It is safe, has reasonable prices, it is close to the sea, has beatiful architecture, amazing history and very good infrastructure with its own airport and cheap buses and trams. Btw, there are many different types of dumplings in the Polish cuisine. Pierogi are most well-known. It's nice you got to try kluski leniwe/pierogi leniwe. Some other dumplings to try are kopytka, kluski śląskie, pyzy, kluski na parze, knedle to name a few.

      @@MariaOliviaTravel You can eat pierogi ruskie in Poland. People mistranslate their name as Russian dumplings. Ruthenia dumplings have nothing to do with Russia! Ruthenia (Ruś) today western Ukraine. Her English name is Ruthenia not Russia! They were brought to the crown by St. Jacek Odrowąż from the Ruthenian Voivodeship, hence the name. In the colloquial language, however, the word Ruski became a synonym for a Russian at the beginning of the 20th century. It's such a curiosity.

    • @sebseb86
      @sebseb86 Рік тому

      @@yakeosicki8965 "Ruskie" named not from country name Russia but from the territory named Rus more connected to Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. So, the territory Rus was far before Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. First from "Rus" emerged Belarus. So the name "Rus" have been kind of stolen by Moscovia, changing name on Russia. Russia took care of this by prohibiting the use of the former name of their The Grand Duchy of Moscow - or simply Moscovia and ordered its own people to use Russia to lay claim to Rus' land, punishing the disobedient.

    10:00 Try gray potato noodles (also known as black or iron noodles) sometime. They're made from raw grated potatoes. They come with fried bacon, caramelized onions and lots of sauerkraut. Some people add a piece of sausage, I don't need it. They are the best! My saliva is dripping when I write all this. xD
    They're less known because I think they are regional - Silesia and Greater Poland.
