This record is my personal favorite by them. I like the sludgy/grimy guitars. They painted this perfect picture of brimstone and fire. The dungeons and dragons lyrics are what they are but it’s on brand and on theme. It was also the only record where you can hear Tom’s bass on every song. Whereas on later records the bass only had moments in certain songs. Overall it’s a cult classic.

It’s a year late but you would definitely like At Dawn they Sleep. And I’m typically a studio version guy but the live 1995 intrusion version is the best that song has ever sounded that I could find

Slayer is the most pure thrash out of the big 4.I mean its not even close

Yeah from a song writing perspective that's 100% true. The other 3 only started out thrash but didn't stick to it
