- My dog Tater the herping hound and I took an afternoon drive to the Sheep Creek Bridge area on the Fraser River near Williams Lake, BC, to look for Rubber Boas (Charina bottae). I have seen them here before, when I worked on a ranch in the area, but that was almost 30 years ago. No luck this time, but the scenery was beautiful and it was so green!!
Another great video! It's hard for me to imagine boas going this far north. I hope you will find them next time, and the scenery totally deserves more videos!
WOW = AWESOME - AMAZING - BIG THANKS ///
Thank you!!
Great to see a new video from you!! I love these type of videos, because this is reality! Sometimes we have targets and get them and other times we get lots of scenery pictures and videos! It’s a bummer you did find your target, but boy am I glad you made a video! That area is worth going to just for the scenery alone, it gave me the nature boost I’ve been craving, packing doesn’t give me much time to explore at the moment. Hopefully you can find a rubber boa again soon!
It’s a fun spot to go to! Thanks for watching!!
I had never heard of a rubber boa before, so I looked it up and I have to say, it is an interesting looking snake! I thoroughly enjoyed your video even if we did not see a snake. You are right, the scenery where you live is fantastic, and so is Tater! What a beautiful snake hunting companion you have!!! That Sheep Creek bridge is a very cool looking bridge. The river seemed to be running fast and high, is that the case, or was this just normal. Thank you for the video, I enjoy seeing where you live!!!
Thank you for the nice words about Tater! He is my whole world and goes everywhere with me! It was a very nice afternoon to spend near the river, at least there were a lot of birds singing! And you are right - the river is quite high - normal for this time of year, because of snow melting in the mountains. It will drop several feet by August, when the salmon start coming up the river to spawn. Thank you very much for watching!!
Thanks for a great video!!!
Man tonight I drove in a mile long circle for 2 hours looking for Timbers that are there but not being seen tonight.
I might have had better luck at night or early morning, but I only had a few hours earlier in the day to look before work. Hope you have better luck with your Timbers tomorrow! Thanks for watching!!
Sure is some beautiful scenery! Hope you have some better luck next time, I’d love to see you find one! 🐍

Just some insanely beautiful county, I'd be satisfied hiking around and never finding anything with those views.
Yes, it was an enjoyable afternoon - at least there were lots of birds around! Thanks for watching!!
Even if u didnt have snakes there I'd go cruising just to c the scenery... do u have grizzlies n that area?
No grizzlies in that spot, but plenty about 30 miles away!! Thanks for watching!!
