You come up with the absolute best builds, and I like how you break them down and explain the how and why. I rarely do this, but you have earned a sub cause you deserve it.
This works best with Rancid Dirt Throw, applying weaken on enemies before the ulti so you deal 25% more damage. Also rolling ulti damage on charm and sword gives 20+20 % additional dmg. Sacred Iron also works wonders, reducing damage you take since it weakens enemies that melee damage you while also increasing their damage taken. Also 10% flat dmg reduction on Healing Gourd gives more bang for the buck in terms of maintaining health. Weaken on enemies should not be underestimated, it's a huge boost both in defense and offence. Any % dmg increase on ulti gives a lot of bang since the base damage of ulti is very high.

Thank you for this. Running a variation with spirit kunai for cooldown and have 19% damage reduction instead of cooldown reduction. Pop ult, pop gourd with sudden resolve, get hit 3 times, pop ult again, so much fun

Idk if you tried resolve gain on the samurai charm but I feel its just as good. Blesses strikes increases damage and fill your resolve super fast so you dont have to have such high injured resolve gain. I just use the Healing gourd with damage reduction and injured resolve gain. As a samurai on nightmare I get around 270 kills. Spec everything into Melee damage. Cuts thru anything.
Dirt throw is underrated af, I'm using it on lots of NM builds and it works SO well with rancid. Just run to a group of onis when they are marching in, maybe get lucky on a hwacha shot that is pulling enemies closer together, and you can easily weaken 4-7 foes a good amount of times. Having 1-3 of those really tanky onis on weak makes life so much easier! I was also rolling for ability cd which makes it even better imo, you'll have it back in no time. Also helps with ressing ofc, probably not as well as the bomb though
I like this built, tried it on nightmare survival and works really well. Even with this weeks modifier (reduced healing). I would change the legendary though. For me it's more effective using either Sacred Iron OR Last Breath for legendary since they synergize really well with the build and playstyle!
If I understand it correctly the healing gourd's best perk IMO would be Lucky. Even with a 15% proc chance you are able to receive 50 health. Which is double the amount that you gain with having the extra 50% heal.(12.5) with any cooldown in your build you are going to have heals for days. Also great paired with sticky bomb. This is also if the extra healing ONLY works for the gourd, which would be a fun test no? does it work on outposts? or with other healing effects?
I tried this build with , Sacred Iron the legendary Charm with Super Armor Applied on , My attacks were not Getting interrupt, Perk was enemy who does melee damage to you have weaken applied on them Deadly combination , this made life lot easier , I got 371 kills in nightmare as Samurai.
Today I lucked the fuck out and got a 95 ki master's sword. The best item I've seen in game so far. Was horrified about reforging it because I thought it might lower it legendary status or something. But it just levels it to whatever level you are..so now o have a LV 105 masters sword and it rocks. Wish we could use more than one legendary item without having to waste a skill on it though. Now I'm done with heavenly strike I put 2 extra hits on my main class attack ability. And I know explosive hits is supposed to be good but the healing ability of the samurai is absolutely incredible and it's what makes the class tanky. Without it you're kind of a glass cannon esp in later game modes with poison, constant artillery barrages, Oni enemies that almost one hit you etc
Level 65 samurai and never had a single defence charm dropped I have at least 3x each legendary charm 2x every other charm (because I dismantle junk charms) I only save and keep charms I don't own so there's no chance I dismantled it. I'm assuming my luck is ether terrible or they have been removed from game.
This build is lit. But imo to make it even better run the charm sacred iron. Enemies who deal melee damage to you gets weaken applied to them so now you deal 25% more damage and they deal 25% less damage, which comes in clutch with this build since you have to intentionally take damage. This charm can get the same stats as the charm used in the video. This combined with the masamune edge 1/5 chance to deal double damage. You’re running thru enemies I also run a Kunai, solely for additional melee damage
Grind raid chapter 3 for like an hour. You'll easily get over 1k honor. Use masamune's edge to break her stagger, then hit her 3 times. You'll kill her super fast
@@gyojinsho9737 cant. Cant even run chp1 cause I have no one to team up. Doesnt matter tho I get plenty of stuff regardless running regular gold or nightmare survival. Masamune is the only sword missing btw. I use stonestriker. With this insane amount of resolve gain I can afford using ultimate and strike of the heavens which is great.
I've read that the "healing increased by 50%" on the healing gourd applies to all healing sources because it doesn't say that it's specific to the healing gourd. I wonder if that includes Spirit Pull. If so, I'd also roll with the Touch of Heaven sticky bomb for extra health when it detonates. Haven't tested it yet though. This is a solid build, I like it. I've been using Sacred Iron with injured resolve gain +25%, resolve gain +10% and super armour so that it applies weaken, and I can keep attacking through hits. A bit more risky because you can just keep attacking and you can get distracted from when you need to heal, but when it works it shines. May have to tweak it after seeing this video. Really been enjoying your build videos though, keep it up.
I like this build but i prefer the extra melee dmg on the kunai. Super massive also staggers onis so i prefer that over the sticky bomb. Nonetheless great build! Also would dmg reduction be a good substitute for cooldown per kill on the gourd?
I think "SUPER ARMOR" is a must and missing it this build. With it u are a Tank that can keep attacking while not being interupted/knocked down WHILE also gaining injured resolve. Its a must have IMO
Gotta say super armor really grew on me. At first i thought that was a useless perk, but enemies knock you around 95% less, cause only a few abilities can do that with this perk. So you take the dmg but stay in fight + you arent interrupted picking up allies from the ground AND in raid you can walk with a crystal in your hand like its a nice sunday stroll. Therfor i kind of fell in love with this over combat regen, resolve of ans other perk.
Cool build, i run something similiar but with moon katana with moon master (ult dmg + meele resolve) and last breath charm, it generates crazy amounts of resolve and stuns and shreds fatso onis with ease, only downside when you spin to win you cant be interupted so if you dont pay attention you can end up dead if you dont react fast enough. Also that slap was epic xD
@@johnnyspirals9072 it's op only for big dudes and onis with maces, it's not that good against shields if you dont position behind them, but you can allways rock master katana with moon master and just put defence charm with injured resolve and dmg reduction, same on gourd, or if you like you can go with injured resolve + resolve gain on charm. I'll probably try sacred iron charm next so enemies become weakend when they hit me just to check the dmg reduction if it's any good since i have 10% dmg reduction on gourd and you can get 10% dmg reduction on sacred iron plus weakend enemies do 25% less dmg, so i guess 45% dmg reduction is pretty nice, hopefully.
Hmmm.. but it doesn't boost your damage by 25%, weakened enemies take 25% more damage, which is quite different. I don't think any of the legendary charms are worth it tbh. I'd rather have more healing, since weaken doesn't last very long.
How can I get the defense charm? I've been grinding for it but still no luck. Do I have to play as a specific class? just to have some higher chance of getting it. As i'm playing as a samurai rn
Not sure of it's class specific, I don't think so. Maybe try playing as Ronin for a couple of missions? If you speed through some story missions you can get a lot of loot really fast
I'd say explosive blade with +90-100% explosive blade radius and blessed strikes and 'only' around 25% injured resolve gain on gord is much better. The amount of extra damage and aoe in nightmare that semi-stuns enemies during the ability is crazy, plus you become unblockable during the duration! Blessed strikes healing plus gord is more than enough sustain
"doing damage to get health back when at low health surrounded by onis is not an option" naaa dude it takes like 2 hits to get full life with blessed strikes, so do a couple dodges and get 2 unblockable hits in and you're full health. OR you can even pop ult and ability if you're really scared and you'll be invincible during ult and get all your health back during the ult hits
Finally, you don't need master katana to deal with spear men. Use way of the flame or explosive blade and your attacks become unblockable. This opens you up to use either masamunes edge for crits or spirit kunai for CD reduction and more explosive blade spam. Spirit kunai also gives 12% melee so another big dmg increase

