It’s beautiful seeing a mother and a son working together seamlessly in a restaurant. They work mostly in silence which goes to show how harmonious they are. I can imagine how it must’ve been like when the son first started working and the mother and father teaching him all that he knows now. Wishing these two all the best and longevity in life ❤
thanks for pointing out the working in silence part. I dislike it when people in F&B sector talk with their colleagues while serving you. Imagine the extra ingredient in your meal, especially if they are unmasked
They work in beautiful harmony, no need for talking. The gentleman has an enormous amount of patience and kindness for the strong lady. He constantly watches her and makes sure that she is doing okay. It is very inspiring to watch them have so much respect for each other. I have been to a few shops like this one in Japan, where I felt very humbled before the endurance of the elderly and mostly before their commitment to excellent customer service. Thank you for sharing the video.
I just randomly get in to this Resturant and found out there is so many history there. The mother invited us to write down the feeling at her memory book and she told us her legs was injured and pin but she still try her best to dish out for us. This is the most memorable experience I ever had in Kyoto.
I was there 2 weeks ago but the mother wasn't there, hope everything's ok with her. It was a great experience to me and the food really tasted like home. I def won't forget about the experience.

"Natural"? It's artificially enhanced to appeal to the creepy ASMR demographic. Natural ambient and environmental sounds would be very welcome, this isn't. Only specific things are audible and everything else is muted. You don't wonder why? The internet is full of creeps and those that pander to them.
@@Lycaerix You're way too aggro for no reason. Maybe you have misophonia? I do, most of what is considered ASMR triggers anger in me rather than a good feeling.

Such a sweet old lady and a caring guy, she went through a lot in three years but no matter how old she gets and how weak she gets she continues to work hard for the store as well as help her son. Amazing work these two have done, I definitely want to visit their shop if ever I happen to travel there.
Little details I noticed that made me smile and warmed my heart: at 13:54 you can see how tiny she is compared to the young men taking a seat at the table 😭🥰 - the way the son drains the noodles - her little giggle at 17:43 when she reaches the food to the customer. I enjoyed watching this mother and son duo working - so much respect, masterful skills and just a very welcoming atmosphere- it opened my heart just watching. I bow to both of them and wish them all the best. If I travel Japan one day, I will make sure to visit this little restaurant ❤

This reminds me of the grandma that used to sell fresh made udon for lunch in downtown SF- I had to rush thereto get in line and if I wanted to get some - they also close the shop when sold out. I appreciate these restaurants where hard work translates to the taste in their food. Thank you.
Grandma, please accept my sincere respect and regards from Indonesia 🇮🇩🇮🇩
Me too. From Australia
They seem so happy and proud of their work. The food looks wonderful. I could eat there every day.
Saudades do Japão! Natsukashii!
Achei curioso! Um abraço
@@RodrigoSouza-dt9sq it is normal, i don't even not talking for 12 hours everyday.
What are you doing here brazil, where did you learn natsukashii from and why you call Japan japow?
@@luanagomesdemoura1049 Sorry, I can't read spanish, could you type in English in repeat please?
The dedication and love this family has for Udon, brought me to tears. I wish I could try everything on the menu. This is truly a special Udon restaurant ✌️
Yes true
Exactly! I was so touched by the dedication of this family to their craft that I was tearing up as I watched this. Truly special.
@@beaglesrfun5896 I was tearing up too
❤
Anyone who has ever worked in gastronomy knows how hard this job is. Good team the two. Thanks for the insight into the kitchen and de recipes.
Grandma is so cute when taking orders and talking to the customeres🥰
Such a well behaved group of high school kids. Love how they are very polite to the old lady. She seems happy to see the youngling visiting her little restaurant.
Yes probably already their parents ate there as kids too.
@@khoi83 Without any doubt... customers 5th generation! 😃
Seeing grandma cook with so much energy and prepare everything - I felt like crying
Hi grandma. Stay healthy and keep inspired all 🥰
Oh wow, bless her little heart. She has a back like my grandma, and I could never imagine my grandma up and working this hard anymore.
Thank you for watching the video☺️
I really respect her hard work that doesn't make me feel her age.😳
i admire the 4th generation owner. He is still making udon in small baches despite it is hard and time-consuming, which is why the they haven't open another branch in 100 years
