The most important thing is that Bam gets better first more than anything. He’s a good soul that just made bad decisions, my respects to Bam for being sober.
I'll drink to that
Maybe he’s a good soul when he’s sober, but he’s a real POS when he isn’t. Yes, I know from personal experience.
agreed 100%
@@mattyk2676 He'd prob fall right off that wagon if he made another Jackass. He should stay the course.
@@mattyk2676 everyone has their demons, Bam just struggled to fight them. Losing a very close friend suddenly, is very traumatic. And I speak from experience.
Fair call that Bam has more problem's than most people, Bam has also had more opportunities than most people. He chose the path he went down.
That's what grinds my gears the most about Bam. He basically had the world on a silver platter, but he actively chose chaos.
@@rodbelding9523 and every single chance he gets he throws all his downturns and failures on everybody else.
he would get more suppourt if he held him self accountable more hes still in a victim mind state
You would all be pissed if Knoxville didn't pay you 5 million for making a jackass show. Yall don't know nothing
@@leemanandersonbut we'd deal with it like grown ups, not take it as an excuse to use drugs😅
Bam is at that stage of sobriety where he's tip toeing on a sharp razor edge...20 years of solid partying doesn't get extinguished in only 8 months. His journey has just begun, he'll be tested and tempted from now until his last breath. I hope he can be at least half as successful as Steve O has been in slaying that dragon!
I been sober 2-1/2 years. It get better and easier daily
Three and a half years here but still on methadone so not really 😂 😢
Idk he's been taking photos all over bars and pubs in the UK lately so we shall see, mint tea! lol
Bam Margera is back on a skateboard, sober and has reunited with Steve-O. A whole generation of kids will forever stand by his side and I am one of them. So happy to see the light back in his eyes 🛹
Hes not reunited with steve o
Hes not sober
@@javiercoupe6214 I’ll pray for him 💀
9:54 He will come around eventually. Right now he’s concentrating on himself which is exactly what you must do. I was addicted to morphine after a serious accident, after 14 years I decided to quit and rather live with the chronic pain than continue to poison everything I ever was. The road to recovery is long and arduous but not impossible. James Hetfield has the best quote ever on how to get sober: “Fear is a great thing to get motivated”
The fear of losing your family, your kids, your whole reason for being alive. Bam is doing the absolutely right thing to take his sobriety one day at a time. He will succeed and win back himself.
Congrats on your sobriety Bam!
✊🏻🤘🏻🇸🇪
You are awesome well done
I love living in chronic pain it reminds me I’m sober and alive
You sound like you see it like i do
@@diamonddead8162 I do, the pain is a constant companion and rarely do we disagree. In those cases Pain lets me know I’m more alive than usual, and when it goes down to the constant level I can relax a little.
Sounds like we have the view of pain in common. ✊🏻🤘🏻
Fear is needed James is on point
it wasn’t till I started having breathing problems and it scared me that I decided to quit smoking but it was the fear that pushed me
@@AJYZF1R2010 I know what you mean, my mother smoked her whole life more or less until she got KOL, the she quit smoking at once. I was mighty impressed, she used to smoke three packs a day and went to zero in a week. It’s eighteen years ago and today she’s 80.
I stopped taking pain medicine for fear of losing myself and who I am. As the other comment stated so accurately, the pain keeps me alive and reminds me I’m sober.
Poopies talked about how he OD'ed during the making of Jackass Forever, and he didn't get fired... Really does seem like there was a double standard there.
I got my job back everybody lol
Yesterday was April Fools Day so we know what you did 😂
The other guy was terrible.
Yeah I was really worried… 😂
I never believed you… plus Alex or Peter sucks. Good thing he has a “decent” job. 🤣
It took me way too long to realize it was April Fools lmao
Congratulations to Bam Margera for his continuing sobriety. Since Dunn died, he has been on a downward spiral but I think he's on a better path now.
Wrong. Dunn staged his first intervention.
@@rodbelding9523 thanks for the correction.
Idk he's been taking photos all over bars and pubs in the UK lately so we shall see, mint tea! lol
Bam is upset that his x-wife is denying him visitation with his son. If you look at Bam’s Wiki page there are literally dozens of episodes of Bam making death threats, threatening suicide, multiple arrests for a variety of crimes. Bam is a rebellious teenager stuck in a mans body. 😢
I've been sober for over 2 years. Zero issue with people using anything. If I don't have a reason to be somewhere, I just don't go. Some people in recovery are more annoying than the worst drunks.
