lol...nothing in this video sounded very honest about Thai girls. They might be honest with themselves...but not you. In fact if you want a genuine relationship it sounds more likely to happen in the West than anywhere in SEA. Iam friendly with a Thai girl in England. She has told me her story she was an ex pattayia bar girl that married with a English guy has lived in England 18 years devorced and got a flat out of her devorce settlement she has a English passport so she has no problem staying. This girl has men visiting her flat and she is charging 100 pounds per hour and I know for sure she has on a bad day 3 customers per day and on a good day maybe 6 or 7. She works six days a week. I know this is correct as my business is across the road from her flat and I see these guys young and old coming and going excuse the punn. Normally we have the home insurance which covers almost everything for 45 days only, but if we want to stay longer, for example 3-6 months and extend the insurance then the cost will be very expensive. Let me also add to these helpful comments: - We have individualistic cultures and collectivist cultures. Most of us in the West come from individualistic cultures and Southeast Asia is 100% collectivist. That's important to understand - Thailand, Vietnam, and Malay have languages that have not evolved, unlike Japanese and Korean. So they don't have many words that we have, so translation sometimes is not even an option. - Empathy. These countries have zero understanding or appreciation of what it's like for a foreigner to live here. Zero planning and foresight as well. Once you know these things, it's much easier to set expectations and look at things more objectively here.
Why do so many man pay for nothing in return? I understand the Thai girls very well. There is no social security but the obligation to support their parents. The girl know very well, that their physical attraction is fading. So they make the most out of their youth and looks.

Normally we have the home insurance which covers almost everything for 45 days only, but if we want to stay longer, for example 3-6 months and extend the insurance then the cost will be very expensive.

To be fair this woman was raised with western influence by her step father. So, she's not exactly the same as most other women in Pattaya who grew up in a poor Isan family and with no education. That being said, her step father's influence on her life was still not enough to stop her from following in her mother's foot steps and end up in Pattaya. It's an interesting story if true. You always have to take these stories with a grain of salt IMO. No matter how long this woman has known the author of this story, she could still be making it all up because, remember, thai bar ladies will say what they think the customer wants to hear. I don't trust a single one no matter how long I've known her.

They normally change somewhat more casual, but you can ask them to keep it on

It is an amazing disconnect because vast majority of Thai females say they are Buddhist yet apparently all of these Thai girls (or at least most all the bar girls) is they don't believe in karma at all.

Karma seems entertwined in Buddhism (from what I can tell) which implies treating others poorly will have repercussions in this life and even the next lives.
Let me also add to these helpful comments:
- We have individualistic cultures and collectivist cultures. Most of us in the West come from individualistic cultures and Southeast Asia is 100% collectivist. That's important to understand
- Thailand, Vietnam, and Malay have languages that have not evolved, unlike Japanese and Korean. So they don't have many words that we have, so translation sometimes is not even an option.
- Empathy. These countries have zero understanding or appreciation of what it's like for a foreigner to live here. Zero planning and foresight as well.
Once you know these things, it's much easier to set expectations and look at things more objectively here.

Why would you go to Pattaya to hunt for a wife? That is like paying a new car price at Hertz for one of their rentals. Hertz is great at letting you try out new cars without the liabilities, but there are better places to buy a new car than Pattaya.

Having lived in Thailand for 2 years, I don't speak Thai fluently but I tried to learn as much as possible (on my own without school) and I'm doing pretty well. I wonder why those who live long term in Thailand don't make any effort to learn the language. Everyone who speaks English almost refuses to learn Thai while living in Thailand. It's sound like a nonsense to me
