I have been weighing my batteries from the day I got into this hobby nearly 10 years ago. I remember boarding a commercial airliner that was not completely full and the passengers were asked to move to different seats to balance the plane. It helped to improve fuel efficiency.
A very good tip Will. ( I do love it when I fly something like my E-flite 1.2m T-28. It seems to fly just fine no matter where my battery is placed . . . with in reason. )
I put a mailing label with my info on my batteries and before I cover it with clear packaging tape, I write the weight and date of purchase on the label. I tend to line the front of the battery up with a certain point in the plane so that the extra weight of a longer, heavier battery is closer to the CG.
I tape mine to the tail. That way I can get cray cray.
LOL
I've used velco, since I don't want the tape to mar the planes finish.. Great idea though.....
Real Good Info and I seen it on my planes too if I switch between a Spektrum,Zeee,Ovonic, HRB Batteries have a good weekend WIl😊
Thanks Frank. Appreciate it.

For sure, there are some planes that just don't care what battery or placement. But, then there are those that are a bit picky....
Good idea
Thanks. I appreciate the comment
Good stuff
You never know where content comes from. Just a simple conversation with Chris about battery weight got me thinking........