Bam's right htough, without CKY productions there wouldn't have been THE Jackass we know, if at all it ould've been some other flavor of it but not without the initial influence of Bam and CKY crew.
I’m sorry that’s not true at all google big brother skateboard magazine that’s where all these guys got their start. Big brother was putting out skate videos and it looked the exact same as jackass. Yes Bam had one CKY video and they put parts of all of big brother videos, and the one CKY video into, a video which is essentially their first video is jackass and their pilot. Yes Bam had a lot to do with jackass but to say that it was all him is wildly ridiculous. Johnny Knoxville shooting himself in big Brother Magus skateboard magazine videos years before jackass. we’re talking early to mid 90s, there’s poop boob and a bunch of others look it up
BB
@@javiercoupe6214 Bam's CKY crew, MTV, Steve-O's crazy stunt tapes, Tremaine with his Big Brother magazine crew, along with Johnny Knoxville as the cherry on top was the right ingredients all coming together at the perfect time to create the Jackass phenomenon! Not all great things need to stay together until the bitter end creating content. Always leave the audience wanting more as the curtain closes for the final time.
I knew bam would not want back in the franchise...even after Jenn, dunn, Missy, novak, the drugs & the booze...he knows no going back to badass bam just be brandon cole margera.
Proud of You Bam❤️
"all the amazing things he has done"
😆😆
I'm glad that he's sober and all but he seemed to have treated a lot of people around him like shit. So this just might be the consequences for having done that.
Thank you, exactly right.
Hopefully jackass is over for everyone. I loved that show and a couple movies but it’s played out.
I loved it too, but it's clearly become the gateway for a lot of pain and problems for these guys, and not only would it not be the same, it wouldn't be right to keep going the way they did without putting themselves through that again. Plus, when working on Jackass 3D and Forever, the boys had to scrounge through UA-cam to see if certain stunts were already done or not - they were fighting to come up with material. They keep going, it's definitely gonna feel forced more and more each time.
I've been an addict my whole life, i wish i could give Bam a hug man.
I am 90 days sober after 17 years straight. I've learned a ton in rehab, but one of them, probably the hardest at first, is just to live life on life terms.
Whatever it dishes out.
Just be where your feet are. In this moment (great band btw)
. Lots of things are going to happen that are out of your control, and when you are an addict, you want what you want and you want it now. Addiction is the single most self-centered condition known to mankind. I hope that, as I am starting to do, Ban will start to learn to take the hard in stride, and keep going & instead, keeping his focus and energy on his wellness and sobriety.
Today is my 90 days too! After two decades of drinking. I feel great and look forward to 90 more....one day at a time. Congratulations! Keep up the good work. You are not alone. 😊
Keep going! Happy to hear this. Nothing I respect more than people putting in the work to make their lives better.
Serenity prayer comes to mind...
Congrats!!! ✊🏼✊🏼
@@Teajryanlove this my friend. I'm about to have 7 years on May 8... Trust me, keep going and the Milestones come way faster than you may think.

Bam Margera… what will he do next?!
What ever the fuck I want
Mad Respect to Bam for staying sober!!👏👏
I respect his decision, part of recovering is understanding what hurt you and moveing away from it.
Bam was always my favorite on the show.. he was funny. For real!
And he was not over the top like the others.
@@CeceliPS3the top of the guard rail like dunn
@@Ottophil I see what you did there.
@@CeceliPS3 I always call Bam and CKY as the relatable side of Jackass and they were the ones doing dumb, funny shit with friends. The Big Brother side of Jackass were the ones doing more "produced" things like Sumo wrestling or anything that needed a TV budget.
Both sides were just as important though, but my point is that CKY was the part that connected more with fans and that feeling was missing in Jackass Forever.
Awesome job bam, hope you and your family the best. And hope you stay sober and get back in touch with yourself. Things will start looking bright again the smoke will start clearing away
But what does Corey Taylor think about Bams neck?
13 years he was struggling I’m just so happy for him that he’s getting better.
I been sober 2 years now I can assure you his mind is not fully clear yet. I still don’t even have a full clear mind I feel after 2 years. Its a life long journey being sober and this is coming from someone younger then him im 31 and i got cirrhosis caught in time where it stopped shrinking my liver and I was taken off the transplant wait. He is very lucky he never got that kind of damage.
