i have no idea why this has just dawned on me, that as a gas engineer myself, for some reason i enjoy watching all of these youtube channels of various people doing the same things i do day in day out... have no idea why... thought id have had enough of it during the day... clearly not 🤣🤣
You just like Dan and his pressfit Gun.its nice to see how other people do things you can pick up tips and ideas I love the fold up buckets use them all the time .the jobs so much easier than when I started the power tools etc
That’s going to be a difficult floor to sort out. Amazed at the number of customers changing our perfectly good taps when they could easily fit replacement cartridges themselves.
Keeps us in jobs haha. Yeh it is going to be difficult, I advised they put some protection around the pipes and cement it level. Not sure whether that’s the best like.

Sometimes you have to suck those services/LLord jobs up. You know shit will hit the fan soon as you think it's quiet, back into breakdowns and new stuff you will battle with. You and Tiff need to do a collab. Proper renovation.

Same here. Mainly routine and reactive work. Larger projects are in the pipeline. Booked, but being deferred by customers. Both private householders and landlord work. Somehow, things are getting more expensive. I wonder why?

Been self employed for 20 years and April and May are always quiet months, think the handyman is going to be seeing your bill😃, out of interest how much do you charge for a tap change I charge £60
Great video again, you say basic jobs etc… how much you roughly charging for tap swaps etc and basic repairs Do you feel like these basic jobs inherit cheaper prices. Your in an out in 30/40 mins Do you feel like oh it’s a £20/30 pound job as you feel guilty or do you have a minimum charge not matter what the job is
Hi mate, thanks for the comment. I have a flat hourly rate for tap changes, toilet repairs and the likes, and it’s £70 The only time I’d charge £20-£30 would be if I was doing something like topping up the pressure on a regular customers boiler

Next time you fit a CP4 and you’re not using open therm, pop that black terminal block out and it’ll make life much easier getting cables in especially when it’s tight. 😁

Turns out the old one had the nut fused on to the long screw. Who would’ve thought this would happened within 2 years. Thanks Dan for another great job

‘Scrap’ has gone right up again……copper is over 5 grand a ton! Took in 2 bags of copper and 1 brass not even that heavy and got £170!
