Thanks for an interesting and extensive review Manuel. For me it’s the price that will limit my choice, but the ES version will be priority, manual shift and a Center stand for maintenance. Looking forward to a test ride in the next week or two.
Nice review! I would like some more details about the differences between Electronic Suspension and Not Electronic apart from the obvious that you don't set them manually. Do you feel better handling with ES ? Are they semi active and how well do they work? Also it is the first time I hear that center of gravity in Africa Twin is low!!! Finally if you had money only to choose between ES or DCT option (for road and everyday use only) which one would you choose between those two? Maybe ES and quickshifter is a better option than DCT and not Electronic Suspension?
Always amazes me people can ride off road on narrow trails with a bunch of other people so close to them without fixating on the person in front of them.
I've had mine three years and mostly do touring, but I find the opposite of what you said, it is very top heavy. Maybe because I have the ATAS version with the big tank. Remember to put it in S3 to get better rpm and response. Never drive it in D, it's ridiculously low rpm that way.
Really wish they had done wireless CarPlay considering it’s on a motorcycle and you don’t want a charging cable hanging there and it’s not something that’s really “upgradable”. Would be amazing if you could update the head unit when they come out with a more powerful one down the line that doesn’t take so long to start up and whatnot.
Thanks for the thorough review. I have a question about the DCT in sports mode. Do you not feel a quick gear shift? Or it is but not fast enough for you?. Also how fast is it changing gears when you press the button? Is it instantaneously or does it have a lagg?
In sport mode it will hold on to the gear longer. The cool thing is that you can still shift the bike while in auto mode and the shifting with paddles is instant! Much faster if u tried using traditional lever. I’m on my 5th DCT bike and I would never go back to a manual clutch. I wish ppl who are not that familiar with the DCT, would stop trying to compare it to a traditional bike clutch. The DCT may not be perfect, but it’s getting pretty dang close to it. Ride safe…
Low center of gravity??????????? I think is the first time i heard this for the africa twin!! I thought was too mutch top.heavy Something change for the 2024?
absolutely the same bike....with more engine compression and a little heavier...in my opinion the 23 crf1100L was more pretty the rear and front...the 24 wins for the air ptotection...would say NO for electronic suspension in an adventure bike.
@@ManuelLucchese1 I was joking because in the video you said people in the comments are going to say I’m insulting them because using a DCT transmission 15:30 😂
I have a 2021ATAS es! Awesome machine! Done thousands of kms off-road, it owns it!
I wish that color would be available in the USA.....bike looks really nice!

I want to try out the manual with a quick shifter accessory.
I have the 2023 Africa Twin Adventure Sport Manual. It's an awesome machine. I will probably get the quick shift in the future. Thanks for the video.
Thank you.

Honda UK website says wet weight is 233 kg for manual transmission which is considerably higher than previous ones. ES manual 234 kg . ES DCT - 244 KG
Yes that is the weight with the liquids, in the video I mentioned the dry weight
I thought es has 2 kg ?

If you want higher RPM on DCT you can set it in settings too. You tested it with eco mode :D
nice video
Hello have quick question the display it is work at arctic temperatures at minus 50

Do you prefer the Africa Twin or 900 tiger Rally pro?

What do you think this motorcycle only for street? I an big fan of dct and i am 2m tall. That 21” front wheel i don’t like.
What hand guards are those
Does it have cruse control?
Yes
I would like to hear how the bike behaves on the sand, soft sand like a beach, and hard like desert.
@@rudydalessandro1094 I don’t think this is the right bike for that kind of envoironment as it has too much weight like any over 1.000cc bike

2024 crf1100 vs f900gs?
Does anyone from Spain know why they aren't selling this model over here?
