- Today Allure of the Seas docks at the home of the Shack Chicken Sandwich, where we try to visit a sandbar, but get rained out. We have dinner at Sabor and watch the Crazy Quest. Oh yeah, we're engaged now.

Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl..... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

Good tip about the ring in water. My dad lost his class ring shark diving a few years ago.
Also for Brian’s ring silicone is the way to go. I have a titanium one but it didn’t fit after year 1.
Child size fingers. I have lost lots of weight and I bought a $2 size 5 wedding ring to wear. It stops my real rings from falling off. It is better to have a ring made for your finger size. My engagement ring cannot get resized without damaging it. The jeweller suggested an online cheep thin wedding ring to keep them on. It works really well until I can get my ring remade.

Oh hi! I was a jeweller for many, many (many many) years.
You're correct that you shouldn't wear your rings in water. Chlorine can eat away at gold, and salt water is relatively abrasive, and has a habit of getting in settings and wearing them down.
Even showering and handwashing, for the longevity of any plating (if the ring is white gold) and the sparkle of the stones, you should take the rings off. Soap builds up so fast and dulls the shine.
Best you can do for home care of rings is an unltrasonic cleaner and a polishing cloth, and they'll stay sparkling for years!
And I know I said it on the video that announced, but I'm going to say it again: congratulations!!

I proposed to my wife on Independence of the Seas, and the crew helped out so much with the engagement surprise ... on the evening of photos in the Promenade the Captain was aware of the surprise engagement, and when we walked up to meet the Captain, he actually had the ring and read a poem called "The Sea Blessing" and officiated our surprise ... and then announced to all "She said YES"!! ... it was a wonderful night ....

We were at Cococay Sun March 3rd, the day after you guys were there. It was our first time there, we tried out Hideaway Beach, think if we go back we might go to a quieter part of the island.
