  • This course looks at the inflammatory cytokine pathways that deplete our vital brain chemicals. Through analysis of lab data you can identify and properly treat patients with inflamed brains that may have sought help for decades without success.

I learn more in your vids than I did in college! Such a shame that modern medicine is just about prescribing meds.

Thanks DK for making this recording freely accessible. I'm trying to find a reference for tryptophan being the rate limiting step for all protein synthesis in the body. Help anyone? And I suppose, in the spirit of functional medicine, I would love more discussion of gut pathogens' (potential) role in neurotransmitter problems; e.g., candida and serotonin, clostridia and dopamine β-hydroxylase. There are probably other examples, but that's all that come to mind at the moment. Maybe beyond the scope of this short course!

My advise is: work on liver detoxification pathway ( maguinesium sulfate bath very hot with 2 to 3 cups of the magnesium, before bath take activate charcoal, work on having a good daily bowel movement, add more SULFUR rich foods to your diet, like broccoli sprouted or enough broccoli, and take MSM daily or L Cesteine, take vitamin E,C and D,selenium, B12,,folate and B6,B1,eat more bitter greens like dandelion, ) get sun shine or infrared sona, work on fixing gut biome. Stop gluten, dairy

What would very elevated Homovanillic (dopamine) levels mean + in the presence of LOW Vanillylmandelic (epinephrine/norepinephrine)? Is this less of a conversion issue and more of an adrenal issue?

So, if elevated NE is inhibiting Dopamine synthesis, would we see their plasma Tyrosine levels high on the ION panel? (Since it cannot convert to L-Dopa via TH enzyme) On that same note, would we see low Tryptophan if it's getting pulled down KYN and QUIN pathway? Has anyone seen this on labs? Thanks.

If I'm in the UK is it possible to get one of these full panel tests done? If so how?