Thanks again Brian
Definitely not the saddest thing 😅 😊
And no I haven't watched the whole thing but his friend dying was probably the worst
"VIVA LA BAM" SENIOR CITIZENS EDITION!...LOVE YOU BAM...Hope thing's only get better for you man.
People know that bam threatened Jeff Tremaine's kids in a text but still defend him for some reason. He says that wasn't what he meant, but it's pretty clear. Fuck bam.
I agree, Bam was completely unstable and yet sober he still challenges Johnny to a fight!
It’s a recent interview too and yet he still is that petty towards Johnny.
I've always been a huge fan of Bam. I loved watching Viva la Bam and had all the seasons on DVD. I really miss seeing him happy. I am still rooting for him and he's still my favorite skater. I hope that he continues in his sobriety and I'm very proud of him for how far he's come.
In January of 2023, there was a discussion of dead pools. Bam was really the first to come to mind. I'm happy to hear that he's turning things around.
I think it's great that Bam is sober and has stayed sober for quite some time now. The way he explained things as far as his soberity was so clear... so that was nice to hear! I just think there's a lot of other stuff going on... a lot of people will say "you need to spend time with your kid" and we don't know exactly what he did to make that situation difficult. It seems there's more to the story/more for him to work on. And I hope he gets there... with his loved ones in a safe place 🙏🏻
This isn't just on BAM. Everyone needs to recognize redemption and the amendments required of us all uniquely on the way. Intoxicated behavior is emotions not getting the acknowledgement from those who say they want better for those, we all share responsibility in another's overall prosperity...
Very well said and something many people never consider. Especially these days. Thank you.
@@prophez23 appreciate your understanding of what it is I mean to convey, which I'm sure means you live with this in play
I've always disliked Bam Margera, but it is encouraging and respectful to hear he's getting sober
Hes had a tough time staying sober anyone would i wish Bam all the love and luck in world 🤘🤘✌️🖤🤘🤘
Bam was like a brother from another mother to me. My friends and I would BINGE watch all of the CKY and Bam content we could. We did jackass kind of stuff and skated our faces off. I grew up on this dude’s content. Seeing Bam over the last few years has been painful, but finding out that he’s been 8 months sober has been great. I just pray for him that he can stay sober.
Get a life stan
Not really a sad state that a show from twenty five years is over. You would assume that it was over long ago and they went on to do other things.
I outgrew bams brand of humor, but wish him luck. To some extent, even he's aware that the old style isn't going to work. The dude seems to be making progress and hopefully it sticks. Id rather see bam keep his shit together and do something different before jackass 5.
I really hope bam gets justice jackass wasn’t the same without him. Love him! He’s always been a down to earth good person. The skate parks he made for the kids, the ppl he let crash at his house…… part of his character was partying, and nothing is wrong with this as long as it’s done in moderation so I hope he finds his balance
bam being sober is more important then being on jackass or tv his health physically and mentally is most important glad hes going strong :) Oh bam started Jackass every star of jackass has said over the years it started from the CKY videos its a shame that there all so greedy that there trying to take that from Bam. Jackass franchise is dead
Wait so what is the sad update?
I think the producers/crew seen how SteveO cleaned up and wanted the same for Bam. Knoxville tried pushing rehab on SteveO as well during his early years.
SteveO was a menace back in the day and hard to work with because of his addiction. They finally got over that, and now to deal with Bam doing the almost the same. Maybe they didn't wanna go back down that road again.
I loved watching Bam, and I hope he keeps up the sobriety so he can get back to making us all laugh again like the good Ole days.
Nice shirt man. Awesome vid as always
They pierced his soul not just his character. To heal I found the past has to be let go and left behind. To forgive others, takes forgiving ones self. Bam is just beginning the process. In time he can reconsider the friendship but not the career with them.
He knew the rules, signed the contract then didnt follow through. Guaranteed every member of Jackass would have loved Bam through the whole film but he wasnt in a good enough state to do it.
I really do get what he's talking about but his last decade has been "the world is against me" which is a very addict sort of thing to say. I really hope he stays clean and can sort his life properly
Wishing nothing but the best for Bam. I'd love to see him come back for a Jackass movie. I hope they can all work it out. There's so much history there.
