend today with the updates. Also lastly I use a Hunter Charm with Fire Master but for the 2nd perk I normally use Combat Regeneration with my other characters, should I be using Resolve Gain instead with Fire Master?
Ok first you do NOT want headshot damage but RANGE damage. Headshot at max gives 10% while range give 12%. Range damage buffs the base damage and when you get a headshot the buff to range increases it as well. Say range damage is 100 headshot is x2 so 200. Buff headshot gets you 220 at 10% while 12% range buffs the base to 112 then when you get headshot it is 224. Not much more but range damage is better. I use hinter charm with range damage and HUNTER ability radius buff with fire master. Explosion arrows set fires and so bigger boom range more set fires.
just started hunter last night. i absolutely love it lol it shreds especially if u r able to get the ultimate back frequently. i made a samurai player leave the game bc i kept taking his kills lmfao. right now id say to get a lot of resolve gain % on ur gear, anything involving getting resolves faster like hunter charm with resolve gain, melee resolve gain on ur katana, range resolve on ur bow, the sudden resolve perk on a ghost weapon(try and get cooldown reduction on that ghost weapon to use it more often for that extra resolve) theres also injured resolve gain on the healing gourd which gives u faster resolve when taking damage

Headshot since the perk grants 50% headshot damage within 12m. I never once use pin point since skipping bow says it in the name and get tonnes off kills and I mean tonnes, but the thing is, my setup is made for close combat. No draw speed whatsoever and melt purple oni just with an normal arrow or a fire arrow. To bad I have been farming for days with no luck on the Skipping Bow dropping. I mean Ill keep at it but I have just the worse luck getting specific drops.
I disagree with draw speed. Yes it's can be nice to use less time pumping or arrows, but I'm more for getting the most damage per arrow. If you had infinite arrows, then sure attack speed wins. But you have finite arrow, make the most out of each

@@bhulinderchahal5274 sounds like this bow is going to be well worth the effort when you finally get it. Will completely change the game for you.
It toom me 3 dats of grinding and was the last legendary that I needed
I got two in a week
Took over a month of solid grinding for me
I'm pretty sure when you use your explosive arrow and get a skipping headshot, it'll trigger two explosions.
Yeah it does for me too. Been repeatedly doing it whenever possible once i realized it
Yes, it does. Double explosions FTW.
Yeah i completely disagree with using helmet piercing cuz you can just body shot some helmet people
@@Ecthellion1985 the head shot refund only works on non special arrows (at least in the description) so having endless fire arrows/ fire dmg gives you the ability to push out more fire dmg than a 25% boost

Headshot Refund is WAY more efficient for the hunter especially since body shots have a chance to count as head and your priority is headshots.

Just did that build ! That bow is epic!

Lol I’ve played the same story mission for 5hrs now xD and keep getting the epic long bow. Skipping stone bow really is rare huh

I got it first try .
I honestly think I got it on my first try. I unlocked it before I started playing with the hunter lol
Getting skipping bow is the hardest one for me... I’m already level 80 and never seen that
I just made a build with the weightless spirit with | Draw Speed 15%* Projectile velocity | with headshot refund while also having a range charm that gives me 20% draw speed it feels really damn good
Can't wait to give this one a try. What do you think about caltrops instead of smoke bomb?
Caltrops can deal significant fire damage but unlike the smoke, they don't stop enemies from attacking you so you won't be able to shoot them as easily, meaning your overall DPS is reduced.

Hunter steals alot of kills.

“My arrows never miss”
Me: *are you sure about that*
I swear that's what she says whenever I miss an explosive arrow or get a bad ult.
My build:
120 Moon Katana
+9.4 melee resolve gain
+20% ultimate damage
Moon Master
Way of the Flame
120 Skipping Stone Bow
+10% headshot damage
+12% ranged damage
Helmet Piercing
Shield Piercing
120 Hunter Charm
+7.8 headshot damage
+18.8 ultimate damage
Foul Arrows
Combat Regeneration
120 Sticky Bomb
+23% blast radius
+3.6s cooldown reduction on kill
Increased Radius
Fired Up
120 Bottle of Liquid Courage
+15% cooldown reduction
+4.0s cooldown reduction on kill
Lucky
Increased Healing
Techniques:
Explosive Arrow
Legendary
Status Damage
All Seeing Eye
This build is great at everything.
2 weaknesses with this build, and their both minor:

I've also heard some people say to use Reload Speed and Draw Speed with it.
What would you recommend today with the updates.
Also lastly I use a Hunter Charm with Fire Master but for the 2nd perk I normally use Combat Regeneration with my other characters, should I be using Resolve Gain instead with Fire Master?
hunter is one of my absolute faves to use but my main i like to go with a ronin. you think you'd ever make a build video for that class?
Ronin build will be out tomorrow or Monday!
Bro, could you share your autosave ? I already got Like 7 legendary small bows but cant get that skipping stone bow
what build would you recommend if i wanted to spam the hunter's ultimate? what perks would maximize that scenario?
just started hunter last night. i absolutely love it lol it shreds especially if u r able to get the ultimate back frequently. i made a samurai player leave the game bc i kept taking his kills lmfao. right now id say to get a lot of resolve gain % on ur gear, anything involving getting resolves faster like hunter charm with resolve gain, melee resolve gain on ur katana, range resolve on ur bow, the sudden resolve perk on a ghost weapon(try and get cooldown reduction on that ghost weapon to use it more often for that extra resolve) theres also injured resolve gain on the healing gourd which gives u faster resolve when taking damage
So that's why I just saw a hunter wiped out an entire squad with a single Eye of Uchitsune
Why headshot damage over ranged damage? Wouldn’t ranged damage include headshots and body shots and it has a 2% higher max?
Same build buh you run dirt throw with the light on fire perk which gives you a easy headshot while doing fire damage and caltrops wit the light on fire perk
week 3 is Slowed revive so np using fire weaken bleed poison etc.
Why do people keep using headshot damage when ranged damage is exactly the same with a higher roll% potential?

Here's my advice, even works in nightmare since I've been using it in nightmare, learn to use the hunter ult in two situations just as when the enemy spawns and when they're in the circle apart from that don't use your ult... Unless you're about to die I suppose. I agree with your build about 80% I'd say but I built mine on my own and just watching these for comparison, I can honestly say my build will be more effective in nightmare but my build is a specialty build so if you can't focus on a lot of things at ones the ballista will just kill you over and over again since I don't use draw speed even then my kills in nightmare are always around mid 200s to low 300s. by the way aim assist lol, won't work for my build since 90% of the time I'm no where near the enemy, like everyone can play as they want but as for me since I'm using a long bow, unless I have to I won't be using it close range that's why I don't utilise draw speed...
