    Storytelling, filming and images, yep as you say around 12 mins after the sunrise at the lakeside one of the more magical occasions in your life.. for sure - it came through in the film perfectly. Tension building as you walked up through the fog to stood infront of that stunning vista the following morning. Lots of great images capture by yourself and associates but loved the telephoto river image and the stitched pano at 12.36. Loved your reflection on the trip and your experiences as to what makes a trip a succes etc.... sometimes as you have just attested, a photograph might not be the moment that makes but a memory - long may it stay with you. atb Alan

      Hi Alan! Thank you very much mate. I'm glad you liked the video. Standing there up by Lac Blanc in the night watching the silhouettes was incredible. What the fog hides :)
      The photograph of the braided rivers may be my favorite from the whole trip :) Thanks again mate and all the best!

    Great video and awesome images Oddbjørn. Those river systems are called Braided rivers, and we have loads of them here in New Zealand especially on the south island. That looked a truly amazing adventure, and very soulful. Thanks for sharing!!

    It's fun to watch you seeing things for the first time that I've become familiar with over the years - my first trip to Chamonix was in the late 90s. You do the mountains great justice with the photos.

      @@oddbjrnaustevikfoto Apart from a bit less ice and a few more holiday apartments that are ridiculously priced not a great deal. We always stayed up the road in Argentiere, which is a bit out of the way anyway. Zermatt has changed more - a lot more money has flooded into the valley and it's become a lot more crowded. You really should look into coming east and checking out the Dolomites - particularly the area around Cortina - it'll knock your socks off!

    • @oddbjrnaustevikfoto
      @oddbjrnaustevikfoto  5 років тому +1

      @@MikePageKaltenberg Yes I can see that! We were supposed to check out the Dolomites from the Italian side, but we had to cut the trip short by five days, we had planned to hike the Tre Cime trail :)

    Now that really was a sight for sour eyes :) Stunning images! I think my favourites would be the panorama and the braided river (although I think it could also look very nice turned 90 degree to the right?). The video also looks like a very long and well good Sony commercial :D (which I would affirm)..
    Thank you for your great work!

    This was a workshop you arranged and led? Had you gone there before to work out arrangements and make reservations for the overnight stays such as Mount Blanc? So beautiful, that only high altitude and rugged mountains can portray. I would love to have been on that one.

    • @oddbjrnaustevikfoto
      @oddbjrnaustevikfoto  5 років тому

      Hi Steve! It was a workshop yes, but it was a private workshop. The group asked me to join them for their upcoming trip to the alps and I said yes! They did all the planning. But booking to those places we stayed can easily be done online. I will post info when my next open workshop will be if you are interested. Thanks for the kind words mate 🙂🦊

    It's not "Sermatt" the Z is pronounced strongly like "ts"
