Hey, I'm living in China where the DJI and rode2 have a big VAT added and domestic brands like synco and boya are significantly better value.
You're the best channel I've seen that covers these brands and was wondering how you'd compare the xm6 s2 and the symco, which both run just over $100 USD here.
Appreciate the content -- have suscribed

I finally took my Synco G2 out to play today. Filmed an almost 2.5 hour memorial. Sound quality is fantastic. It did require a little denoising in Izotope but that only takes a minute for that length of a clip. Simple use, the display is very clear and easy to read. These babies just work!

At 79 I no longer have my 18 year old ears. But I've been involved with sound and music all my life having been a performer and an engineer and producer. I am no longer touring but I make vids for my youtube channel in my little studio that I downsized in my "retirement" from my larger commercial studio that I ran for many years. Having said that, as I listen to these on some near field monitors, they sound very good for the money. I have a plugin that can remove any sound other than the voice and it is magic so the extra noise will not be an issue. I wish they had onboard recording but at this price point that would just be over the top for value and not expected. But I still do a program for youtube where I play a couple of my music vids and then philosophize a bit and thought I'd come out of the stone age and update my way of getting my voice into my camera. I've been using an old lavalier wireless, but the wireless is only from the mike to the receiver which is quite large from much earlier tech. Still have to plug it into the wall and use a wire from there to the camera and this negates using it in "the field". I wanted these because of their absolute simplicity. After watching a few vids, yours included, I ordered a set and am looking forward to moving into the modern era and make life a bit simpler since I also make other types of vids as well that would benefit from not using the on camera mike. Thanks for your revue. It was helpful!

Old ears indeed. This pack is one notch beneath the rode in terms of medium highs and indeed have a bit more rounded bass response. It's obvious if you are accustomed to sound. Nothing that any good EQ cannot fix. BTW i own them both. The real plus is the price. If you choose Rode, you have to buy two lavalier extra...

I came across your excellent review while considering the Rode system. I am now trying to come up with reasons to buy the Rode instead of this. - and I can’t. Indeed, if both sets were the same price Synco scores higher due to being supplied with all of the accessories. I make cycling content and often interview someone riding next to me, so this would be perfect. I shall be buying and have subscribed.

I will have to say that I was struggling for a few months on what to go with!!! I have been stuck on the blinks and Rodes until I came across the Synco brand , the other version with out the scree.. it had mix reviews very little said good and some were just down right saying don’t buy it. The Rode had seemed to be winning!!! I am always open to hearing a great review even after maybe hearing 5 reviews before that we’re not soo good lol 😂 just to not miss out on something!!! When you compared them to the blink pro’s you immediately grabbed me and when I heard them with in the split second of switching over from Rode to Synco. The sound on them were great and I’m not even using head phones? Which i normally am doing, coming from a musician and producer perspective as well as music artist I need to see the quality of sound because I am live a lot on my platforms with other artists and others in the industry so my sound has to be A+. So thank you for this great Video. I will Most likely go with this pair over the blinks and the Rode!!!

The Saramonic is a really great pack and also offers more flexibility overall as you can change not only the input gain of the mics but the output gain to the camera. This is as good in every other way and slightly stronger when it comes to a distance test.

Thank you for this, I recently received having bought on sale at B&H. I'm testing and have found a couple of issues that you don't mention. The most worrying is I've often muted the transmitter accidentally and it's so easy to do. Do you know if you can override that? Secondly, something more minor is the furry wind muffs just don't stay in place, it feels like wind gust would take them off. Enjoy your channel.

If I used the lavalier, then it would clip when playing a guitar amp in the room no matter the gain on the pack. So I never really liked these. Any better for the G2?
