- He robbed. He stabbed. He demanded for a ransom. See how officers from the Criminal Investigation Department solved this brutal murder, where a taxi driver was stabbed and dumped in a forested area in Sembawang.
The highly decomposed body was located 7 days after the murder. Armed with very little information, the officers apprehended the murderer before he could leave Singapore.

This must be one of the worst ways to die. Decent man trying to scrape a living but his fate led him to call out to the man who would end his life. Could have been anybody but just really bad luck for the taxi driver. The murderer doesn't even know why he wanted to kill the taxi driver and just dumped him to rot in the forest.
I feel very sorry for the driver uncle.Working night shift for the family ended up like this,which is very 😢😢😢

The taxi driver's was not alert, if he alert maybe can save his own life's. A bad person we have a feeling and why nite times he needs to go so silent area. He still fetching the suspect going.

Killer most likely had a reason to return to china urgently, but its still super unreasonable to harm anyone for any purpose.
My heart goes out to the family. All the uncle did was trying to earn an honest living to feed his family. The killer got it easy when he was sentenced to death. He at least got to say his final goodbyes to his loved ones back in China which he deprive the taxi uncle. May your soul RIP uncle.

Wang WenFeng got life in prison instead in 2013 after an appeal. Truly don't deserve to be fed and in the prison using Singapore's resources. Dude had the intention to rob with force. Didnt send him to the hospital and on top of that, extort the family more money, $150,000. Come on, he said he only needed $400. He can just work a simple job for a month and be okay rough sleeping to get that amount. True psychopath. Truly a waste of oxygen.
Back in the days, cctv was not deployed so commonly so if he have better plan, he could get away. Just buy a ticket beforehand by borrowing from his friends of friends, he could rob a money changer and escape within the day but i think cash limit is 10k for travelling so excess he can pay back his friend.

@@poolfans it was 2012 when the crime was committed so it is difficult to track someone without the help of cctv, forensics take time too so if u kill someone and take a flight within the next few hours, u might get away with it. His friend offered to borrow money for him if u see in the video just that his ego hinder him to do so.

some of the story was taken out.i know dis bcuz my father friend interviewed the guy.the name who he inerviewed the person was,Lee Leong Hwa.He said that they only have 48 hours to solve the crime.They caught him but not much evidence was found and they cant be very sure if it was him.in the last two hours of the 48 hours,he confessed.The person who killed the old man brought the police to sembawang park.on the way there,the police ask y he confessed.the police told him if he did not confessed in 2 hours he can go back to china.he said that when the lights suddenly turn off,the old uncle ghost was behind my father friend.Thats y he confessed.

From Sengkang to alight Serangoon to transfer to Circle Line to go towards HarbourFront to alight Bishan. Then you need to transfer to North South Line towards Jurong East to alight from Bishan to Marsiling may takes around 50 minutes for journey.
The messed up thing is, the taxi driver very nice to the guy, then he gets messed up like bruh.

That's no way that northern Chinese are speaking like that, the accents are completely different than the re anactment role. Mostly from local Singapore plays a role to be like Chinese. You will see difference if you have watched CCTV broadcast before.

Obviously, this Singaporean actor never have watched one of the CCTV from mainland china but he tried harder to say so. Aside of that, he also pronounce taxi in Mandarin was completely wrong. Indeed, (的士) is normally where only Hong Kongers said it. In the most correct way to pronounced taxi(出租车) where majorities of mainlanders said it every day.

Now i know abt the dead body found at sembawang, at first i am not sure what happened and what case does it involved in, but good that culprit had been nabbed, before i didnt know abt the murder that happen until now..maybe i dont live in woodlands area in the past..
my dad said he and my mom just moved into sg from china then mooved to a hdb flat in sembawang then there was a police came and ask for taking DNA, but my dad did not take the DNA few days later my father said he found out why the police wanted to take DNA coz there was a chinese man murdered a taxi driver just like this video shows is the same crime shown in this vid that my dad said
I live at Sembawang and I remembered a few years back, I will asked to proceed down to Ang Mo Kio police station for an interview.
They asked where was I on so & so date and requested if I was ok to provide my DNA.
I refused, and asked why the police wanted my DNA. Only then the IO told me that was for a murder case.
I left and that was the end of that. I cant remember if that was for this case or some other Yishun murder case.
