Hello! We're Maria and Olivia. We're currently living in Athens, Greece after deciding to follow our dreams and start a new journey together traveling within Europe (and hopefully beyond soon) and filming our adventures. We love what we are doing so far, we're learning so much about the world, ourselves, and each other every day and we hope you enjoy our content and have a smile or laugh along with us!
Poland is one of the cleanest countries I’ve ever visited, so much history fantastic buildings, the food is delicious and the people are very friendly and kind. Have fun
Sounds like Copenhagen....
Good to see that kind of comment, especially when we - Polish sometimes do not see it :)
Gdansk is such a beautiful city. Fantastic drone shots! Those homemade noodle dumplings at the end looked incredible. Makes me miss Poland. We MUST visit Gdansk now!
Thank you Nathan and Amber 😁 Yes! When you get the chance you should definitely visit Gdansk! You wont regret it 😍🤤
OMG! The city is beautiful but the food looks so good ❤
Oh yeah, and so filling as well
Wow this is definitely at the top of my destination list😍
I really love Gdańsk. It is out favourite city. It is safe, has reasonable prices, it is close to the sea, has beatiful architecture, amazing history and very good infrastructure with its own airport and cheap buses and trams. Greetings from Germany. PS Your video is really awesome and both of you are very likable.
I definitely agree, it’s definitely one of our favorite cities we have visited so far 😍 what part of Germany? We really wanted to visit your country right before Christmas but it was out of our budget 😅 Thank you for your kind words, they mean a lot ❤️
@@MariaOliviaTravel we are from from the area near Cologne, but we have also polish roots, my brother lives in Warsaw. We have been in 2019 for the very first time in Gdańsk and kept visiting it over and over again, still discovering new things, so we bought a flat there which we rent for tourists and use by ourselves.
Gdansk looks like a really cool city! I haven't even heard of it before I watched your video.
U need to go there. It is actually fantastic. Me and my wife we felt in love with Gdańsk from the very first we went there.
What Martin said 😊 Definitely worth the visit! 😍
Great video, I don,t really know much about Poland, although I do work with many people from Poland in Scotland ,good to see you tube and people like yourselves, showing parts of the world,we have never seen, the food looks really hearty and wholesome, Andi like the way you both are total foodies👍, it,s like it does, not matter where you are or what your doing,as long as there is going to be good food or a shop or supermarket😊,hey maybe you could do a video where you gotta catch your food lol, anyway once again good tour of Gdansk, it's probably even better in summer 👍
You have such incredible photography! The sun and shadows. That rainbow. Outstanding!
That means a lot, thank you 🥰😁
Such a beautiful place and the food looks just sooo amazing
It’s probably one of our favorite cities so far 😍
Welcome from Toronto. Thank you Maria & Olivia, for this lovely video. We went to Poland few times, and we had always a good time. Gdansk is so beautiful city in Poland and in Europe as well. We loved polish food, and amazing Amber jewelry. Thanks 🤠🤠
Hello Mr. Janus 👋😊 Thank you for the kind words. Indeed, Poland is such a cool country to visit. Gdańsk is probably one of our favorite cities we’ve visited so far.
Poland is Great 👌 .. Cant wait to see you guys explore Philippines... 😚😘😘😘 ..
We are really looking forward to eventually making our way to Asia and more specifically Philippines 😍😍😍
another fantastic video! Beautiful city indeed.
Wow, what a great destination, and again with the Scottish link. You saw these two names, right? Stare Szkoty and Nowe Szkoty, which mean Old Scotland and New Scotland, some 30k Scots lived there in the 1600s! It looks stunning as well, added to my next continental itinery 😊
James Kabrun (Cockburn) lived in Gdańsk. He was the richest merchant in Gdańsk (In the 17th century), the founder of the local 'Elizabeth Theatre'. A theater in this style was built again a few years ago. The patron of the project was the current King Charles III.
Good catch! 🧐 We missed that. That is so interesting! I'm glad to hear that, you will really enjoy Gdansk 😊
Love this movie enjoy Poland girls my home country.
Grets from London my second home country 🤗
Well you have an amazing country 😍 what a coincidence when we posted this video we were in London 😁
Those homemade noodles look delicious 😋
🤤🤤🤤
Gdańsk is one of our beautiful cities that have a lot to offer for tourists. I wish you a pleasant stay, have fun ;)
Thank you 😊🙏
I loved your series from Krakow and now this Gdansk video is awesome as well. Gdansk is gorgeous indeed. You should visit other parts of Poland in the summer. So many other stunning cities and breathtaking nature to explore.
Btw, there are many different types of dumplings in the Polish cuisine. Pierogi are most well-known. It's nice you got to try kluski leniwe/pierogi leniwe. Some other dumplings to try are kopytka, kluski śląskie, pyzy, kluski na parze, knedle to name a few.
Thank you for your kind words 🥰 I'm definitely saving your suggestions for next time we are in Poland 😍
What you call 'nudle' is Polish gnocchi. It's called a hoofs (kopytka). These sweet dumplings are called lazy dumplings (pierogi leniwe).🙂
Oh good to know 😊 So yummy! I'm drooling thinking about them.
@@MariaOliviaTravel You can eat pierogi ruskie in Poland. People mistranslate their name as Russian dumplings. Ruthenia dumplings have nothing to do with Russia! Ruthenia (Ruś) today western Ukraine. Her English name is Ruthenia not Russia! They were brought to the crown by St. Jacek Odrowąż from the Ruthenian Voivodeship, hence the name. In the colloquial language, however, the word Ruski became a synonym for a Russian at the beginning of the 20th century. It's such a curiosity.
@@yakeosicki8965 "Ruskie" named not from country name Russia but from the territory named Rus more connected to Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. So, the territory Rus was far before Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. First from "Rus" emerged Belarus. So the name "Rus" have been kind of stolen by Moscovia, changing name on Russia. Russia took care of this by prohibiting the use of the former name of their The Grand Duchy of Moscow - or simply Moscovia and ordered its own people to use Russia to lay claim to Rus' land, punishing the disobedient.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful video. I really liked it and watched it with great pleasure.
Thank you 😊 that means a lot!
Tekstura is also a great restaurant in Gdańsk, especially for breakfast. You guys should check it out and try the żurek soup
I love your happy vibes! Looking forward to your next vlog!
❤️❤️❤️ thank you! Sending a bunch of happy vibes to you 🥰💃
Hi! I so loved your Kraków vids! Welcome back!
Hi Dominika 🥰 thank you 🙏
10:00 Try gray potato noodles (also known as black or iron noodles) sometime. They're made from raw grated potatoes. They come with fried bacon, caramelized onions and lots of sauerkraut. Some people add a piece of sausage, I don't need it. They are the best! My saliva is dripping when I write all this. xD
They're less known because I think they are regional - Silesia and Greater Poland.
So delicious 🤤🤤 thank you for the info!
Greetings from Tricity :-)
Hello 😊 your area is beautiful! We wish we had more time to explore Gdynia and Sopot!
Also y’all are so cute
We’ll be traveling there soon and I was wondering if you could share who you contacted to get permits for flying your drone in the city? I hope you can help because I really want to fly there! The shots you got were very pretty!
🌻
I decided to subscribe after watching your videos guys
Big 👍

