- Today we spend a full day at sea onboard Liberty of the Seas. Because of bad weather we were unable to dock at CocoCay, so we tour the largest suite onboard, the Royal Suite! Room 1640. Then we check out the Suite Lounge and have dinner at Sabor. This is Day 2 of our 2023 cruise vlog.

Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl..... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

You both have a heart of gold. Just how the refuge incident has made you feel about life and death situation and you both displayed normal human emotions of feeling distraught. God bless you both and I remember watching your live stream from the Tampa intl airport after getting off from Serenade of the Seas. And the seas was indeed very rough and the barf bags were out everywhere.

I normally don't comment on your videos, if ever for that matter, but it really made me think better of y'all after your comments about the rescue, at least you have some empathy for others. It's a lot more then most UA-camrs say or feel after one of these rescues.

I was on a cruise with Matt Hochberg on the 7 day 2021 Christmas cruise to Mexico on Navigator of the Seas. It was my first ever cruise and I did a bunch of research and always gravitated to his Vlogs. Such a great guy!

I love your videos. But you have a couple of times, in these videos, that your 1,400 sq suite was cheaper than disneys veranda room. But you need to mention one was a booked during pandemic and other is price as of when you actually cruised.
Your sense of wonder on seeing these rooms and ships is so much fun. It was interesting to hear what you spent "on board" even if you paid in advance.

I did an all inclusive trip to Mexico once and every morning they had fresh juiced juice from honeydew and watermelon to strawberry and banana with blueberries yum!!??

127 days until our first cruise (sort of)! I cruised Royal in the mid 90’s , but it will be a first for my husband.

Our ship did a rescue on my last cruise. The Coast guard came alongside, late that night, and offloaded the refugees. They were taken to Miami for refugee processing. If they are not granted asylum parole, then they are repatriated on a coast guard vessel.
Wet foot dry food. That is why they target the Dry Turtogas. We are so fortunate and it was meant to be the ship was there. god bless
WOW that refuge incident was just an insane thing to witness im sure... but since American boarders were lifted im sure a ton of this will be happening more and more. and i read that they mark the boat so that it can be spotted from the that its ok
When we get to our room, we unpack our suitcases and hang up our clothes in the closets and dressers and keep the suitcases under the bed the rest of the cruise. I mean, you could try once? Lol! :) Love your videos!

I was on Liberty, and did the tidal wave. It is a lot of fun. If you don't get to ride it on this sailing, go back to Liberty. It's worth it!

Dinnertime question: You're stranded on a cruise ship for an entire year. You have what you need to be just fine--food, water, activities, yada yada yada. Which one do you want to be stranded on? It can be any ship from any cruise line.
I am in Arizona and my family is in Texas. I am curious as to how to arrange the trip. Should I use a travel agent? Do you have one you recommend? I am sure you can book through Royal Caribbean online but since we would have to set up flights to get to Florida and figure out how to get from the airport possibly to a room and then to the ship the next day, the thought of all of that is very overwhelming

I’m only 4:00 minutes into the video, (So I’m not sure if it’s mentioned later on) and wanted to know how many people can stay in the the suite, myself TBH. And according to Cruise Critic it can have four people sleep in the suite.
I've been on one cruise in my life, Royal Caribbean, and the seas were too bad to make it to CocoCay.
The majority of the world don’t live like us in the west. We’re are extremely fortunate in this life. Living in America, regardless of status- condition, we’ve all one the powerball of life.

I had a friend who worked for ICE. Cuba has a special status regarding immigration because of decades of broken relations. Automatic asylum. Other nations that qualify for asylum the immigrants require a hearing. But they have to reach the US. If the raft is met at sea they are returned to Cuba. If it makes it to the US they get to stay.

I went and looked at the "cheapest" April 2025 cruise on Liberty and the Royal Suite was $2296 per person. Doubtful that it'll ever be that cheap again, heck of a bargain ya'll got!