Yes that would be amazing
I recently lost my mother, and going through the mourning process, and the stuff people choose to say to you, was seriously a paradigm shift in my life. People share the most horrific things, jugde your decisions at the hardest time of your life, complain about their health and their own mortality... Suddenly I realized what famous people must go through every freaking day, with all the shit ppl must say to them, everyone treating you different and hard to trust anyone. People might be good as individuals, but as a crowd, or when we worship someone, we are f*cking evil as hell.
In the stunt of the treadmill, we can see him clearly, he must have received a cheq
Sober now also. It's a real struggle. Glad for him.
Idk he's been taking photos all over bars and pubs in the UK lately so we shall see
Golks seem to forget that Ryan was present at Bams very first intervention. He was having real problems BEFORE Ryan passed.
Yes! So many think he started going down the wrong path because of Dunn's passing. I'm sure that exacerbated Bam's condition but it wasn't the cause of it.
I haven’t even watched Jackass Forever because of all of this.. Also I just thought it wasn’t/isn’t right to do it without Dunn.. but of course in the industry they’re in.. Anything for more 💵💵
It sucked, money grab
Hmmm, the point he's still blaming others for his mistakes sounds like he is not really sober or he's still got a long way to go. The pattern with him (and most addicts) is that it's always someone else's fault. Until he takes responsibility for his actions he won't ever truly get better.
When they were making millions off him being wasted they condoned and backed it . When him being wasted was too costly and dangerous they demanded him to be sober . F them all , he is only human and not a puppet at thier beck and call ! Be sober and be great Bam , been there , done that , 25 yrs clean and sober done for ME by ME , thats what truly works !
And after all that time Poopies had a meth problem haha Glad Bam is well
It was over when they grew up and went to rehab
Early Jackass was similar to CKY bc they cut footage Bam already had, plus was shooting on his own in/around West Chester. He wasn't filming w/ the rest of the crew then.
None of it was all that original. Skaters in Philly were all filming their shennanigans, too. Bam and his friends all emulated that. Skaters doing crazy shit is not something Bam created.
Without the Jackass production/distribution, Bam would have still been making what were essentially home movies w/ his friends and selling them through skate shops.
He could always go back to that...
All the love for Bam on his sobriety journey, incredibly proud. I’d also say that when he referred to Jackass as being “ruined”, he was referring to his involvement in it specifically due to the actions taken against him and that’s understandable to be honest
I'm almost the same age as Bam and I grew up watching him on Jackass and Viva La Bam and I feel like he's family somehow due to how public his personal issues have been. It makes me feel so happy to see him finally doing well because I honestly expected him to end up dead one day.
seriously, who cares about bam. he had it all, he had so much money and he pissed it all away. thats on him bruh.
Bam honestly is a pretty good dude. He has his demons and at least he's trying to better himself. Good luck Bam and keep fighting brother. Also shout out to Rockfeed
Shout out to Bam ! We love you Bam !
Someone just posted a picture of him and his girlfriend sitting at a bar yesterday... if bam really wants to change he needs to change ppl places and things entirely
I feel like Viva La Bam pushed jackass to a world wide audience. Sad to see it ending in turmoil but I love Bam and seeing him get sober and seeing videos on UA-cam or wherever else on social media skateboards is sick af. Congrats on 8 months sober.
Always looked up to Bam, he’s one of my idols. I’m absolutely happy he’s sober!! This is a great video!!
At least you set the bar low
Idk he's been taking photos all over bars and pubs in the UK lately so we shall see
As long as he stays sober thats all that matters. His recovery must come first but when hes ready he can do his own show or his own movie he doesn't really need Jackass
this isnt bam sharing anything, this is you reading tweets
Glad he's sober. That being said, he's still not taking 100% responsibility. How would he think Jeff and Johnny should have dealt with the situation? A) Stay on drugs and possibly die or kill someone B) Sideline the whole cast and crew until he decides it's time to clean up his act C) Give you an opportunity to be in the movie, but have to agree to periodic tests and staying clean since they would be the ones your family would sue the shit out of if you died on set D) Tell you you're fired without even giving you a chance. As your friends, they went out on a limb and chose C, yet you want to be a D-bag and still have resentment towards those that loved you enough to piss you off. Their tough love is the very reason you're still on this earth. Grow up Bam.
