Isn’t it amazing that Both The Peanuts (Charles Schulz) and Lamb chop (Shari Lewis) were both starting out on the Ford Show. Early 60s a booming decade of production success it seems.
She was a lovely person and a true talent. Such a soft, calm, and sweet nature. I believe this helped all the millions of children who watched her lamb chop show. We need this energy again for today's youth
I'm 41. Her 1990s series came around just as I was growing out of children's television (it started when I was 11), but I saw *an* individual episode (or maybe it was a special) on Disney Channel now and then. I was pretty obsessed with magic (as a performance - not as a 'real' thing) and I noticed how she used her body language and such to direct attention to the puppet when it was speaking, so any lip movement on her part would be less noticeable. Of course, I also tried to 'throw my voice,' but not consistently enough to master it.
Many thanks for the upload. Sheri Lewis was a legend. It is too bad that she took Buffalo Bob and Howdy Doody's slot those many years ago. RIP to pretty much everybody on this show.
I'm a big huge fan of Shari Lewis she was so beautiful and she was an angel became a TV Legend she was a superstar and the legendary and she got her own friend Lamb Chop
We had a VHS tape of her puppetry from her later years when I was a kid. After a recent viewing of the Star Trek episode she wrote called "The Lights of Zetar," I looked this up. She was certainly talented and beautiful!
Another great early color broadcast, I love to see them. Isn't it amazing, 1961, a ford falcon station wagon gets 30 miles to a gallon! i'll just let that sink in.
That song at around 2 minutes, " I've got plenty of nothing quotation mark, is a good attitude to have because it shows you not to value material things but to value things that count like family nature and love most of all. .Things to really value in 2022 that unfortunately world leaders do not value..
I Love Lamb Chop , My Mom use to watch the show with Me . Thank You For The Beautiful Memories 😍 Lamb Chop . Love You Forever , Michelle & My Mom Marjorie 💋
This was even two years before the It's a Mad Mad Mad World theme song which made a reference to French Lamb Chops being topped with panties, in that case white paper caps
So sad to see Sheri Lewis died in 1998 from pneumonia. She was born in '33. Her daughter, Mallory is carrying on the legacy of Lambchop. Charlie horse is dead. Mallory is delightful and on UA-cam, 2021.
That was great. Thank you for showing us. She was one of the greats. Here is a current ventriloquist masterfully executing the craft in his award-winning comedy series. ua-cam.com/users/TrilloSuede
A lot of golden-age TV shows were sponsored by car manufacturers. For instance, "The Lawrence Welk Show" was sponsored by Dodge, and Chevrolet sponsored "The Dinah Shore Show".
Sad that no one today would enjoy the first song. Instead kids are treated to what they consider "family friendly" entertainment today - Cardi B twerking to w.a.p.

Pony tail forever! I don't like her big puffy hair from later on. :(
@@woodykelleher9253 the big hair didn't bother me , she was still lovely til the day she died
Many thanks for the upload. Sheri Lewis was a legend. It is too bad that she took Buffalo Bob and Howdy Doody's slot those many years ago. RIP to pretty much everybody on this show.

Bless Shari. She was the best! ❤️❤️❤️

Just looked up how Ford models do in 2023....18-26 mpg!!!
You know I'm 65 years old now and I still find her ventriloquist talent to be amazing! I used to love to watch her and all these shows.
Thank you for posting Gerald this is a time capsule I may have never seen otherwise.
Shari Lewis was so talented and an absolute beauty.
Shari and Ernie-,two of yhe most legendary names in showbiz!
This video gives me hope in my future

I was actually born on this day!!😊

Love the peanuts characters in the intro

Wow, a Ford Falcon wagon!! Haven't seen one on decades. And I'll excited to see Charlie horse and Lamb chop (Shari Lewis was AMAZING 🤩🤗)
I didn't realize there were any animated bits from Peanuts until '65.
Also, Charlie Brown had a blue shirt?
Exactly.
13:13 lambchop segment. you're welcome :)
I liked the young lady who did a fine job singing "Summertime " with Ernie during the Gershwin medley.
I Love Lamb Chop , My Mom use to watch the show with Me . Thank You For The Beautiful Memories 😍 Lamb Chop . Love You Forever , Michelle & My Mom Marjorie 💋

The closest we’ll ever get to seeing NBC-era Shari & Lamb Chop in color
Sheri was so pretty. Her smile was so sweet. 15:47
Dang this popped up on my feed lol, its nice
Nice to see ya again cousin Ernie!
Imagine how rich you/your family had to be in those days to see this in its full color glory!
Classic "golden age" television!
I wish Shari could have sung one of the Gershwin songs!
So sad to see Sheri Lewis died in 1998 from pneumonia. She was born in '33.
Her daughter, Mallory is carrying on the legacy of Lambchop. Charlie horse is dead.
Mallory is delightful and on UA-cam, 2021.
Her husband turned her life support off and left her to die alone to watch football
She also had terminal cancer too. So sad.
Thank Heavens Mallory Lewis is keeping her mother Shari's legacy alive!
I just fast forwarded to the lamb chop part. I was born in 1980, I've never heard of that host. :-P
He was a very famous singer in his day.
Well, “Bless your pea-pickin’ lil’ heart!”
His big hit was “Sixteen Tons”
He had a rich and powerful bass/baritone voice.
Eisenhower was president for only 8 more days after this aired.
SHARI LEWIS
Fabulous!
Shari's red hair remids me of Lucille Ball!
That was great. Thank you for showing us. She was one of the greats. Here is a current ventriloquist masterfully executing the craft in his award-winning comedy series.

I watched her and lamp chop in the late 60s.
Cute intro

When the Big Mac is $7.00, but you have $6.99.
What a crush I had... have on Shari Lewis!!!
13:35
6 pennies in 1961 is basically $300,000 in 2024 money 😐
63 cents, really
Special animated appearances of charlie brown from the comic strip: peanuts.
Wow did he say that falcon wagon gets 30mpg???
Meh. Who needs genius talent and timing and ad lib intelligence when we have cgi and pay-to-play ivy-league writers.
Well said.
Is this the only broadcast of her show that weren't Wipe
I pray that isn't the case.
Did every car company do a show?
A lot of golden-age TV shows were sponsored by car manufacturers. For instance, "The Lawrence Welk Show" was sponsored by Dodge, and Chevrolet sponsored "The Dinah Shore Show".
lol yer gonna be my prince chao ming (charming) XD
19:46 why does this remind me of pingu
The Ford show by the peanuts

People's attention spans are too short now. It's a sad state the way things are, and where they're going.