POLISH CHEFS ARE THE BEST...POZDRO
1:38 Ouch, good thing there was no one around, because you were in danger of a double attack from the locals: the first for holding a spoon in a glass (Russians do it acrimoniously btw) and the second for wearing a beanie in a restaurant. xD
Hahaha 😅 I will keep that in mind for next time we are in Poland.
Next time, look for chicken liver with fried onions in a restaurant, I guarantee you will enjoy it.
fajne
If you haven't been yet, add Brugge Belgium to your list.
@@peterrusatsky8395 we went last April! It was great! 😍 Happy 4th of July Peter
✌️👍
są i kochaniutkie 😘 cieszę się że was widzę 😊
❤️🥰
Welcome to my city girls ❤
Nice town, will travel to Gdansk soon. Is it expensiv?
How was the weather? My wife has MS, so we can't be in a place hotter than 30C (85F). Thank you!!
It depends what time of year you go. If you go in the summer I believe it can go that high. We went in the fall and it was around 40-50 F
Thnk you!!! @@MariaOliviaTravel

This is not a real Polish tomato soup. It's tomato puree with basil :D
What does the real polish tomato soup have? 🤤😊
@@MariaOliviaTravel This is meat bouillon on tomato puree with pasta or rise. I Invite You for true Polish tomatos soupe ;)

Ruskie Dumplings, not from the name of the country Russia but the name of territory named Rus, territory older than Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. Three countries that have the right to lay claim to parts of this territory named Rus. But the beginning have something with Norse.
Why does every polish city look the same???
When hot wings video?
I wonder if you can make hot wings pierogi 😝
regarding the myths often repeated about Poland is how religious it is. Is not. It's not even the most religious country in Europe
Right. The most religious country in the world (and partly in Europe) is Russia, where the president has been declared an archangel.
Haven't been to Gdansk yet, but it's a beautiful Hanse city. I just don't feel at ease going to visit Poland due to the political situation of the country including anti-LGBTQIA+ and anti-abortion legislation. This despite the fact that I'm half Polish (unfortunately though, I don't speak Polish).
Are there any good vegetarian or vegan options in Gdansk?
Of course, there is no problem with vegetarian and vegan options in the Tri-City (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot). The conservative trend in politics will change after the elections. Large cities (Gdańsk, Warsaw, Wrocław, Poznań, Kraków, etc.) are open cities.
I really doubt their stance on lgbt issues would impact you at all, particularly in the cities. Your loss
unlike Western countries where homosexuality was punished, in Poland it has never happened. We just don't care. While in the West they were persecuted, they rose to high positions in Poland. Now Western countries have turned 180 degrees, while we are still not interested in someone's orientation. However, we do not intend to promote this or give special privileges to such people. You are a victim of propaganda.

Znasz losy Alana Turinga, wybitnego matematyka w GB, którego wykończono za homoseksualizm?
U nas powszechnie znany homoseksualista Karol Szymanowski został rektorem państwowej uczelni.
Waldorff czy Bogusław Kaczyński mieli swoje programy w telewizji. Swinarski rządził krakowskim teatrem. Itd.
W Niemczech zdaje się, że ostatni więziony za czyny homoseksualne wyszedł z więzienia coś około 2000 roku.
