IM A PLUMBER AND STUFF JUST DOESN'T COME LOSE I WOULD HAVE REPLACED THE LINE OR WOULD HAVE WARRANTIED MY WORK..THE WHOLE THING WAS IDIOTIC FRO. THE START
I am a retired plumber and was ALWAYS looking for simple repair. An AO Smith water heater is a top quality unit. In this case I might have added Teflon tape to the fitting if it wasnt chrome plated brass. Brass doesn't need tape.
I wonder how many of the experienced plumbers knew they were being set up? The problem was just too obvious for most homeowners to miss. There's no water on the floor and most folks probably wouldn't notice a difference unless they spend time in the basement and happen to see it.
Same thing happened with me and my central air. I moved in 5 years ago. Its an older unit. First time using it I noticed air blowing out was a little warm and not ad cold as it should be. One guy came out said I need a whole new unit. Second guy came out noticed freon was low. Topped it off and been fine ever since. Be careful folks the scammers walk amongst us.
Yeah. It's still leaking and you could be paying yourself back in energy savings with a new unit. I had an old freezer in the garage. Cost me 20+ a month to operate. A guy sold me a new one ,same size, less than 10 bucks a month. Electricity is dear!

Wish they would give a list of the honest ones. Everyone here would call them.
“the only water here is coming from this *NUT* “
your comment is the only funny comment in the whole comment section lol
Thank you little one
LOL
miaowzerz 🤣🤣🤣
2:06 that guy was probably fresh out of high school nobody’s perfect
I’m a plumber, and honestly wouldn’t expect it to start leaking from the inlet like that out of nowhere.
I would have definitely knew it was a setup
Pretty sure thats why the "scammers" recommended a new heater because, either its a setup, or something is seriously wrong with the heater. Im sure the loose bolt at the top is not a common thing to just become loose oit of nowhere.
I agree
@@FilthTribeFTP The loose bolt? Tell me you don't have a clue what you're talking about without telling me you don't have a clue what you're talking about.
Love the overall premise of the series, but I would find it much more rewarding if they recognized the good plumbers instead of focusing on - and cornering - the more shady plumbers.
" I didn't really want to fidget with anything"
Uhh, aren't you the plumber?
IM A PLUMBER AND STUFF JUST DOESN'T COME LOSE I WOULD HAVE REPLACED THE LINE OR WOULD HAVE WARRANTIED MY WORK..THE WHOLE THING WAS IDIOTIC FRO. THE START
Hats off to the guy who didn't even charge the callout fee.
I am a retired plumber and was ALWAYS looking for simple repair. An AO Smith water heater is a top quality unit. In this case I might have added Teflon tape to the fitting if it wasnt chrome plated brass. Brass doesn't need tape.
Rheem > AO smith
@@sfswklips3184 what.
The plastic gasket seals that flex connector., the teflon tape would've done nothing useful.
The plumber didn't want to fidget with anything, glad to know they came to sell, not fidget...
they should do this with service centers at dealerships
Lisa Guirerro would have probably confronted the pipes.
And got piped by the guys
She the type too do that
I'm Chris Hansen from Dateline NBC. Why don't you have a seat?
Have a seat. Right over there.
That’s why things like this should be taught in schools. Simple home maintenance. It will save you thousands over time.
I wonder how many of the experienced plumbers knew they were being set up? The problem was just too obvious for most homeowners to miss. There's no water on the floor and most folks probably wouldn't notice a difference unless they spend time in the basement and happen to see it.
I can’t wait to watch these series! Keep making them!
Freon is only low if it is leaking.
Anybody who don't have to replace a water heater within 6-7 years is very fortunate indeed
😂My parents were watching the news and this was on there 😂
“I really didn’t want to fidget with anything” Lisa’s literally paying you to fidget with it.
😏
After watching a few of these Plumber videos Plumber’s give me nightmares
You see this wrench, yea with this wrench just turn yea...
She's a real deal plumber...lol
