I personally appreciate the voice over explanation of what you’re doing and why. Thank you for sharing and the video, not to mention saving another handgun.
@@TheKinzlerBros I respectfully disagree. While I appreciate the knowledge transfer, I use these videos to wind down before going to sleep, dialogue doesn't help with that. Your videos though, do what you like.
I just turn the volumn down on these type of videos when I'm using them to unwind and relax. For me its not the talking but the hammering and such that make it hard to relax.
I must say that that was outstanding pistol marksmanship without rifling in the barrel - initially I didn't think you would be able to hit the side of a barn without the rifling but you proved me wrong! Great restoration too by the way!
When I watch these I wonder who the guy was who hand assembled it the last time at the factory. Be interesting to see who they were and the pride they took in their work. I think that person would be happy to see the care and skill you put into restoring it.
@@TheKinzlerBrosjust don't understand why y'all intentionally Rusty things and then act like you're restoring them you're using vinegar and saltwater... it's seriously just so dishonest
Hi Brandon , Another superb piece of firearm restoration , more history saved , loved the rubber glove finger clicking , you are a true master , if it was an Olympic sport , you would be a gold medalist ! Thanks for posting , always enjoyed immensely .
Good video, but you should think about your audio in the future. Having to crank the volume to hear you would be okay if these vids weren't constantly interrupted by ads that basically stop my heart when they come on. Still, beautiful firearm, and great restoration. Thank you.
Glad y'all are back. Been hoping nothing was wrong. I always look forward to your next video. I always learn something from each video. The videography, narration, and notes all contribute to the top quality of every video. Please keep the content coming.
Ya we wish we could put more videos out but, it takes time and we still have a full time job. Thank you we are glad to hear it. Thanks for watching we appreciate it!
Is there anywy to restore the rifling in the barrel? I've seen people mig weld a bore and machine it down but I don't know if that's an option in this application.
Very fine work as usual Kinzleri! It looked like there was a quarter-cocked safety function on this fine piece when you worked the hammer during reassembly...yes? Or was it just me? Carry on the awesome!
Nice job, though you don't have the snap trick down. The snap should appear at the end of the first shot before the work is done, then immediately reveal the results on the next shot, the finished view. Try it.
Great job! I'd be proud to own that old Colt. And compared to that first view of the barrel? Shot out out or not, you made it work. Some pilots in WWII would carry their own personal pistols. I can imagine some young pilot in WWI having that Colt from home with him in his jacket in case he needed to make a forced landing.
Excellent restoration/conservation work (as always). You never disappoint with your professionalism, and attention to detail. Now that your including the voiceover with the vids, is also a great idea.
I love the bare metal after sandblasting..everything clean and new-looking again...and the metallic clinks as all the parts go back together.. I guess Im just weird. Hey, you mix a new batch of blueing every episode, can't you re-use the batch, or does it go bad or something?
Unless that gun was a range gun at a shooting club or some such I find it hard to believe that one shooter actually put that much lead down one barrel. That isn't a hot round. Even if you had new rifling cut the bore might be to large. At ten feet or so it might still hit.

Correctly restoring them maybe. But they are intentionally rusting these firearms, and then putting up this Farce like they're saving them 😣

How did you bead blast the interior of the magazine? Was the Evaporust soak sufficient?
The evaporust helps but, I'm able to get it with the fine glassbead.