I think you're right here. At that time Johnny and Jeff were really trying to look out for him and his safety by giving the provisions they did. But an addict can only find their true sobriety when they're ready for it so to him, they were pushing him to do something he unfortunately wasnt ready for on his own terms. I think that's something that will come with more time and healing- forgiveness. I think he needs more time to really realize how everyone around him was only trying to help him in the long run and he's not at a place where he can appreciate those efforts yet. Yea, thats kinda sad, but at this point, he's still trying to make amends to himself after losing so many years of valued life to his addictions. He needs to heal himself before he can heal any bonds of burned bridges and he's just not there yet. I hope some day it will come and we'll get the jackass reunion we always wanted but he's also valid to just move forward with his life in any way that keeps him healthy and sober. Thats what's most important right now.
8 months is incredible
We are all rooting for you, Bam ❤
So pleased hes doing well lets go bam 👏
Awesome! Thank you! 🤘🏻✌🏼😊
I never thought that there'd be a day where I'd finally take Artie Lange off my dead pool, and put Bam on it instead. But that's where I was for the past 3 years, I really hope that they both can stick to being sober this time.
BAM needs to bring CKY videos/movies back! F*** JackASS!!
CKY was timeless. If he builds it, they will come.
Bam talking about the state of affairs at Jackass is like asking Andrew how the royal families going 😂....because he is soooo involved
If he did a new viva la bam id watch i love bam and as a recovering h addict i understand i hope he stays strong for his lil bam
I am honestly happy to see he’s doing a lot better after the news came out he was missing. I figured the next thing we’re gonna see him dead.
Stay strong bam stay sober
I ❤ Heroin
We used to go see hardcore shows way back in the day in West Chester...and the cky guys would always be there...we had the original cky VHS tapes and used to get crushed while watching them hahaha...jackass no doubt took from cky
there’s no way he’s sober what sober man goes to a bar with buddies 🤷♂️
This sober man. I have been sober for 13 years and test my willpower when I go to the bar with the boys.
Funny thing is bam is still in jackass 4 but its a blink and you miss it type deal and they did not credit him
his feet , but hopefully he understands that when someone who isnt yet sober comes around people who are sober but just as bad as any one else there probably doesnt want to be , temptation is a b word.
Wow, that's great ! 💝 being sober. 💜💝🌹😃🙂👍
Nah that sucks
it sucks that he is practically done with Jackass, but after his actions that was tbh expected, he burned that bridge to ash and there's just no taking that back.
I don’t remember what came first CKY or the Big Brother videos like Boob and Shit which was Knoxville before Jackass or did the come out at the same time?
Don't seem like he's been sober for 8 months it seems like 4 months ago he was making TMZ headlines
Bam's been through the school of hard knocks....ville!
Hopefully he'll come to realize that Johnny and Jeff want the best for him. And then eventually they can get together for a Not in this Lifetime reunion.
Bam is my favorite skater. I hope he stays on this sober path
I'm glad he is doing better. He was at Days of the Dead in Vegas in 23 and he didn't look too good. He was obviously high af.
There is a subreddit called "letstalkbam" and its basically a Archive of information for him and it's extremely lengthy.
It is mostly trolls
Did you say us weekly as opposed to U-S?
Still a legend on a skateboard a Beast wish him the best 🤘🏻💪🏻🍀💯
Steve0 admitted that he takes Zoloft. He's not sober.
I hope he is doing better.
i honestly thought he was going to die for a good while there. 8 months ain't nothin to sneeze at! GO BAM!
As far as I’m concerned, Knoxville & others that did not let him appear in the last Jackass did Bam a favor.
Bam was so far gone at that time, he would’ve been an embarrassment.
Glad he is in recovery though.
Bring CKY back and skate your ass off man! So happy to see him sober again! Go Bam!
Bam was always my favorite, and what’s funny is I’m a Brandon from bmore just like Novak and I am an addict In recovery with over ten years sober now. And I agree jackass wouldn’t be without him HOWEVER it grew into something bigger and the other guys are entitled to continue making a living and bam was messing up and made bad choices. It’s a shame but the longer he has clean the more he will realize they didn’t do anything wrong or against him. I hope the best for him and all of them
Edit one thing I don’t like is how he says “they did to me” they didn’t man the addict did the problem not other people and also he still blames using on having money and other people giving him drinks it isn’t their fault it’s the addict who chose to use no one forced the alcohol down his throat like no one forced me To use heroin
That last Jackass wasn't the same, sorry. The world has changed forever and not for the better. It's been over. Move on, stay sober, next chapter in life is normal
