      Richard Pasha way to much gear for no reason.

      This is a pretty standard loadout, apart from the 2nd flashlight.

    I'm getting Bothell Vest that is the updated design of this one. What was the plate you mention at the 4:45 mark? I hear Tier HH3-7.

    like sidearms, batons are easier drawn from the belt.

      Depending on how your carrier and belt are positioned, yes and no. You might have to experiment a bit.

      Quite a few other agencies nearby were already using them and we were able to use their results (no negative public perception, only positives for the officers). Also there is a quite a bit of research on the medical benefits of them. Read this info. www.google.com/search?q=mayo+clinic+study+eau-claire+police+external+vest&client=safari&hl=en-us&sxsrf=ALeKk02c5WD8oymrv-HIAd_Wy3PsrJQgNw%3A1626385381905&ei=5avwYMTtNtW8-gSal5WwAQ&oq=mayo+clinic+study+eau-claire+police+external+vest&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAM6BwgjELADECc6BwgAEEcQsAM6BAghEApKBAhBGABQyJUBWOTdAWDe3wFoBHACeACAAeIBiAHdHJIBBjAuMjAuMpgBAKABAaoBB2d3cy13aXrIAQm4AQPAAQE&sclient=gws-wiz&ved=0ahUKEwiE9NLXhebxAhVVnp4KHZpLBRYQ4dUDCA0&uact=5

    Do your traps hurt because of the weight?

    • @forcesolutions4154
      @forcesolutions4154  5 років тому

      No, and my back no longer hurts due to all that weight on the belt. Read this Mayo clinic study about it www.policeone.com/Officer-Safety/articles/482040006-Load-bearing-vest-vs-duty-belt-Ergonomic-researchers-determine-the-winner/

    To each their own. As long as you stay safe. With that being said, its too heavy. Especially being an a physical altercation.

    What belt buckle do you run? The plastic one I run on my nylon squeaks.

    • @forcesolutions4154
      @forcesolutions4154  7 років тому +1

      I hate plastic buckles on duty belts. Hate, hate, hate. Been using belts with Cobra buckles . . . so much better. I use a HSGI Suregrip padded belt, a Volund Gearworks Micro Battlebelt, and several ESSTAC shooter's belts. Belt used depends on what I'm doing. All have cobra buckles.

    • @THSeitz22
      @THSeitz22 7 років тому +1

      Yeah, I didn't think it was a big deal until I was clearing a building by myself and all I could hear was my buckle clicking/squeaking. Don't think I'll need a padded belt since I'll be moving a lot up on my carrier and currently run a Blackhawk drop holster, but definitely will get a cobra buckle 👍🏼

      Are you still running this vest carrier? I’m going to pretty much the same thing but it’s the armor express traverse. There are not any videos really besides yours that goes in depth

    • @forcesolutions4154
      @forcesolutions4154  6 років тому

      @@nickhall4303 yes. The 2.0 Bothell version of this carrier has improvement though and I will transition to that in a year or two.

    Fantastic set up I have the same black one only suggestion is if policy allows get the Blackhawk for taser less retention but much faster draw on a chest rig as well as platform for mounting is more stable then the bladetech. Albeit as stated less secure then bladetech stay safe brother

    • @forcesolutions4154
      @forcesolutions4154  7 років тому +1

      Thanks for the suggestion. It's a good one. I have a BH Taser holsters on one of my other rigs. Hate it. Recently went to a HSGI "stun gun" pouch and took the bungee retention from the HSGI radio pouch and put it on the "stun gun" pouch. Like this setup a lot. I will at some point post an update on my evolved setup. You stay safe, too!

  • @micro777
    @micro777 7 років тому

    What do you have attached to your taser holster? I can't find one that doesn't take up multiple molle spots. I'm trying to keep my equipment tight together.

    • @a38337
      @a38337 7 років тому

      There is nothing attached to it, hard to tell because everything is so tightly spaced.
      There is a tactical pen tucked behind the taser holster, with a blue rubber band on the pen for grip.
      This taser is a X26P, in a Blade-tech taser holster.
      The holster came with a spare cartridge pouch attached to it. I cut it off because it took up too much space and carry the spare cartridge elsewhere. The holster is secured to the MOLLE by a large tec-lock style clip. Not entirely fond of it.
      I suggest using zip ties to supplement the tec-lock clip.
      Recently I went to a HSGI "stun gun" taco pouch. I like it, mostly. Definitely takes up less room.
      With both ways of carrying the X26P, I try to get the grip of it above the radio, to save space. No issues interfering with use of the radio or the Taser by doing this.
      Hope that helps!

    • @micro777
      @micro777 7 років тому

      a38337 it helps a lot. Thanks. Unfortunately there's not a lot out there to support taser holsters. If there is, it's not practical. I will give it a shot. Thanks again.

      We have people with back and hip issues who went to EVC and this has made a huge improvement in their lives. Of all dozens of LEOs who went from a traditional duty belt setup to a EVC, only 1 has gone back to the traditional duty belt setup. He’s a longtime guy who it’s just his preference.

    Where did you purchase your taco molle pouches?

    • @a38337
      @a38337 7 років тому +1

      They are very widely available from many retailers such as SKD tactical, and from the manufacturer HSGI.
      I now prefer KYWI pouches, made by ESSTAC, for my magazine pouches.

      Yes, but . . . not wearing anything on it that I wasn't already wearing on my belt. Wearing it in this manner is much damaging to one's lower back. See ua-cam.com/video/5_Ad5osD_9Q/v-deo.html

      Force Solutions true and that's the first thing to give out on law enforcement after retiring . The chest would be central weighted to bear more loads it just take some getting used too and retraining for old school officers.

    The only thing I don't like about this EVC is that the BUG pocket does not secure a BUG very well. I strongly suggest you consider other ways to carry a BUG.

      Force Solutions how much does the gear affect placement of soft body armor panels? what I mean is, do they weigh them down or are the panels secure where they need to be inside the carrier

    • @a38337
      @a38337 7 років тому +1

      The panels stay put, no issues at all with them moving inside the carrier. Also no issues with placement of the gear causing the panels to move. The panel dimensions and profile of the cut do need to be appropriately sized to the carrier, though. That is pretty important. Hope that helps!