Is it true some of the stats don’t work? I heard mele and ranges resolve gain don’t work. Just curious cause I have those on my samurai and hunter and will reroll If so. Thanks (maybe recommend range damage or headshot damage for now if ranges resolve gain is broken)
I like it, but it lacks damage, which is very important for samurai, I have a build that prioritizes the ultimate and melee damage, and can kill a white haired oni in three hits. I prefer that than having ultimate more often
I use it with 2X 20% ulti dmg and dmg Reduktion instead of cdr. Would like to Play with heavenly strike cuz its fun to use. Bit dont wanz to miss the 2 extra ulti hits.
Take super armor healing gourd legendary charm that heals u if u drop to zero hp and trust me u will be a god especially with the resolve bug fixes thank me later

Where did you learn your math at? You clearly say, "55.7 injured resolve" and you have 45.7. 2+2=4. 22%+23.7% is 45.7% or 46% if you round it up. No where near 55.
The background in a period of a game [history] is inaccurate.For example. Armor and a costume of the Japanese soldier who appears in this game are the one in the second half of the 16th century, not a thing in the second half of the 13th century.
Can't believe I forgot to say this but try out Masamune's edge with this build. It can be godly if it procs with the amount of ults.

For blessed strike build you need spirit kunai to help you get extra cooldown reduction on everything.

I am going to do this, but with The Last Breath charm, it has the same perks, but it can save me when soaking damage gets me in trouble.

"doing damage to get health back when at low health surrounded by onis is not an option" naaa dude it takes like 2 hits to get full life with blessed strikes, so do a couple dodges and get 2 unblockable hits in and you're full health. OR you can even pop ult and ability if you're really scared and you'll be invincible during ult and get all your health back during the ult hits
Finally, you don't need master katana to deal with spear men. Use way of the flame or explosive blade and your attacks become unblockable. This opens you up to use either masamunes edge for crits or spirit kunai for CD reduction and more explosive blade spam. Spirit kunai also gives 12% melee so another big dmg increase

Do this build with iron guard charm, its alot more effective to weaken them and be able to tank more

I like it, but it lacks damage, which is very important for samurai, I have a build that prioritizes the ultimate and melee damage, and can kill a white haired oni in three hits.
I prefer that than having ultimate more often

I use it with 2X 20% ulti dmg and dmg Reduktion instead of cdr. Would like to Play with heavenly strike cuz its fun to use. Bit dont wanz to miss the 2 extra ulti hits.
Yeah, heavenly strike is a lot of fun but very costly in terms of resolve.
Also, you could use Stone Cutter legendary to get heavenly strike "for free"

Take super armor healing gourd legendary charm that heals u if u drop to zero hp and trust me u will be a god especially with the resolve bug fixes thank me later

Where did you learn your math at? You clearly say, "55.7 injured resolve" and you have 45.7. 2+2=4. 22%+23.7% is 45.7% or 46% if you round it up. No where near 55.
