Julie, an observation that could be relevant about Besmenov's takeover stage, imo, looks like it's coming from above, with the WHO treaty (in end of May 2024), and from below, with the organised mass migration of Chinese military age males (reported on recently by Michael Yon, Chris Martenson and Bret Weinstein) seen at the Darien Gap.
      Amazing interview, thank you! 🙏

One of my favourite guests you’ve interviewed Benjamin. Thank you Julie - loved the depth & history you covered. Looking forward to the release of your film. You’re very skilled at conveying how normalized the subversion has become in our culture, already much of it swallowed as ‘good’, with the moral high ground already taken & ‘correct behaviour/thinking’ incentivized & rewarded. I agree with your analysis of current ‘End Stage’ destabilization. So much was already done to our parents & even grandparents generations which had them buying into progressive ideology, with their guard utterly down to the mass programming they were under.

The sad thing is that it's always much easier to subvert and destroy than it is to do the reverse. What's that thing? Brandolini's Law? The amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it. There is probably some similar principle for countering ideological subversion. When some critical mass of the populace has already been subverted and demoralized, it would take something of a miracle to restore sanity. I think that's why true believers in Trump are so fervent. They know we need a miracle and put all their eggs in that basket.

The woke take over of the church struck a nerve. I've been following the growing schism in the Catholic church even though I am not a Catholic myself. A lot of traditional Catholics are really unhappy with the direction the pope taking the faith. Priests and laity are being ordered to comply or face consequences.

A somewhat American/European oriented understanding of the transformation of a society unfortunately.
The style of takeover can be a violent revolution where the infrastructure is destabilized and there is a takeover over in a short period of time according to the 4 step process you outline, but it can also take another much longer form when a nation has a long guerilla war prior to the democratic election of a communist group.
They have to create the sense that a person is a warrior for change. The guerillas are given a number and placed into a military structure with commanders.
This is also occurring in the creation of social justice warriors and NGO s.
First identify an enemy. If there is no enemy create one. This is done by classifying innocent people as the enemy because they are hardworking, they support their families, or they show initiative. This can also include being a person of a certain race, religion. It can be because they are monogamous, prudish, exclusively heterosexual, or high achieving at school.
A key feature is changing the meaning of words or ideas such as compassion, mercy, equality, justice and gender.
Then blame the enemy for all difficulties, real and imagined, and indoctrinate people to hate and to take up arms and kill them.
Communists deliberately create poverty then blame it on others.
Look at Canada. Trudeau' s government uses the climate agenda to impose carbon taxes on multiple levels of the supply chain, which creates inflation and reduces spending power, creating homelessness and poverty. It has the same effect as systemic corruption in a capitalist system.
You can kill people socially by undermining the structure of the family, destroy access to resources, silence them and exclude them from obtaining opportunities, without needing to engage in exile and torture.
As a last resort communists kill people with guns and poison the water supplies, but their takeover is usually more subtle, by using existing social authorities like teachers, priests and the media to indoctrinate people. These authority figures have to deny the authority of the family in order to supplant it and seize " ownership" of the real means of production, i.e. children.
You also have to make it hard for people to resist by ostracizing them,e.g. Cancel culture and encouraging people to report "hate crimes". Struggle sessions are great at reducing morale and sowing confusion by introducing forcible acceptance of new ideas and language.
However in a direct conflict there is a much nastier way to kill people and that is by poisoning teenagers with a drug first developed in Africa. The teens turn around and kill and rape their own family members.
I saw this first hand in the Asia Pacific area.
Indoctrination starts with small children by firstly taking away the authority of parents and telling the child to ignore them or report them to the authorities.
Then they desensitize them to morality and expose them to sexual abuse by adults and older children.
They also supply them with drugs. Exploiting people sexually and by taking drugs is seen as an ideal of self expression. It becomes decriminalized in the mind of the victims, just like in a religious cult.
The child loses all sense of personal dignity and self worth.
This is exactly what you are seeing in American schools and universities.
Other examples of this Cuban style of takeover is The Farc in Columbia, Fretilin in East Timor and Hamas and the PLO in Palestine. Behind every civil war you will find similar groups. It doesn't matter which religion they choose to use as a vehicle. Islam and Buddhism are just as vulnerable as Christianity.
What I see now is the younger generation being used to corrupt their own generation through spreading DEI, trans ideology and the use of toxic social media.
    However there is another danger.
First you have to normalize the democratic process of electing Marxists.
However in every society that has tried to suppress communism you see another political process of electing criminals to lead on the Right of politics. There is a loss of commonsense on the Right. The Far Left and the media can exploit that to justify the acceptance of hardline Marxist alternatives on the left. They displace and destroy the center of politics.
And yes the Catholic church and their close friends amongst the Protestants have been corrupted from the top down. There is a simple way of dealing with it and that is called abandoning the institution. In other words stop funding them and stop attending.
Most importantly use your brains. Preserve your sense of identity as a person of dignity and self worth, and teach it to your children.
