the animation is weirdly smooth and is almost uncanny valley when you look at the stiff movements of the speedrunner...I love it
I love the shocked horror before the cutscene begins. These are simple , cartoonish fun.
This is the best meme of speedrunning I’ve seen since ever. And the T-Posing killed me every time!
I rewatched this 10 times in a row already and can't stop laughing. It's a masterpiece!
I've watched this at least 8 times because I can't get over the boss's dumbfounded look
Oh dude this is so good that I was literally thinking "man, Joel brought his A-game again". Fucking phenomenal work. I don't laugh out loud at a lot of stuff, but...
I like how he resets every time he gets something put on his desk, love it
The last part wasn’t even needed, the speedrunner did it because they had a few seconds to spare
You absolutely nailed the style. Good job!
Edit: I think that every single person that has criticized this video for not being original enough should make their own original and creative sketch in the Joel Haver animation style. If not then feel free to keep your unhelpful negativity to yourself.
Ya OK. 🙄
Rotoscoping. It’s called rotoscoping.
@@WalterBurton Thank you for your time.
@@K4g4m1🙄🙄🙄
I love the moments of shock right before he starts his next set of lines
The "thunk" and T-pose every time he glitches, oh god my sides 😂
"It just works." -- Hodd Toward
Ah another Spiffing Britt fan, I see, we are men of culture.
We need a game where the NPC responds to glitches. Imagine Oblivion with self aware NPC's.
intentional glitches in games suck because it ruins the fun of finding something the devs couldn't fix
@@quasur57 It can be handled as a fallback, like if a player enters a locked area without finding the key the NPC's could have a surprised default reaction to it regardless of how exactly the player managed to sequence break there.
@@TheRenofox Deus Ex 1 used to keep track of stuff like that and bring it up in dialogue. Always amazed me when I'd think I was glitching something else and I get called out by NPCs.
nah man we need that for Cyberpunk 2077
imagine Oblivion with self-aware developers :)
the way music restarts each time the NPC resets it's memory for every mission is a nice detail
Was hoping for a scene where the protagonist would bunnyhop at incredible speeds. Nicely made :)
Their look of shock and confusion: did he just do that?!
I'm just imagining this game as an LA Noir sequel, but one where you aren't in the police department.
this was hilarious hahaha! you did a killer job with this style that i first saw from joel haver (shoutout to him and his crew). looking forward to more of your stuff!
I love that we're seeing more videos after Joel made that tutorial, I love these
1:13 my name's not shane kid
"Did you hear somethin?"
"Thought I just heard somethin..."
Underrated NPC moment.
Good video man, high quality stuff. Screw the people saying you're a rip-off of or for some reason should credit Joel. Its pretty obvious this is your own premise just in a similar vein and style of videos. I don't think some people know what "copy" or "plagiarism" actually means.
Keep it up, please make more!
idk how I found this shit but this is the greatest accidental watch since Palpatine's Journey
LOL!
The "two NPC's giving their scripted line about the same thing" trope always gets me. "Did you hear- *throught I just heard something!*
Great work man! this was well executed!
That quick double take after he was shot. Fucking love that
such a classic lol
This just added 50x more entertainment to watching speedruns/ymfah videos.
